FAZER LOGINTIA'S POV I didn't change out of my school uniform, and just like that, my parents and I were leaving the Dawn pack for the better.I couldn't help but feel bad. It was my fault we had to leave. I didn't know why the moon goddess put me into this situation. If I didn't deserve a mate why did she give me one then? The drive was silent, my mother would turn her head to check up on me once in a while to see if I was okay. I wasn't though. The car drove for hours before it finally stopped at a diner, my dad was the only one who stepped out of the car. He returned with food, water, and a few supplies. I didn't feel like having anything so I only had water. We resumed our journey, and after a long drive, the car came to a halt on a quiet road. Two men approached us and my dad got down to talk to them. I think they were warriors and we were at their borders.” Where are we?” I asked my mother and she turned her head.” Somewhere safe.” That was all that I got.” My mate and my daughter.”

TIA'S POVThe next day was the weekend, which meant I didn't have to go to school or face the pack.I locked myself in my room, not crying but too embarrassed to step out.I only stepped down from my room when I was sure there was no one in the house. I didn't know how to live with the embarrassment of being rejected or how to face my parents. They saw me get rejected. And the last thing I needed was for them to make me feel worse than I already did.I stepped into the kitchen, and my mother had left food in the microwave.I turned it on and went back to my room to brush my teeth.I returned after a few minutes but the food was still not warm so I had to sit down and wait a little longer.I turned the microwave off after some time and started eating. My chest suddenly tightened as I recalled everything that had happened. I bite into the bread, my vision blurred with tears. After a few bits, I emptied my plate in the bin and washed the plates in the sink before tossing them into the
" Tia, are you ready!" My mom's voice rang out from outside my door, and I looked at myself one more time in the mirror before walking out of my room in a long, red dress that clung to my curves and only loosened at my knees. It wasn't my usual but today wasn't a usual day. It was the moon ball, it happens once a year and wolves like me get to mingle with other wolves either from the neighboring packs or from here.Chances of bumping into your fated mate were high but then I doubt I would find mine because I haven't shifted yet. " You look gorgeous." My dad's deep excited voice came as I stepped down the stairs.“ Of course, my girl is beautiful.” My mom stepped forward and kissed me on the cheek.” You have grown, Tia and I'm proud of who you have become.” she said in her loving motherly tone that made me almost blush. It wasn't every day that you got to see this side of her. All loving and soft. I mean she was known to be the toughest female in the pack. “ I love you too, Mom.”
