I fixed my clothes in the restroom mirror as best I could. My lips still felt swollen. My underwear was a lost cause, so I left it off and smoothed the skirt down, praying nothing showed. My legs were unsteady when I stepped back into the hallway. The taste of him was still in my mouth. The ache between my thighs was still there too, a low throb that refused to quiet.

I found the private dining room my aunt Sybil had texted me about. Soft lighting, one long table already set. Aunt Sybil sat at the far end in a dark dress, smiling the way she always did when important people were around. Beside her was her daughter—my cousin—scrolling on her phone with that usual bored look. And across from them, already seated, was the man from the elevator. The man from the restroom. Corren.

My stomach dropped so hard I almost turned around.

It was him. The same silver at the temples. The same broad shoulders under the dark suit. The same calm eyes that had watched me come on his tongue twenty minutes earlier. The man who had been sending money every month since I was eight. The man who paid for my school, my clothes, the roof over my head. My aunt’s husband. My uncle, Corren—and Vance's father.

He looked up when I walked in. Something flickered across his face—recognition, then a deeper, quieter shock—but he didn’t move. He just watched me the way he had in the restroom, patient and unreadable.

“There you are,” Aunt Sybil said, rising halfway. “Come and greet him properly. You’ve been raised better than this.”

I forced my feet forward. My voice came out thin.

“Good evening, sir.”

He nodded once. “Good evening.”

Aunt Sybil laughed, soft and apologetic. “Sorry, she doesn’t usually behave like this. Must be the traffic. This is my husband, Corren. You’ve spoken on the phone enough times, but it’s about time you met properly.”

I already knew his voice from the short calls over the years—How is school? Do you need anything?—but hearing it now, after what we had just done, made my skin prickle. I sat where Aunt Sybil indicated, directly beside him. The moment my hip brushed his under the table, heat flooded straight between my legs again. I pressed my thighs together hard and kept my face blank. He didn’t shift away. Neither did I.

The waiter poured water. Plates arrived. Aunt Sybil started talking about the drive, the weather, how long it had been since the last visit. I picked up my fork and moved food around without tasting any of it. Every time his knee touched mine under the white tablecloth, another pulse of wetness gathered. I could still feel the stretch of him inside me. I could still feel the way I’d come in his mouth. Controlling myself took everything I had.

Aunt Sybil set her glass down and looked at me with that soft, knowing smile.

“So,” she said, “how did it go with your boyfriend, Vance? You were so nervous this morning about the gift.”

I felt Corren go still beside me. I kept my eyes on my plate and forced a small smile.

“It went great,” I said. “Really great.”

Corren picked up his spoon then, slow and deliberate, and began to eat like nothing in the world was wrong. The quiet clink of silverware filled the space where my heartbeat should have been.

We finished the meal in careful pieces of conversation. My cousin barely spoke. Aunt Sybil filled every silence. I answered when spoken to and kept my hands in my lap so no one would see them shake. When the last plate was cleared, Aunt Sybil stood and opened her arms.

“Come here, my girl.”

I rose and let her pull me into a long hug. She kissed both my cheeks, then my forehead, the way she used to when I was small.

“I’m so proud of you,” she murmured. “You’re going to be fine with him. He’s always taken good care of you.”

I kissed her back—once, twice, more than I needed to—because some part of me was still the little girl who had nowhere else to go. When I stepped away, my cousin leaned in close, her mouth near my ear.

“Thank God you’re finally leaving,” she whispered. “At least I’ll be the one in charge now.”

The words slid off me like water. I didn’t answer. I just turned toward the door.

Outside, the night air was cool against my heated skin. Seven black SUVs sat in a neat line along the curb, engines already running, drivers standing at attention. Men in dark suits moved with quiet efficiency. One of them took the small suitcase I had packed that morning—everything I owned folded into a single bag—and placed it carefully in the back of the middle vehicle.

I stared at the line of cars and felt something shift in my chest. I had always known Corren had money. The monthly transfers, the school fees, the quiet way bills disappeared. But this was different. This was power parked in formation under streetlights.

Corren appeared at my side without a word and opened the rear door of the middle SUV. I climbed in. The leather was cool and soft. He followed, settling beside me. The door closed with a solid, expensive sound. The rest of the convoy began to move.

I shifted as far toward the window as the seat allowed and turned my face away, staring hard at the passing lights. I tried to keep every inch of space between us, tried not to feel the heat of his thigh so close to mine, tried not to remember the way he had felt inside me only an hour earlier. My body still hummed with it. My pulse still remembered.

I kept looking out the window and pretended the distance was enough.

  • Her First Time With Daddy   Chapter Twenty-Eight

Ava’s POVThat night I slept like a baby. For the first time in quite a while, my body gave in completely. The exhaustion from the day—the school, the cafeteria conversation, the drive home, the way Corren had carried me and taken me in his room—pulled me under as soon as my head touched the pillow. No restless turning. No half-awake thoughts circling the same conflicts. Just deep, unbroken sleep that lasted until the sound of my bedroom door opening cut through it.“Small madam, you are late to school.”The maid’s voice was urgent but carefully controlled. I sat up fast, heart already racing, and looked at the time on my phone. She was right. I had overslept by nearly forty minutes. The calm of the night before vanished in an instant.I threw the covers aside and moved quickly. In the bathroom I brushed my teeth in hurried strokes, splashed water on my face, and ran a comb through my hair with little concern for neatness. There was no time for the careful preparation of the previous

  • Her First Time With Daddy   Chapter Twenty-Seven

Ava’s POV“It was cool,” I said. The words came out softer than I intended. Corren’s eyes remained on me through the rearview mirror for a moment longer before he looked back at the road. He did not ask further questions. The silence that followed was heavy but not empty; it carried the weight of everything he had not yet decided to say. I sat with my bag on my lap, the navy dress still neat from the day, and tried not to think about the young man in the cafeteria or the way my pulse had reacted to ordinary attention. The closer the car drew to the estate, the more those thoughts were replaced by the familiar tension that always arrived when Corren’s presence filled the space around me.The gates opened. The car moved up the long drive and stopped at the front entrance. Corren stepped out first, then came around and opened my door himself. His hand settled at the small of my back as he guided me inside—not roughly, but with the same quiet ownership he always used. The staff remained i

  • Her First Time With Daddy   Chapter Twenty-Six

Ava’s POV“Yes,” I said. The word left my mouth before I could fully consider it. He set his tray down across from me and sat with easy confidence, as if the invitation had never been in doubt. Close up, the resemblance to the young man from the courtyard settled more firmly into place. The same clean features, the same polished ease. Whether he was exactly Sebastian Langford or only someone who moved in the same circles, he carried the same atmosphere of money that never had to introduce itself.“I’m Ava,” I said, because silence felt more dangerous than politeness.“I know.” He smiled slightly. “You introduced yourself in class. I’m the one who didn’t.” He offered his name a moment later—clear, unhurried—and then asked what had brought me to the program mid-term. I gave the simplest version I could manage: a change in living situation, a decision to return to classes. He listened without interrupting, eyes steady on my face in a way that made my pulse jump once before I controlled i

  • Her First Time With Daddy   Chapter Twenty-Five

Ava’s POVI stood still for a moment after the car pulled away and simply looked at the school. It was no ordinary school. The main building rose in clean lines of glass and pale stone, the kind of architecture that belonged more to a private corporate campus than a place of classrooms. Wide steps led up to a set of heavy glass doors. Perfectly maintained lawns stretched on either side, and a row of expensive cars sat in the student parking area beyond the main walkway. Even the air felt different—quiet, polished, and carefully controlled. As I walked toward the entrance I began to hear the conversations around me. Two girls near the steps were comparing summer trips—one to the Amalfi Coast, the other to a private island I had only ever seen in magazines. A boy in a tailored jacket laughed about his father’s new jet and the crew that came with it. Someone else mentioned a charity gala where the cheapest table cost more than most people’s monthly rent. The comments were casual, almost

  • Her First Time With Daddy   Chapter Twenty-Four

Ava’s POVI went back inside my room with the coffee still warm in my hands and the maid’s frightened voice still clear in my ears. The realization from the kitchen followed me like a second shadow. Corren did not need to be standing in the doorway to enforce his rules. The entire household already moved according to them. Even the simple act of making coffee before sunrise had been enough to put someone else’s job at risk. I set the cup down on the table by the window and stood there for a moment longer, looking out at the gardens without really seeing them. The power he held was no longer abstract. It was in the walls, in the staff, in the quiet fear that lived under every polite interaction.I pushed the thought aside as best I could and walked into the bathroom. The water ran hot. I stepped under the spray and let it pour over my shoulders and down my back, hoping it would loosen the tight feeling in my chest. It only partially worked. My mind kept moving between the day ahead and

  • Her First Time With Daddy   Chapter Twenty-Three

Ava’s POVI went inside my room not happy that we didn’t say anything and also happy that I am resuming school tomorrow. The door closed behind me with a soft click that felt louder than it should have. I stood still for a moment in the middle of the large bedroom, the silence of the west wing settling around me again. Dinner had ended without a single real exchange. Corren had eaten, stood, and left. No glance that lasted longer than a second. No instruction beyond the final one about school. The distance he had placed between us sat in my chest like something solid. I disliked it more than I wanted to admit. At the same time, tomorrow was real. School. A driver. A schedule that would take me outside these walls for the first time since I had arrived. The thought sent a thin current of nervous energy through me. I didn’t know how the school would be in this place—whether the other students would look at me and see someone ordinary or someone who arrived each morning from a private es
