Chapter Fifty Eight

Mr. Allen was also in a very crazy mood when the picture Of Christopher and his family started spreading. It was a big slap to his face because he was the one who appeared in a press conference with Cindy and announced that they were engaged. The pictures kept trending everywhere. I*******m, F******k, and even T*****r. Being a public figure, it was natural that he had social media accounts and he operated them himself.

Some of his business associates even called him to ask and he had to ignore their calls because he had nothing to say. He had planned to go and meet Stone to discuss what to do and that only gave him more reason to neet with Stone. They planned to meet each other at Oshodi and from Lekki to Oshodi would take hours so, he left his house in a low-key manner. He took his cheapest car and dressed in a way that it would be hard to recognize him. He got to their meeting point at 6 p.m. and Stone was already waiting for him.

"Na wa ooo, this one wey you come find me my yourself mean say na important matter! Make we enter my Kabba!!" Stone spoke in pidgin and led him into his hideout.

"I don't have all day Stone, what I came for is very important and needs to be carried out as fast as possible." Mr. Allen said as they walked together.

"No wahala, I have guessed as much from the way you sounded and for the fact that you contacted me after so many years. Let's talk in the inner rooms. As the saying goes, walls have ears!" Stone said and smiled crookedly.

They didn't say anything till they got into Stone's office. Where he handles private matters. Stone can be considered one of the richest thugs. He works for the rich alone and has the minions that does the smaller jobs for him. "So, I am listening to you. Before then would you like to have a drink?" Stone said when they closed the door behind them.

"No, I don't want anything. What i want now is for you to sit so that we can talk! I don't have all day to waste!" Mr. Allen said.

"Okay, talk. I am all ears... What's the deal?" Stone inquired.

"It's my son! I want him and his family out of the way." Mr. Allen directly went to the point.

"Your son?!" Stone asked.

"Yes, my son and his family. I want him out of the way. I can't let anything get in the way of my wealth. Not even my son!" Mr. Allen said.

"But, if you get rid of your son and you die, who will you give everything to?" Stone asked.

"That's not tour business. Allow me to worry about that! Your business Is to do what I am paying you to do. Can you do it or not?" Mr. Allen said angrily.

"Once there is money, there is nothing Stone cannot do..." He answerd.

"Good, i won't negotiate pricee with you. If you are able to accomplish this then, I will surprise you. I will give you two million now and if you do what I have asked then, I will give you another fifteen million." Mr. Allen said.

"Wow!! That's why I like big men!! Money no be problem. Don't worry, I will not disappoint you. I will do a better job than the last time and you will be surprised." Stone promised with a happy smile. Killing is noting to him. He can even kill his mother if money is involved.

"That's what I like to hear. I brought your money in cash and it's in the car, i won't him and his family out of existence." Mr. Allen said and stood up.

"I no go disaapiont. Just trust me. Money na my God. Once money is involved, I can even kill myself and then go to hell fire!" Stone said.

"Good! I will await result in a few days!" Christopher's father said as they both walked out. They got to his car and he gave Stone the briefcase containing the money. "Don't disappoint me stone!" He said and drove off.

"Rich people and money. If he kill him pikin finish who go inherit property? Man wet no get money like me before... That's why our elders talk say, money is the root of all evil.!!" Stone said as he watched him drive away.

Christopher and his family had the best time of their life. When they started driving home, it was already 9pm. By the time they got home Princess had already fallen asleep at the back seat of the car. When they got home, Christioher carried Princess while Rose carried the take away that was given to Princess from the Lekki conservative center.

"Welcome sir!" Some of the guards on duty greeted.

When they opened the front door, Mrs. Rita was waiting up for them. "Welcome home!" She said and walked to them.

"Why are you still up? I thought I asked you not to wait up for us?" Christopher asked.

"I was worried so, I couldn't sleep. How was your outing?" Mrs Rita asked.

"It was great!! We had so much funn!!" Rose answered.

"I can see that you guys had fun. Its written on your faces!" Mrs. Rita said with a smile on her face. She was so worried about them throughout the day due to the threat that Mr. Allen and Cindy had been giving. She could't rest her mind especially when Blessing showed her pictures of Christopher and Rose playing while Princess was recording a video of them.

"Let me put Princess to bed. I'll be back!" Christopher said and wanted to walk away.

"Let me do it, let me out her to bed." Mrs. Rita said and stopped him.

"No, I'll put her to bed. She Is already askeep so, I'll just take off her shoes and lay her down!." Christopher answered her.

"You should be tired. Just let me put her to bed. You can come and check on her after you get changed." Mrs. Rita said and made to take Princess from him.

"Allow Mrs. Rita put her to bed. You also need to freshen up and you must be tired. I am also sure that she missed Princess that's why she was waiting up for us." Rose said.

"Fine..." Christopher said grudgingly. "I wonder if this is how we will be fighting every night." He added as he handed Iver Princess to Mrs. Rita.

"Don't worry about that. Its just because she is asleep. If she wasn't sleeping she would have chosen you over me.!" Mrs. Rita added as she collected Princess.

"Go ahead, I will meet you in the room. I need to keep this things in the fridge so it doesn'tt get spoiled before tomorrow." Rose said to Christopher raising the pack she was holding.

"You brought something home?" Mrs. Rita asked.

"It was a gift given to Princess. Good night Mrs. Rita," Rose said and walked in the direction of the kitchen.

Christopher was about to follow her but Mrs. Rita stopped him. "She asked you to go ahead and now you want to follow her? Go ahead and wait for her. She won't run away..."

"I am not going after her. I just want to get water!" Christopher lied.

"I know, have the water in your room finished?" Mrs. Rita asked. "Just go and wait for her. She is not running away." She added and climbed the stairs.
