Chapter Ninety Nine

After two days, Rose was discharged from the hospital. During that period, Princess did not attend school. Christopher wanted to settle things fully before allowing her out of his sight. With the help of Rose's brother, they were able to find out a lot of shady things that Cindy's father had been involved in. Rose's father happens to be none other than Mr. Coker. Cindy's father. After thorough investigations, it was found out to be true. They managed to conduct a secret DNA test and it was found out to be true.

Christopher and Rose discussed at length and decided it's high time their fathers pay for all their crimes. Christopher took it upon himself to unite Rose and her mother. Her brother was a constant headache to him. They would always argue over anything that had to do with Rose. Uzo was always enjoying their fights. He had seen someone who would stand up to Christopher without backing down and that was something he would always laugh about.

After spending two weeks gathering all the evidence that they needed, Christopher used his security agency to send the information to the police. He wanted to do things the right way. When things started to get rough, Cindy's father started to fight back. He placed a call to Stone without knowing that Christopher's people had him. Their call was recorded and sent to the police as well. He was eventually caught but, he tried to buy his way out. At that time, Christopher had no choice but to release some information to the public. At that time, he had no way to get out of it anymore. Stone and his people were also sent to the police along with their confessions. Ene was never heard of again. When they had all been arrested and were awaiting trial, Cindy came to their house.

When she got there, they were all in the sitting room. The guards informed Rose and they were told to let her in. When she entered. She wasn't her usual cocky and arrogant self. She looked at Rose who was sitting beside Christopher and then at Christopher. She had found out that her mother had been killed a long time ago and that's why her father had never tolerated it when she asked about her mother. She went to see him and he said she was useless that's why he had a backup which is Ene. Ene was also his daughter from another woman.

"I know you didn't come all the way here to stare at us. What do you want!?" Rose asked her when she saw that Cindy wasn't saying anything.

"I came here to apologize for everything that I have done. I know that I was stupid and I feel like it right now. I came here to let you know that you would never see me again and I am sorry..." Cindy said.

"It's ok... It's all in the past." Rose answered. Finding out that they are sisters had changed her attitude. She had grown up without a family and now, she has a family of her own. A mother, a brother, and stepsisters. Looking at Cindy at that moment, she only looked at her as a little girl that has been misled all her life. She wanted to embrace her as a sister but she was hesitating to.

"Okay, thank you... I'll take my leave now and I promise that you will never see me again..." She said and turned to walk out.

"Wait!!!" Daniel who had been talking to Princess called out to her when she turned to go. Cindy stopped and turned to him. Looking closely at them, one could see the resemblance. Rose looked more like her mother while Daniel looked like their father. "Are you just going to leave without saying hi to your big brother!?" He asked and walked to Cindy.

"Big brother!?" Cindy asked.

"Yes, big brother. I am your big brother and Rose is your big sister. Don't you know!? Didn't your father who is also our father tell you that!?" Daniel asked.

Cindy just looked at him blankly. Her father didn't say anything of such to her. When Rose saw that her brother was making the move, she stood up and walked to Cindy. "He is right. We are siblings. He is my twin and that's our mother and we have the same father." She said.

"How many unknown siblings do I have?" Cindy asked with tears pooling in her eyes. "He... He didn't tell me anything when... When I went to see him. He... He... He only told me about that one that was always fooling me and taking money from me... He... What..." She said with tears running down her cheeks. She was already crying pitifully.

Rose couldn't watch for long so she pulled her into a hug and comforted her. When Cindy had managed to calm down, Rose said to her. "You are not the only one who was not wanted. I was rejected even before I was born. It's ok."

"Yes, it's ok. You have us now!!" Daniel added and caressed Cindy's hair. "This big brother will finally have the chance to take care of you. Just know that you are not hated by all!" He said.

Cindy looked at him and Rose and tears continued to run down her cheeks. She didn't know why but, she couldn't stop her tears. "I... I have done some bad things to her... I... I... I even hated her daughter." Cindy said while crying.

"Don't worry about that. My niece is very understanding." Daniel said. He turned to Princess and asked. "Am I right Princess!?"

"You are very correct Uncle Daniel. I am very understanding. At least, I get to have another Auntie. Isn't that the best!?" Princess answered with a smile.

"You see! She understands!" Daniel beamed.

Cindy looked at Rose and said. "But, she doesn't like me. She said I smell like a rotten fish. Do I still smell like it?"

Rose scratched her neck and said. "Hmmm, truthfully, you still do but that's not an issue. We just have to change your perfume, soap, and creams..."

At Rose's answer, Uzo who was sticking to Ada like glue started to laugh. When he saw that no one was laughing along with him, he stopped and looked at Ada for help. At his action, everyone started to laugh. "Fool!! Learn to read the room." Christopher cursed.

Later at night...

Christopher and Rose got into their room after putting Princess to sleep. Cindy left with Daniel and her mother. "How do you feel?" Christopher asked Rose as he hugged her from behind.

"Happy!! Free!... You?"

"I feel like I am ready to start working for our twins.! Don't you think we should start trying?" He answered and started to run his hand along her body.

"I think this is the perfect time to start!" Rose said and turned to face him. She kissed his lips gently at first and increased it. "I love you and I am happy to have you! Let's work hard to make our twins as soon as possible!" She said when she pulled out of the kiss.

"I love you too. You own my life... Let's work hard!" Christopher said and carried her to the bed...
