Sinopsis
Myra has always wanted to meet her mate, its all she has dreamed of all her life. When her parents die in a rogue attack, she ends up in the hands of the enemy, who tortures her everyday.Her wolf is very resilient and helps her through the torture until she one day escapes. She lands in the territory of Xavier, the most ruthless, feared alpha in the world. One look at him and she knows they are mates. Her lifelong dream to meet her mate turns into an absolute nightmare when he rejects her. She embarks on a journey to make him love her at cost, she has nothing more to loose anyway.

CHAPTER ONE
THIRD PERSON'S POV
Myra winced as she ran a finger over her wrist. It was bruised, as usual. Nothing was new about that. She had been going through the same pain and humiliation for the past six years, now she had just turned 19 and still all of it was the same. She had tried to escape so many times, but had never been succesfull, her ill fate, she had always termed it.What made the situation even worse was that the alpha of the pack that had held her captive was claiming that she was his mate. She was sure he wasn't her mate since she hadn't felt any bond with him, but her denial only brought her more pain.She had a strong wolf, after all she had survived 6 years of abuse and torture. But everything has its limits. Lately she had not been feeling her wolf. Perhaps she was only taking time to heal and gain new energy. All of it would pass eventually, of that she was sure.When? She asked herself. She had no idea.All she needed to do was survive till the evening. Since it was the festival of a new moon, nearly everyone would be at the celebrations then she would be able to escape.That evening she managed to pick the lock to her cell with a spoon she had sharpened and curved. Within no time she was leaving the pack territory. She was tired and oh so hungry. She hadn't eaten for two days.A punishment for going against the alpha. The men manning her cell had been curt enough to inform her. Once she was sure she was a bit far from the pack, she sat down to rest. Only then realizing how bruised her body was, wincing whenever wounds came into contact with the cold grass."Rhea, you there" she whispered into her mind, hopefull that her wolf would show its presence for the first time in a few days."Yes" came a weak reply.She gave a small smile, gratefull that her years of torture had come to an end. She just had to make it to a new pack, if the alpha was kind enough, maybe he would let her join the pack. That was all she prayed for. For the first time in many years , she thanked the moon goddess for helping her.After resting for a few hours, she started her journey. When she didn't see any structure in sight, she decided to spend the night in the jungle."Let me heal you" Rhea communicated through the mind link."You are the one who has carried me this far and i know you are weak. You won't survive if you heal me. I can't, I can't live without you" she reasoned, tears flowing down her face.She hadn't cried at all in six years. Every pain she had gone through, she had always stayed strong, but the thought of loosing her wolf had her in tears."I'll be fine. I can't help you from here but atleast i can heal you and give you some of my energy. This way you will be able to save both of us." Rhea replied.After much deliberation she realized Rhea was right.She needed to be healed and needed energy fast, so she agreed. Myra felt like she was plummeting into an eternal void, it was Xavier's hands on her body that kept her from doing so.His mouth on her was so insistent, his hands wandering. Days had gone by since Xavier and Myra had had any private moment. It was demanding, she learned, to be a luna. When the day was over, she would go back to their room but he was rarely ever there. After the attack on the pack, he had become more vigilant. He made sure he personally patrolled the borders each night. That was until he made sure there was no more threat.That would all change today. She thought. She missed him, she admitted to herself. It had been hard having him so close and yet so far. She would prepare for his return, she decided.She made her way to the bathroom, for a shower. After that she decided to pick out something appropriate for the night. She looked at her closet for a while before settling on a red lingerie. It was so bright and so revealing. Xavier growled as he fixed is eyes on the building before him. The council building. He could tell they had been waiting for him from the number of soldiers that were outside. Third persons pov. Xavier paced up and down his large office, trying to think of a solution to his missing mate. This had been exactly what he ahd been afraid of. He had known, somehow, that having a mate wasn't the most sane idea ever. He was a powerful alpha yes, but having a mate would mean having to worry about the councill taking her, and now just that had happened. He found himself feeling desperate. No no, that just couldn't be. There was no such thing as desperation in his vocabulary. Still he craved her presence. wanted her more by every passing minute. Myra's pov. It is said that happiness can confuse us at times. When we are happy, we tend to forget all the terrible possibilities that life can throw our way. Even if we knew when and how something terrible was to happen to us , we would still be reluctant to accept it. Take my case for example, after experiencing the joy of having a mate for a few weeks, i have already forgotten how cruel life has been to me till now. Well, at least my ill fate showed up again. This is what happened. This morning Beta Ryan reported suspicious activity at the border . As expected Xavier went to check it. Turns out it was just a trap. By the time he and the other warriors got to the border, the rogues had already made their way to the park house. I am happy that no one died even though a few pack members got hurt.
