In Heat. “I’m telling you Lance, something isn’t right. A pack princess shouldn’t be here!”After stripping the bed and remaking it, I planned to take a shower. I turned on the water but left my clothing on the chair by the side of my bed. Cake shop sanctuary.“Lance?” I plea to him to control himself. “I said RUN!” He screams angrily at me. Yet he said he would never be angry at me. A whimper leaves my wolf as we move just in time as Hong crashes out of the canteen and tackles Lance to the ground. That should buy me some time, but where on earth was I meant to run to? My legs started to move towards the front of the training facility. I could hear both Lance’s and Hong’s wolves howling at my increasing distance. I run towards the town, hoping I can find somewhere open to hide in. Maybe the coffee shop will be open by now. I continue to run at full speed glancing over my shoulder every now and again just to make sure I am alone. All of a sudden a sharp pain creeps up my lower abdomen and I can tell my heat is now on full whack. But it’s never been this painful before! Angel “Aida? Aida angel?” I hear a voice call to me. “A few more minutes Mum!” I reply. Mum always called me her little angel. I hadn’t slept this deeply for such a long time. “Aida?” A huskier voice calls my name and kisses my check. My eyes open at the touch and it takes me a minute to remember where I am. I’m in Dillon’s and Leanne’s love nest apartment above the coffee shop still and I’ve embarrassingly fallen asleep on Lance’s chest. I look up at him and he is softly smiling down at me. I feel a tingle on my tummy and I look down to find my T-shirt has risen up slightly. As we made it back to base it was nearing the end of lunch time and I could make out most of the lycan’s eating in the canteen through the windows.“Let’s just grab a drink okay?” Axel turns to me knowing I wanted to stay locked up in Building B until tomorrow. Even more money! Bored! Bored and bored! It had only been a few days and I was already relying on Blake, Axel, Tucker and Lance to keep me occupied. Reliance! I didn’t like relying on people and gave myself a big ticking off. I’d eaten so much recently, that I decided to skip breakfast and would make up for it at lunch. Yet again I was tidying up Blake’s side of the room. She must think a cleaning fairy tidies her bed all the time. This girl was amazing yet a bit of a slob. By lunchtime, Blake still hadn’t returned and without a mobile phone, I couldn’t text her, even if I had her number, to see if she was okay. I headed to the canteen, starving and ready to over-indulge into today’s menu. As I queued up, I noticed that Nadine was back in the kitchen along with two other women. Accustomed to mind pain.Hong and I freeze in our tracks looking at the angry five lycans baring their teeth to us. Lance’s eyes turn from their hypnotic brown-orange to the hot molten lava red that burn into my head. Axel, Tucker and Mav are just as angry, as they continue to growl at us. I look to Blake who has crossed her arms in front of her chest, dropped her hip and tapping a foot against the ground. “I told you to stay here!” She scolds me. I didn’t realise I was a child that needed to report my whereabouts. “I skipped breakfast waiting and then decided to have lunch. I then needed to pop into town!” I was really taken aback by their attitudes and the anger radiating off them. They all had very strong lycan auras. “Town is shut on a Sunday! Skirting around the facts. I turn off the water from the shower and hear raised voices in the next room, where Blake and I sleep. I don’t have the energy for this right now so I quickly get changed and with my hair still wet, climb out of the bathroom window. I wanted to use one of the computers in the break out room to look at apartments and research possible areas. I don’t plan to drive at any time during my life, so it would need to have good train and bus links so I could still get around. As I placed my feet down on the ground outside I hear a throat being cleared behind me. I turn around just as I close the window to see the Alpha looking at me. “My office now!” He orders at me. Like a naughty school girl I follow him with dripping wet hair, through the courtyard into a building I hadn’t entered before. Cottage pie and some sharing. I quickly grab my bottle of water and busy myself to cool myself down. “Aida?” My name on his lips sends a buzz to my core and I don’t ever want him to stop. “Hhmm?” Is all I can manage. It’s okay though, because it sounds like I’m busy with my dinner. Not at all imagining his tongue vibrating down below. Aida stop it! “The men…” He starts but I cut him off. “They meant no harm, I think they just forgot I was just a she-wolf.” I turn so that he could see my face. “Oh believe me they knew!” He responds with a small growl. “Oh!” “And you aren’t just a she-wolf!” “Says the Lycan who tried to command me earlier.” I raise an eyebrow at him before turning back to finish my dinner. “We came back from a threat to the King, to find you weren’t here and Hong was also gone. I was worried.” He walks closer to me and I can feel his aura closely behind me. “You don’t need to worry about me!” I’m sure he has plenty of she-lycans he can worry about and wrap up
