Chapter Fifty Seven

While they were out having fun, some people were having a nightmare. Cindy had just woken up when she got a call from Unknown. "Hope you are not calling to give me useless information again? It's too early to spoil my mood.!" She said immediately she picked up the call.

"You will get this news sooner or later. So I should tell you now. Your fiancee is making things official between his wife and child." Unknown said.

"I don't understand what you are trying to say. Is he having a press conference?" Cindy asked.

"No, that would have been better sef. He and his wife and child just left the house and they are putting on matching outfits.! Do you know what that means?" Unknown said.

"That means he is making an appearance. When they go out and people see them, people will start to talk. The news will spread and I will be laughed at.!" Cindy said.

"You are surprisingly sharp today. What do you plan to do about that?" Unknown asked.

"What can I do? I will only become a laughing stock and at the same time, lose my man.!" Cindy said.

"If I were you, I know what to do. You claim to be a woman and you don't even know how to fight for what you want. What kind of a person are you sef? Nothing wey you sabi do..." Unknown complained.

"Because you are calling me doesn't give you the right to insult me.! That you help me out does not make us equal. You are just a poor thing who will always be under me.!" Cindy cursed. "What do you think I should do?" She asked after venting.

"It's simple but, you have to pay. You know how we do things na?" Unknown said.

"How much are we talking about?" Cindy asked.

"500k. 500 thousand nairas!" Unknown said.

"What!! That's much... Why should I pay you so much? Your ideas have never yielded fruits so, what's the essence of paying you this much?" Cindy asked.

"That's because you don't do them well. If you had done them well then, Your man would have been in your arms now and not going out with another woman who has a child for him." Unknown said.

"Fine... Where should I send the money into?" Cindy asked.

"To the other account. Once it's done, I will tell you the things you need to know." Unknown said.

After a few minutes, "done. So, what is your idea?" Cindy said impatiently.

"Calm down madam!! I have to be sure you have sent it." Unknown said. "Oh, I have seen it. Sure madam!!! You too sure!!" She praised after getting the money.

"That's enough please, just go straight to the point and stop trying to prolong this issue. I am tired of being cast aside." Cindy said.

"Okay, here is what you will do... I heard The child will start school on Monday." Unknown said.

"What has that got to do with what you want to tell me?" Cindy asked because she didn't understand what that has to do with what they were discussing.

"I know you will not understand. If you want to get rid of a tree, you need to destroy its root. The child is the root of that marriage so, start From the child.!" Unknown said.

"That's right but, you can't be suggesting that I kill the child. Right?" Cindy asked.

"Look, if you want something then, you need to do everything possible to get that thing. If the child Is out of the way then, the marriage will start to crumble. Think about it." Unknown persuaded.

"I can't kill the child. The only person I have a problem with is that stupid wife. I need her out of the way as soon as possible. As for the child, I don't like her but, I can't kill her or harm her." Cindy said.

"This Is the only way to shake them. Think of it in this way. Once something happens to the child, Rose will blame Christopher. She will blame him for what happened to her child and leave. That way, you get rid of two obstacles. Once she leaves. You take care of her as well!." Unknown said.

"That's right but, harming the child is my problem. I can't even begin to imagine myself doing that!" Cindy said.

"This is the only way and if you refuse to do it, you won't have any other way. I know you don't really love Mr. Christopher. His wealth is what you are after. Do you think you will ever have that wealth if the child is alive?" Unknown asked.

"That's true but..."

"There is no but... That's the only way out! If you don't do it now then there Is nothing I or anybody can do to help you." Unknown said with finality.

"Okay, but instead of killing the child can't we just kidnap her and take her to a very local village and dump her? That way she would not die and she would not be in my way." Cindy said.

"If that's what you want but, what if she comes back one day? What if when she finds her way home when she is old enough?" Unknown asked.

"I will know what to do when that time comes but for now, we will not kill her. So, how do we go about that?" Cindy asked.

"It's simply. Pay some thugs and they will do the job!" Unknown said.

"Do you know anyone we can call? I will pay any amount but, it has to be done with perfection. I don't want mistakes!" Cindy said.

"I know of someone but, before I connect the two of you, I need another money. You have to pay me because that's another thing entirely and it's very dangerous." Unknown said.

"Ok. How much are we talking about? What if I pay abs the person doesn't do the job well?" Cindy asked.

"Just trust me!! He is the best at those kinds of things. As long as you pay well, he will deliver well." Unknown said confidently.

"Okay, how much are we talking about?" Cindy asked.

"1.5million naira!!" Unknown stated.

"For what!? 1.5million naira for what? Will I still pay the person you want to connect me with?" Cindy exclaimed.

"Why are you shouting!? If you can't pay then forget it. Go and look for someone yourself. I am only trying to help you here. That's my own payment. When you have talked to the person, you will pay them." Unknown said.

"No, no, no. That is too much. I can't pay you such a ridiculous amount for nothing! It's not like I won't pay another money after this. No. I can't pay that amount!" Cindy said.

"Okay. That means you don't need my help. Call me when you are ready!!" Unknown said and hung up the call before Cindy could reply.

"What nonsense! How do I pay such a ridiculous amount? Am I a money-making machine?" Cindy said to herself angrily.

After the call, she got up and went to clean up. When she got back, she took her phone to surf the internet as usual, while she was going through her I*******m and checking the comments that her fans have added to her most recent picture and was happily reading the praises when a fan shared a link under her picture. With a comment that said, "what's going on?" Out of curiosity, she clicked on the link and it took her to a blog with a picture of Christopher, Rose, and Princess walking into the lekki conservative center.

"No, this can't be happening! How can Christopher do this to me?" She asked herself.

She was still going through what was written underneath when another fan tagged her in a post. Cindy almost got a heart attack when she saw the picture. This time around, it was a picture of Rose sitting on Christopher while he was on the floor and Princess was filming them. In this picture, Ine could see what was written on Rose's clothes and Princess's clothe. Cindy almost got a heart attack When she saw that. Fans started flooding her I*******m with questions. It didn't take long for some people to start pointing fingers.

Immediately that comment was posted, it received hundreds of replies. Cindy became so furious she didn't know what to do. "This is the end for Rose, I will get you out of the way even if it's the last thing I will do on this earth!!" She vowed.
