"kneel,"

His cold voice thundered in the quiet room.

I shuddered as I quietly obeyed, gritting my teeth as I fought back the tears from falling down my eyes.

'Oh Derrick, you shouldn't make her watch' Amanda said in her sweet coquettish voice dripping in sarcasm as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

She is your Luna remember?

She added giggling slightly.

Derrick's eyes darkened as he stared at me, his gaze filled with disdain.

He curled the corners of his lips up.

Luna?

He said, the words sounding foreign and bitter in his mouth.

He lifted my chin up with his feet. My gaze landed on his cold and stoic face.

"You are not fit," He said, the words like daggers piercing in my heart.

"You don't want her to think I am a home wrecker who stole you from her," She said, pressing her chest closer to his shoulder.

"Why don't we ask her?" Derrick says turning to face me.

I opened my mouth to speak but no words came out.

Pathetic!

I have been mated to Alpha Derrick of moonlight pack for years. Despite granted the title of Luna, he has never touched me.

Just because I looked like his first love who died years ago from rogue attacks. Even though this was years before I was mated to him. He had made it his mission to make my life a living hell.

I was the cheap replacement fate gave him to make up for his loss.

All my effort to make him love me, was seen as me being desperate. Nothing like his pure first love. My attempt made him hate me even more.

For years he had forced me to watched him, being intimate with other women. Belittling me, that even the title Luna feels like a joke.

Just 2 more days I said to myself.

2 more days and I would disappear from his life.

The slippery sound of kissing interrupted my thoughts.

'Where is the condom?"

He commanded still entangled with her.

I slowly got up, handing him the small box I was holding.

He took it forcefully, shoving me back.

The force caught me off guard, I stumbled backwards hitting my head on shelf.

I felt blood trickle down from the back of my head.

The sharp pain made me dizzy. I held on to the wall to stabilise myself.

But the two people in front of me continued their business. Amanda's moan grew louder as she shot me a provocative glance.

Even though I have watched this happened for years, I still hadn't grown numb to it. My heart still ached at the inhumane torture.

After he was done, Amanda collapsed on the bed from exhaustion.

Derrick threw the used condoms on my face.

'Clean up,' he said over his shoulder as he carried her to the bathroom.

I quickly changed the sheets and dispose the condoms before quickly slipping out into my own chambers.

There, my one maid was waiting.

"Miss Raven," She whispered softly looking at my ashen face.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I am fine," I said casually cutting her off.

She eyed me suspiciously, but nodded in agreement.

How is what I asked you to do?

I asked, laying on the bed with my eyes closed.

Her eyes brightened, "I have done my research, on the three days from now there will be a banquet. And Alpha Derrick and everyone would surely be busy. You can use the chance to escape."

A bitter smile tugged at my lips, at that event, Derrick is supposed to bring his Luna, but apparently I am not worthy enough to attend.

But this will give me chance to leave, a blessing in disguise.

"Good," I said standibg up.

"Blood... My lady you are bleeding!"

Zara exclaimed, her eyes widening.

Oh, I almost forgot about the injury on my head.

Zara dash out and soon returned with a first aid kit to treat my injury.

"You think my life is miserable too right?" I asked catching her off-guard.

She stammered trying to find the right word.

"I understand, but this chapter of me is coming to an end soon," I said with determination.

The next morning, I went to the pack hospital for proper treatment to avoid infection.

I was about to leave when I heard a small murmur,

"Did you hear, our Alpha challenge Alpha Damien of the Blood moon pack."

"Really? Why would he do that. I heard that Alpha Damien is cold and ruthless, and not only that he has the power to back it."

"I heard the blood moon pack are growing increasingly arrogant. They are demanding the border as part of their land.

Hearing the mention of the border, my ears perked, listening intently. The border was my escape route.

"That is our main connection to other lands, if it is taken, we would need to go through the blood moon pack. What if they demand hefty fine before access,"

"Oh no, this is bad. This is really bad. I hope our Alpha wins. He is not one to be truffled with either."

After hearing enough, I slipped out from the chattering ladies my heart racing.

I rushed back home. In my hurry, I slammed into the person in front of me.

"Sorry, I am really sorry," I apologized breathlessly before looking up.

My gaze froze. Amanda!

Standing only a few feet away was Derrick. His cold eyes fixed on us, gloomy and dangerous.

Her lips curled into a smirk for a split second as if fate had just handed her the perfect opportunity to humiliate me.

My heart drop to my stomach.

I knew this wouldn’t end well.
