Lost

"Look at her, she is insane, she needs a psychiatrist, her mental health is so unstable, are you the father? She can not take care of these kids." Concerned for Mira and her kids' wellbeing, Dr. Black enquired.

"No doctor, I am just a good Samaritan, When my friends and I traveled to Mexico a few months ago, we decided to go river rafting. We watched as she fell off the bridge, appearing to have been hit by a car.

"We did not know she was pregnant when we hurried her here in the hopes that she would recover. For the past nine months, I have been covering her hospital expenses, and it does not appear like she is getting better. A young man in his early twenties said.

"She is doing well medically, but she is unstable psychologically. It appears that she must have experienced some kind of trauma that led to her depression. In light of her mental state, it is recommended that we remove those children from her care after six months of breastfeeding, assuming she does not recover."

"Then, what would happen to the kids?" The young man asked.

"There will be two options: either you look after the child until she recovers, or we take them to an orphanage where they will receive excellent care." In response, the good doctor said.

"When do you think her condition would improve?"

"Sir, I am a medical doctor, not a psychiatrist, but from what I understand, depression is a difficult condition to treat; it may take years for her to fully recover."

"Well, I am still in college, and caring for those kids would be very expensive. I believe that the orphanage would be the best option."

"It is unfortunate that such a poor young girl could experience such trauma that will cost her mental health, but no worries, sire. We will still keep an eye on her, transfer her to the psychiatric hospital, and do the needful as well. Thank you very much, Mr. Ken. We will need people like you in this society."

"I will continue to check up on her on a regular basis, thank you, Doctor Black. Bless you, kind sir." Mr. Ken remarked as he left the doctor's office after shaking hands.

As expected, after six months, Mira's health deteriorated. She was taken right away to a mental health facility so that she could get medical attention. Her children were handed over to the foster home.

After being separated from her children for a few weeks, Mira went insane. She loved her children more than anything in the world even in her lowest moments. Her mental illness became 'insanity' when her children were taken away.

Due to Mira's improper medication intake and two hospital escapes, the doctors had to place her in intensive care, where she was even placed under lockdown and watched by countless people.

"Doctor, where are my children?" Mira questioned, glancing seriously at the doctor who had injected some sort of medication into her drip.

"Your children visited Santa Mira?" The good doctor told a false hood only to defuse the tension caused by her glance.

"I wish to see my children." Mira roared and shook uncontrollably on the bed.

"Mira, you must get over your anxiety; your children are OK." He gave his assurance.

Mira jumped off the bed and grabbed the syringe from him violently. He attempted to flee but she jumped on him, knocking him to the ground and stabbing him repeatedly in the chest with the syringe, he screamed for help, alerting security.

A short while later, additional medical professionals barged into the room, dragging Mira away from the physician and giving her a tranquilizer shot that sent her into instant unconsciousness.

Due to his severe injuries, the doctor needed emergency medical attention and was taken to a hospital.

Mira screamed, "I want to see my kids," as she awoke a short while later.

The doctors didn't respond to her, they persumed that she was going to scream for a few hours and then fall asleep, but this time maybe they were wrong.

Upon hearing loud noises coming from the wall, a senior doctor assumed that Mira was hitting the surface with her hands. However, when he peered through the security monitor, he saw that Mira was repeatedly hitting her head against the wall, causing blood to flow all over her face.

Running quickly into Mira's room, they stopped her from trying to destroy her brain cells and were unable to tranquilize her once more, they had already done that before, repeating it may cause serious medical faults on her.

They also saw that she had severely torn her skin by yanking off her hair.

The doctors had no choice but to tranquillize her the second time, so that they could treat her wounds, if they didn't, she would not let them.

Antonio, hadn't gotten Mira's memory off him for the past one year and three months, he saw everything that had happened as his fault. Mira's death was the hardest blow he had ever gotten, if he had picked her call at that moment, non of this would have happened, now she is dead and it was all his fault.

He became the hardest man ever known, he was mean to everyone that came accross him especially women, he drank, did all sort of things to get her off his mind, one time he attempted suicide but all thanks to his brother he didn't. He couldn't bear the burden of losing the only woman that made him happy.

He changed a few months later when a beautiful lady came into his life, her name is Victoria, she was the prettiest woman he had ever set his eyes on since the death of his lovely Mira.

She was his comfort zone, she was also there to calm him down whenever he felt depressed, she made him forget everything about Mira.

Few months later, she got pregnant for him and bore him a son, but because of the guilt he had in his heart, he didn't want to betray Mira by getting married to another woman, so he kept her as a baby mama.

They lady grew impatient, but because of her love for him,she sticked to him, hoping that one day he would come to his senses and see her as a perfect wife.

Mira finally woke up after a few weeks, but this time she had changed so drastically, she was silent, not talking to anybody, all her drama's ended, she became a silent patient.

The doctors finally discovered that she had lost all her memories due to the way she banged her head on the wall that day.

Mira's case was from one problem to another, from depression to insanity, from insanity to loss of memory but the good thing was that she was now responding to her treatments.

She forgot everything about her past and began to call herself Alice Morgan, which was the first name that came into her mind.

“Good day Alice, how are you doing?” The good doctor asked but she didn't respond.

“So do you recall anything at all?” He asked again but didn't still get an answer, she just kept a dead pan look on her face, gazing at what wasn't present in the room.

“Well what about your kids?” He inquired, but still got the same results.

“Hmmmm.” He sighed, jotting down the result.

“Do you remember being called Mira?” He continued, and immediately, she tilted her head to his position. He had gotten his first trigger but it wasn't a good one.

“Hmmm, so you know Mira don't you?” He enquired.

“Why do you lock me up in the same room every single time? At least I am responding to my treatments, ain't I?” Alice said, that was the first time she spook to them, apart from the day she called herself Alice, she was really improving.

“Alice, you are right, you need to live a free life, see the outside world and more, maybe that's all you need to improve better on your mental state. I will make sure of it, this may expose you to more triggers.”

“But in the meantime, let's see how your health will improve until the weekend.” The doctor responded.

“I deserve to be free, I have been in here for too long, please, I need freedom from this hell hole you all call a hospital.” Mira complained.

“Alright Alice, I'll make sure that you are sent back to California by weekend.” Immediately he said California, Mira gets triggered again, the good doctor immediately jots down the second trigger.

“How about mamà and papà, I'm sure they will be thrilled to have you back.” The doctor continued. Mira feels a sharp pain in her head, the triggers were like torture to her, she scream loudly while yanking her hair.

“Stop it!!!” she screamed.

“I'm so sorry Mira, are you having a headache, well I promise you that all of this shows that you are responding to your treatment.”

“Now quick question before I leave, who is Antonio Earliton.”

Immediately the doctor asked about Antonio, Mira felt a really deep pain in her head which caused her to scream louder than ever, immediately, doctors ran into the scene to help calm her down.
