Chapter Hundred

Two months later...

"Sis!!!"

"Gosh!! Not again! Must he always come here??'' Christopher groaned. Earning a laugh from Rose. "Don't laugh at me. He is so lucky he is your brother." He added as Daniel came into view.

"What's up, sis, and brother-in-law..." Daniel greeted and sat opposite Rose and Christopher.

"What are you doing here? Don't you have a house? You come here almost every day." Christopher sighed deeply before saying.

"I came here to see my sister, and of course my cute niece. Do you have a problem with that?" Daniel rolled his eyes and said.

"Go and get your own wife. Leave my wife alone. You come here every time and ruin our time alone. Stop it!" Christopher threw him a look and said.

"Say whatever you want. I don't care." Daniel said and crossed his arms over his chest.

"Get..."

"You both behave like babies all the time." Rose finally cut in with a laugh. "Bro, do you find joy in pissing my husband off?" She asked Daniel who had a smug smile on his face.

"You should be asking your husband that question. He doesn't even wish to see me here. Is that good?" Daniel asked.

"You come here almost every day. It's like you do it to make him angry." Rose said with a smile.

"Fine... It's okay. I came here today for a couple of reasons." Daniel replied. His expression turned serious. "Dad's company. You also have a share in it. So, we need you to be there when we make decisions."

"I don't want any part of that money. Cindy needs it more. You both can do whatever you like. Besides, I have more than enough already." Rose immediately rejected him.

"Okay. I knew you would say that but, I and Cindy already decided. We put 30 percent of all his assets into your name." Daniel said with a lazy smile.

Rose was about to say something else when Christopher held onto her hand and stopped her. "Take it. It's your right. Besides, your siblings decided you should have it. Don't reject it."

"But..."

"No buts sis. There is more than enough for all of us. The other reason why I am here is to also..." He was saying but stopped when Blessing passed by.

Rose and Christopher followed his line of sight and saw that he was staring at Blessing. After the incident with the poisoning, they had brought Blessing back. She now stays with them and doesn't go like before again. Christopher and Rose looked at each other and smiled. "Why is it that you all just want to take the people around me away?" Rose asked with a shake of her head.

Uzo was around Ada all day and it seems like those two were already hitting it off. Now, her brother is now interested in Blessing. "Sis, I'll be right back. We can discuss everything else later. Okay?" Daniel said and rushed after Blessing.

Rose and Christopher were left alone again and Rose couldn't help but smile. Things are better now. She had made peace with her mother even tho they weren't as close as they were supposed to be. Cindy had worked on herself tirelessly and she even signed an advertisement contract that demands both she and Princess to work together.

Roseleanedd into Christopher's arms and whispered. "I feel like all of these are a dream. I hope I don't wake up and realise that all of these is a dream."

"This is the life that you deserve my love. A life filled with happiness and surrounded by people who love you. " Christopher said and placed a kiss on her forehead.

Eight months later...

It's Christmas and everybody is gathered on an island where Christopher took them for the holidays. Christopher sat with Uzo and Daniel while the women were sitting together and discussing.

Rose was heavily pregnant. She found out about her pregnancy when it was already two months old. Now, she is expected to give birth at any moment. Rose's mother and Mrs. Rita had taken it upon themselves to take care of her diet and that had never slacked for a moment. Blessing and Daniel had fixed a date for their wedding and it's on Rose's birthday. They believed that by then, she would have given birth and be able to attend.

"What's wrong with you?" Rose's mother asked Rose when she saw her acting like she was in pain.

"I don't know but... Ahh!!!" She screamed in pain.

"It's the baby. The baby is about to be born." Mrs. Rita said. "Come..."

She didn't get to finish when Christopher rushed to them and carried Rose off the ground. "Get the car and call the hospital. Tell them to get ready." He said and Uzo and Daniel got to work.

"Two hours later....

They had all been waiting outside the labour room for more than an hour and still the doctors were not coming out. Christopher stood up all of a sudden and walked towards the tightly closed door and was about to kick it open when the door opened. The attending doctor walked out with a smile and two nurses followed behind. Every other person rushed to the doctor. "How is my wife? Is she okay?" Christopher asked.

"The mother and babies are fine. "

"Where is she?" Christopher asked but saw Rose being pushed out. She was awake and smiling when she saw Christophe and everybody who was waiting. "My love... Are you okay?... Did it hurt?" Christopher rushed to her and held her hand making the caregivers who were pushing her bed to stop.

"Am fine. I have never felt much better." Rose answered with a smile with tears running down her face.

"Why are you crying?" Christopher asje

worriedly and cleaned the years off her face with his hands.

"Have you seen our babies?"

"The baby can wait... I need to make sure you're fine. I can see the baby later."

"I didn't say,y baby. I said, babies... Go and take a look" Rose said with a smile and tried to push him towards the nurses who had come out with the doctor. The others stood behind him as they watched with smiles on their faces.

Christopher was frozen to the spot. They had not checked what gender the baby was. They wanted it to be a surprise. "You have given birth to twins?" Christopher asked with shock.

"Yes. Twins." She replied.

Mrs. Rita walked forward while holding onto a baby and Rose's mother was holding the other. "A boy, and a girl." She added.

"I am finally a big sister," Princess said happily.
