Princess woke up very early the next day being a Thursday and immediately she opened her eyes, her surrounding was a little strange to her. She was about to panic when she heard a gentle voice. "Princess?" She looked at the person calling her and remembered where she was.
"Daddy?" She called. "Am I really in Lagos?" She asked and Christopher nodded. "Wow!! I can't believe this. I can't believe we'll get to stay with you in this big house." Princess said happily. She suddenly stopped talking and Christopher who came into her room as early as possible got scared. "What's wrong? Don't you like it here?" He asked her worriedly. "Nothing is wrong dad. I just remembered that I will have to start a new school and make new friends. I am scared of that! What if they don't like me?" Princess asked and pouted her lips. "Who would anyone want to hate someone as beautiful as you?" Christopher asked after realizing that she was just scared about making new friends. "Do you think so? Do you think they will all like me?" She asked her father. "They will and I am sure. You are a great girl and they will have no choice but to love you." Christopher said. "You are inky saying that because I am your child," Princess said. "Why would I have to lie about such a thing?" Christopher asked. "Because it's not everybody that will like you. Mom said that in this world, some people will hate you no matter how good you are while some will like you as well. She said I shouldn't expect everybody to like me." Princess said to her father. Christopher was shocked by what Princess said so he asked her. "Why and when did she tell you that?" "Which one do you want me to answer first? Is it the WHY or the WHEN?" Princes asked him. "The two. Answer the two." Christopher answered her. "Ok, there was this girl in my class then. Every time in school, she would call me ugly and names like that. She would always look for my trouble and one day, she called my mom a prostitute. I didn't know the meaning but I beat her up because she called my mom a prostitute." Princess said. "How old are you to beat a girl up?" Christopher asked with amazement. "I am not a baby dad. I was almost three and she was four years old. My teacher called mom and when mom got to school, I heard my teacher telling her that she didn't train me well." Princess said and the smile on her face vanished. "When we left the school, mom asked why I fought and after explaining to her she told me never to fight like that again. That was when she told me that, not everyone in this works will like you. She said, some people will hate you no matter what and some will like you no matter what. She also told me that I should never waste my strength on what is not worth it." Princess said. "Wow!! My baby is so wise. You were barely three but you Still remember what she told you? That is wonderful. You are special." Christopher said and picked her up from the bed. "Where are we going?" Princess asked. "We are getting you cleaned up and ready for the dad!!" Christopher answered tapping her nose. "I want to greet mommy first. Let's go to her room." Princess said. "Your mom is still sleeping. I checked on her before coming to your room." Christopher answered her. "Mommy is still sleeping? What time is it!?" Princess asked with surprise. "Yes, she is still sleeping and the time is just a few minutes to seven," Christopher said as they entered Princess's bathroom. "She must be really tired. Mom never sleeps late. She is like an alarm clock. Always waking up at the right time. I will not go to her room to wake her up. She deserves her rest." Princess said as Christopher put toothpaste on her toothbrush. "Why does she always have to wake up early?" Christopher asked and gave her the brush. "On Mondays to Fridays is because she makes sure I get to school early. On Saturday we wake up early to get the house chores done and to wash our dirty clothes... While in Sunday is because we always attend the first mass." Princess explained. "Wow! Your mom does sound like a busy person. Does she ever go out?" Christopher asked. "Yes. She is busy and yes she tries to take me out once in a while. I don't like stressing her and besides, I prefer staying at home most of the time." Princess answered like a mature lady. Christopher laughed at how princes sounded but, said. "Do you think we should make her breakfast? To thank her for being there for the family." Christopher suggested. "Yes!! That will be great. We should make her Fried rice. No... We should make her Jollof rice. Oh, my God I have the best idea of what to cook. Let's cook her Akara and pap. Yes!! Well, prepare Akara and pap." Princess suggested with excitement. "Wow, you really have a lot of options. The inky problem is that I don't know how to make Akara." Christopher said. "What!! You can't cook? That's bad dad. Very bad." Princess said as she shook her head at him. "Don't make it sound like it's a very bad thing. I only said I don't know how to make Akara not that I don't know how to cook." Christopher answered her. "Well, that means we'll make fried rice. I want us to make her fried rice." Princess said. "There is going to be a problem there as well. Why don't we just make her something simple? Like yam. Yes! Let's make her yam and eggs." Christopher suggested. He didn't have the nerves to tell her that, he wasn't that good in the kitchen. The only things he can make very well are noodles and other light dishes. "That will do. Let's make that when I finish bathing." Princess quickly bought into his trick. "Ok. Should I help you out?" Christopher asked. "Yes, dad. Help me to pick an outfit. I want to look good because I need everyone in this house to see and like me. Mom says the first impression matters a lot and it can not be changed." Princess said. Christopher laughed at her and went into her closet to pick out an outfit for her. He picked out a cute pair of jeans trousers and a white top that had writing on it which says, 'I look like my mom and I love that. He picked out cute white sandals that had a beautiful flower design and I blue headband. When he finished setting out the outfit, he went back into the bathroom to help her out and was shocked by what he saw. "What are you doing?" He asked her. "What does it look like?" Princes asked. She was in the small jacuzzi that was in the bathroom and she had succeeded in getting the floor wet. Christopher laughed at her and said, "you are enjoying yourself. That's what it looks like." He answered. "Yes. I am enjoying what you put in my bathroom. I have seen people bathe like this in movies and it always looks cool." Princess said. Christopher didn't want to spoil her fun so he said, "don't you want to make breakfast for your mom anymore?" He asked her. "I want to. Why do you ask?" Princess said. "You are wasting time. What if she wakes up before we finish cooking? We need to hurry up." Christopher said. "That's true," Princess said and tried to stand up. She tried but kept slipping si she said. "Help me. I don't know why I can't stand it. What's happening?" She asked her father who was watching her with a smile on his lips. He helped her out and took her to the shower to bathe her. After cleaning her up, he picked her cute little bathe towel and tied it around her. They entered the room and he helped Princess get dressed in the clothes he picked out for her. They both rushed into the kitchen after making sure that, Rose was still sleeping. They prepared boiled yam and egg sauce and they were satisfied with the outcome. "This looks great!" Christopher said as he dished out food for them. "That's because I helped you out. It's all thanks to me!!" Princess said. "Yes, it's all thanks to you. You are a great cook. Let's go and check up on your mom." Christopher said and picked her up. He held her in his arms as they walked out of the kitchen. Before they could get to the stairs, they heard a greeting from two people who just walked in. "Good morning sir!" Christopher turned in the direction of the voices and answered. "Good morning. You girls are late today. What happened?" "I woke up late sir!" One said while the other person said, "nothing." "You are both taking your jobs as a joke, right? Because I traveled for how many days. You have both turned into late comers, right?" "No sir," one answered. "Sorry sir, it won't happen again." The other person said. "Anyway, we have new people in the house. Meet my daughter, Princess." Christopher said and gestured at Princess who was looking at the people who just came in with interest. "Princess, this is Ene and Blessing. They come here every day to clean the house." Christopher. Said. "Good morning," Princess greeted. "Sir, did you just say your daughter?" The one named Ene asked. "Yes, she Is my daughter." "Wow! She looks so beautiful but, oga are you married?" The other one named blessing asked. "Yes she is my daughter and yes, I am married. You will all meet my wife later." Christopher answered them. "Wow!! So we now have a madam. And, It's not madam Cindy?" ENE asked. "You have a madam and her name is Rose. I will introduce you all to her once she is awake." Christopher Said. "Now go and do your work." He said and walked up the stairs with Princess in his arms. They got to Rose's room and knocked on the four gently. When there was no replay after some seconds, Christopher pushed open the door gently. They peeped into the room and Rose was still sleeping. He closed the door gently and they both walked back away. They had their breakfast and went out to walk around the house. They got to the back of the building and Princess didn't want to continue on their tour again when she saw the puppies in the cage with their mother. He had to promise to give her one of the puppies and then left her there with Audu the Gardner while he went back into the house.Rose and Princess got to the side of the house and she was wowed. The whole area From the side she could see to the back was filled with trees of all kinds. Mango trees, oranges trees, pawpaw, avocado trees, and some she couldn't name. They walked further and, there was a wide swimming pool. The water looked so neat that one would have the urge to win in it. "Wow!" Rose breathed out."Let's go, mom. The house for the dogs is this way." Princess said and led Rose in another direction away from the pool. They walked among the trees and got to an open space where a small building was. They Met Audu at the house that was built for the dogs and he was feeding them. "What are you two doing here?" He asked them as they got closer."Princess wanted me to come and help her pick one among the puppies and that's why we are here," Rose explained."Oh," Audu said and chuckled at Princess's excitement. "Please, go ahead. Just pick the one you want amongst all of them.""What will happen to the oth
A few minutes later, Princess ran into the house ahead of Christopher and the others. "Mommy!!!" She shouted so loud that it could wake a dead person up. "Good morning mom!" She said as she ran straight into Rose's opened arms."Good morning my baby, how are you?" Rose asked."I am doing great mom. This house is so cool and guess what?" Princess said as she pulled out of the hug."What? Just tell me. You know I am not good at guessing!" Rose said with a smile playing on her lips."Well, daddy has dogs in this house and one of them is a female. She is so big! There is even a swimming pool at the back and, there is also a swing in the garden. The dog just gave birth to her children and daddy said I could take one and it'll be mine. Isn't that cool?" She said in one breath."Wow, you seem to have done your research around the house. That's great." Rose said. She noticed that Christopher and the others had gotten to them so, she said, "why don't you allow mommy to greet these people who c

Rose walked into her room and slumped on the bed. She laid down and looked at the ceiling with different thoughts running through her mind. The thought of confronting the whole citizens of the media when their relationship gets out to the public was something she wasn't looking forward to. Yes, she can do whatever she wants to do as long as the determination is there but, most of these internet citizens just love to criticize. They would only see what they want to see and from the comments that have been made based on the announcement of Christopher's engagement to Cindy, she was going to have a hard time. The public thinks they are a perfect match and they look good together. She continued to think about this till an incoming call on her phone pulled her out of her thoughts."Hello?" She said immediately she picked up the call because she didn't check the caller ID."Good morning sis! Have you guys gotten to Lagos?" She heard. That was when she noticed that it was Ada on the other si
They got downstairs and Christopher took them to the dining room. Immediately they entered, Rose couldn't hold back her comment and said, "Is this really just a house? I feel like I have walked into another world. This is just a dining room for god's sake!! Why must it be so beautiful?" Rose asked and sat down on one of the chairs placed around the table. The chairs were made of wood but it also has leather seats and was made to look golden brown. The table was made of glass and it was decorated with fresh flowers in beautiful vases. There was also a bowl of fresh fruits placed at the center of the table with the edges painted gold."The truth is, I had this house remodeled. I almost tore down the whole house before it could turn to all what you are seeing now." Christopher explained while scratching the back of his neck.Rose and Princess sat down to wait for him while he went to prepare something for them to eat. He came back out after some minutes and placed plates of noodles and f
"Wake up, we are here!" Christopher said and shook Rose who had fallen asleep on the way."What time is it?" Rose asked as she woke up and looked at Christopher."It's 8 pm already. Let's go in. We have arrived." Christopher said and opened the door to get out.It was at that moment that Rose looked at her surroundings. She looked at the house in front of her and was wowed. The building was big. She knew how the house looked like but she didn't get to admire it then. They were a total of five cars parked at the garage and the middle of the compound was a water fountain with colorful lights around it. The lights gave it a kind of glow. She opened the back of the car and carried Princess who was sleeping. As she lifted her up, Princess woke up."Where are we?" She asked as she looked around with sleepy eyes.Christopher who was taking out their bags from the trunk chuckled and said, "this..." He gestured at the whole compound and continued. "Will be your new home. This is our house!""
