Chapter 055 Strange Outing 

WINTER

It was the crack of dawn when the door of my bedroom was kicked open with a bang. I jerked from my slumber and squinted my eyes in the darkness. "Who is that?"

"Wake up, you log!" Came a shout from the door.

I rubbed my eyes and turned on the light on the nightstand. The next second, I saw a tall figure and a set of terrifying eyes. It was Kai.

"Why are you here?" I asked, jumping out of bed with my hand clutching my chest.

Now, I had only a silky nightdress on. To say that I was scared and irritated by his barging in would be an understatement. I pulled half of the blanket to cover myself.

Kai walked into the bedroom slowly. "Don't flatter yourself, woman!"

"Why did you barge in here?" I asked again, glancing at Dawn who was stirring awake on the bed.

She had her own room. However, on most days, she insisted on sleeping by my side. I was fine with it since it enabled me to keep an eye on her even while sleeping.

Kai scoffed. "Get dressed. We are going out."

"Out?" I exclaime
