Chapter 5
Sienna POV
I lost my balance, staggering backward, but before I could fall, my father caught me.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
I swallowed hard, unable to speak. Sweat was already forming on my forehead.
I looked up at him. His face was blank, like he had never seen me before.
He walked closer to us and smiled at my father.
"Mr. Williams, welcome," he said, then glanced at me. My heart jumped violently. "Is this your daughter?" he asked.
He reached out his hand to me with a polite smile. "Nice meeting you."
I took his hand with my trembling fingers, trying to act normal. "Nice meeting you, sir," I replied quickly, pulling my hand back as fast as I could.
"That's your fiancé. I hope your dad has told you about it?" His deep, sexy voice rolled out again.
"What's your name?" he asked, but I was no longer in the room. My brain was spinning in the dizzy heat of his presence.
"Sienna," my dad answered for me, snapping me back into reality.
I held my breath, avoiding Lorenzo’s eyes, though I could feel them burning into mine.
"Sienna Williams," I said, forcing the words out as I looked at my so-called husband-to-be.
"I'm Noah Romano," the guy beside me said with a wide grin, looking like he was thrilled to be getting married.
I managed a stiff, awkward smile.
Then the man, looked at me. "I'm Lorenzo. But they call me Don."
I nodded quickly, too stunned to breathe. Did he really not recognize me?
Why do I feel like he should?
Why does it sting that he doesn’t?
“Sienna,” my father's voice pulled me back again. “Why are you so distracted? What are you thinking?” he hissed quietly.
"Nothing," I smiled stiffly.
I glanced at Lorenzo again. Our eyes locked. I nearly sank into the floor.
“Noah, take your fiancée around the house and show her around. I need to speak with Mr. Williams,” Lorenzo said and walked away with my father. Something twisted inside me.
He doesn’t remember? Really?
“Sienna, let’s go,” Noah’s voice called.
I turned to him and gave a small nod, following behind.
"This is the center room," he said as we stepped into a space filled with computers and glowing screens. People sat everywhere, eyes locked on their stations.
“I heard you're a computer guru, so I thought you’d like to see this first,” he added.
"Huh? How do you know I know about computers?" I asked.
“Your dad told me,” he replied, still not looking at me.
Well, he’s not wrong. I was a hacker. Studied computer science. Learned a lot—more than enough.
“Guys!” he shouted suddenly. “This is my wife!”
Everyone turned, voices rising in playful cheers. I felt a rush of heat crawl up my neck but gave a nervous, fake smile anyway.
“Kai,” Noah called, and a guy with chiseled features looked up from a corner surrounded by four screens.
“Here’s your rival,” Noah grinned at him.
“I’m not that good,” I said quickly, brushing it off and stepping out of the room. I exhaled sharply the second I left.
What kind of husband am I getting stuck with?
Am I really a bride—or just a pawn in their game?
The moment my dad told me I was marrying his boss’s son, I knew there had to be a reason. A deal. A move.
And now here it is.
I scoffed under my breath at the thought.
Then—Lorenzo flashed in my mind. I forced the image away.
I shouldn’t be thinking about my father-in-law.
“Sienna,” Noah called again. “Let’s go to the training center.”
“No. Some other day,” I replied quickly. “I’ve seen enough.”
With that, I turned and headed for the sitting room—and stopped short. My dad and Lorenzo were already there. My stomach dropped. I wanted to turn around, but they’d already seen me.
"Come sit down, Sienna," Lorenzo said.
My heart slammed inside my chest. The way he said my name—Sienna—like it rolled off his tongue naturally.
I pulled myself together and sat. Noah joined me, sitting close.
“So, your wedding will take place next week,” my father said casually.
"What!" I gasped, eyes wide. “Isn’t that too early?”
He could be calculating, but this? I didn’t expect him to throw me into marriage so fast.
“What? Do you have a problem with that?” Lorenzo asked smoothly, calm but cold.
His voice sent a full-body shiver racing through me. My lips parted, but no words came.
Why does he sound so damn sexy when he speaks?
“You okay?” Noah nudged me.
“Yes... I’m okay,” I stammered.
“No, you’re not. You’re sweating.” He reached out like he was going to touch my forehead.
I jerked back instantly. “I’m fine, please,” I snapped.
His hand dropped, and silence settled. I glanced at Lorenzo. He was still watching me.
Does he really not remember me?
Or is he pretending?
But why would he pretend?
I met my father's eyes. He was glaring at me. I knew I’d messed up by pushing Noah’s hand away.
Then Lorenzo stood and walked toward me. My pulse thundered in my ears.
“Do you have a fever?” he asked, placing his hand gently on my forehead.
My pussy clenched tight at the feel of his hand on me.
Chapter 95Noah’s POV“Can you just let me be?” I snapped at Niko, who wouldn’t stop disturbing me about Kai. I don’t even want to think about him at all.Why the hell did I have to do that? Why the hell did I have to lie about being drunk?Yes, I was drunk, but I knew exactly what I was doing and what was going on around me. I remember the way I asked Kai to kiss me and fuck me. I was in my right state of mind, and that truth is eating me alive. This isn’t making sense. Why?Ever since then, I’ve been trying to stay away from him as much as possible. It must not happen again. There is no way I will let that happen again.I glanced around the room we would be staying in for a while, and my eyes went straight to Kai’s bed—it was empty. I haven’t let him explain or say a single word to me.He tried to start conversations, but I always shut him down by walking away. Yes. That’s the best thing to do.“Noah?” Lian called, jolting me out of my thoughts. I turned to him with a forced smile o
Chapter 94AUTHOR'S POV“What!” Ryder’s eyes widened, staring at the man in front of him like he had just said the most unbelievable thing. His chest felt heavy, and his fingers curled unconsciously against his sides.“Why do you look so shocked? Remember he wanted to hand you over to some people just some hours ago,” the man said again. Ryder swallowed hard, the sound loud in his own ears, before parting his lips.“It’s—”“Uh uh,” the man stopped him.“It’s not like I can’t kill him myself. Since he worked with my rivals, he has also become my enemy. If you think you can’t do it, then go. I don’t have to work with you.” He started walking out of the room. His footsteps echoed, each one pulling him closer to the door. He had almost reached the entrance when Ryder’s voice stopped him.“I will do it,” Ryder said, his voice bold but his chest tightening.A smirk appeared instantly on the man’s face. He turned back and walked toward him until he was standing right in front of him.“That’s
Chapter 93Sienna’s POVLorenzo stepped out from the car with Regina by his side. I thought he said we should go ahead? I stared at him as he walked closer to me, and I felt some movement beside me too. I glanced over my shoulder and saw Lina and Niko already standing. My eyes flicked to Regina, and something just snapped inside me by looking at her. Must she come here too?“Dad?” Noah said the moment he got out of the car. “I thought you said you would meet us?” he asked again, his eyes narrowing slightly.Lorenzo's face met with mine, and he quickly averted his gaze to somewhere else.“Perfect, you all look different,” he said, standing there for a moment. “We have to get this done in less than a week. If it happens that we don't see him before then, we’ll go with another plan. Remember, you guys are working from here,” he added firmly.“Yes, sir!” everyone answered in unison.“Good. Now, let’s go in there and drag Ryder out,” he said and started walking away with Regina, who didn’
Chapter 92Sienna’s POVWe entered Lorenzo’s office, and my eyes immediately landed on him. He was pinning a man to the wall with so much force that I could hear the sharp thud of his back hitting it. The man didn’t even struggle.“Son?” the man said, his voice hoarse, as his eyes flicked to Noah’s face. Then his gaze moved back to Lorenzo. A strange silence hovered in the air, thick and heavy.“Is he your son?” he asked again, and I could see the tension flare in Lorenzo’s body as he turned his glare on the man.My eyes shifted quickly to the clock on the wall. My chest tightened a bit. We’re getting late.We came to get Lorenzo’s approval before heading to the school, since today was the day we were assigned to go.The man’s eyes met mine, locking onto me in a way that made my stomach turn. His stare wasn’t ordinary, it was uncomfortable, intense, and made my body shift back slightly on instinct. My face twisted, feeling heat crawl up my neck. Why is he looking at me like that?“Get
Chapter 91The Next DayAuthor’s POVLian entered the hospital, rushing into the building where nurses and doctors moved around in panic. Everywhere was chaotic, but he managed to push through to the receptionist desk.“Please, where’s the patient in ward 306?” he asked, his voice sounding urgent and shaky. The nurse quickly tapped on her system, then raised her eyes.“Oh, you're Mister Lian?” the nurse asked, and Lian nodded fast.“Seems your sister has entered the surgery center,” the nurse said again, and before she could say another word, Lian already dashed off.“You cannot go in!” the nurse shouted after him, but he was already gone.He reached the entrance of the surgery lab, but some doctors were coming out at that moment and immediately blocked his path.“You cannot go in,” one of them said, trying to hold Lian back, but he was already sweating all over.“How is she doing?” Lian asked, his voice coming out low and restless. His eyes kept darting to the entrance. Just then, th
Chapter 90Kai's POVI swallowed hard, looking directly into his face. My chest was rising faster than normal. His eyes were half open, his lips slightly parted. Is it because he is drunk? My head was screaming for me to pull away before I do something I can’t take back.I wanted to move, to create space, but before I could finish speaking, his hand gripped my neck and pushed my face to his. His lips pressed against mine hard, warm, and soft.My stomach twisted violently. My whole body went hot instantly. If someone had told me before that I would ever kiss the lips of Noah, I would have laughed in their face. But right now? I was kissing him, and I didn’t want to stop.I opened my mouth without thinking, my tongue sliding into his. The taste of him hit me, a mix of alcohol and something that was just Noah. My tongue circled his, pressing harder. I sucked on his lips, biting the bottom one, then going back to sucking again. Every sound he made went straight to my cock.It felt too dam
