Chapter Fifty Three

When they finished having breakfast, Christopher cleared the plates. He refused to allow Rose to take them out. He went to check on Princess and she had already taken her out so, he helped her get dressed in blue shorts and a black top just like his and Rose's. They walked out and met Rose who had gone to get mop and rags that they would use in cleaning their rooms. They started From Princess's room and it was fun cleaning with Christopher doing everything possible to make them laugh out their intestines. They finished cleaning and joined Ene and Blessing in cleaning the rest of the house. Mrs. Rita watched as the family of three who was dressed alike cleaned and joked among themselves. While they were cleaning, Princess and her father turned it into their playground by chasing each other around. It continued like that till they managed to finish up. While they were having fun, someone was having the worst day by watching them.

An hour later...

"So, Mr a day with daddy. What is on the agenda?" Rose asked. While Princess giggled at what she said.

"Y'all should just follow my lead," Christopher said and started walking. Rose and Princess looked at each other and followed behind him.

He took them to the gym in the house and when they walked in, Princess who had never been there was wowed. "Wow... This is so cool!! Are we here to do some exercise?" She said and flexed her muscle.

"Yes, we are here to do some stretching," Christopher said.

"Why na? Did I tell you I want to lose weight?" Rose asked with a frown.

Christopher chuckled at her question and answered. "We are not here to lose weight. This is just to keep fit. What? You don't want to?"

"I don't want to. I am fit like this so I don't need it. You two should go ahead and do it while I watch." Rose said as she looked around. She isn't lazy but she just wasn't a fan of the gym. She has never been to one so, she was scared that she would end up embarrassing herself.

"Come on mom, this would be fun!! I want to..." Princess said and made a puppy face at her mother. "Please..." She said and blinked her eyes cutely.

"Fine, but just for five minutes and I am out of here," Rose said.

"No problem," Christopher said with a smile.

"Are we using this to gym?" Rose asked as she pointed at their outfits.

"No, I got you covered," Christopher answered. "Follow me." He said and led them to a door by the side. When he opened it, they walked in and he took them to a locker with clothes in it. He brought out clothes for all three of them and handed them out. "There is a changing room right there," he said pointing behind them. "I have waited for this day for a long time." He added happily.

Rose and Princes went and got changed and when they came back out, Christopher had changed also. They spent the next thirty or minutes trying out the different instruments and Rose who was reluctant to start was unwilling to stop. "Let's stop here today," Christopher said.

"There is still time. Let's stay for five more minutes," Rose said.

"Your bodies will be sore by tomorrow. We can always come here together every morning." Christopher said and pulled Rose up.

"Fine. Let's go," Rose said. They all left and Christopher took Princess to her room while Rose went to hers.

When father and daughter entered her room, Christopher said. "Go and freshen up while I get Mrs. Rita to help you get dressed. We are going out."

"Yay!!!!" Princess shouted. "Will we get ice cream and pizza?" She asked.

"Yes, we will get whatever you want," Christopher answered. "When you are done, I have outfits that we will use for today," Christopher said and went into her closet. Princess went with him and he picked out her clothes.

"Will mom put this on as well?" She asked while checking out the clothes Christopher chose for her.

"Yes, your mom will be putting on this and I too will wear the same thing. Do you like it?"

"Yes, I love it, dad. Thank you." Princess answered and hugged his legs.

Christopher was happy to see Princess happy. He bent down to her level and placed a kiss on her forehead. "I love you, my baby." He said and hugged her.

"I love you too dad," Princess said.

"Ok, let's not keep your mother waiting," Christopher said and pulled out of the hug. "I'll get Mrs. Rita for you on my way out," Christopher said and walked out of her room. He found Mrs. Rita outside Princess's door and she looked like she was about to open the door because her hand was hanging in the air when he opened the door. "Oh, I was coming to get you!" He said with a chuckle.

"I can see you are very happy," Mrs. Rita said and crossed her hands over her chest.

Christopher closed the door behind him and answered. "Of course I am happy!! I am the happiest man alive on earth right now..."

"I can see that. Why were you coming to fetch me?" Mrs. Rita asked.

"I need you to help me get my princess dressed. We will be going out and don't wait up for us. Webarw spending the whole day out." Christopher said.

"Are you sure it's ok to take them out at this time? I mean, with the problems going on. Your father and Cindy. What if they do something?" Mrs. Rita asked worriedly.

"Don't worry yourself. I have everything under control. I won't let the problems on the ground disturb my family from having fun and living life. My dad and Cindy can't do anything to them." Christopher said with confidence.

"If you say so then, you guys should have fun. I'll dress Princess up and take her to your room in a bit." Mrs. Rita said with a smile.

"I share a room with my wife now so, being her to the master bedroom when she is dressed," Christopher answered with a wide smile.

"No wonder your smile is brighter. That's great!! Am so happy to see you happy." Mrs. Rita said and hugged him.

"Thank you, Mrs. Rita!!" Christopher said returning the hug. "I need to go now or Rose will be wondering what kept me." He said and walked away. When he got back into the room, Rose had already taken her bath and was sitting in front of the dressing table while putting on makeup. "You are finally back?" She asked when he walked in.

"I had to get Mrs. Rita before coming back here. I'll go and take my bath now." He said and walked into the bathroom. He had locked the door behind him but suddenly opened it. "I have set aside the clothes we are supposed to wear. You'll see them once you enter the closet." He said and pulled his head back into the bathroom.

Rose was expecting something like that from him so, she just smiled and continued with her makeup. She did a light makeup up and put on lip gloss. After she was done with that, she went into the closet to see the clothes Christopher had selected. She got there and truthfully, she saw them immediately. She checked and it was a black high waist jeans trousers and a red off-shoulder crop top. At the front of the top was written. 'I AM THEIR...' While on the back was written QUEEN with capital letters. She smiled at what was written on it. Out of curiosity, she checked what was written on Christopher's shirt and it was I AM THEIR KING in the same pattern as hers. She folded it and started to get dressed. The jeans fitted her like a second skin. She wore the top and when she looked at the mirror, she loved how fitted it was. It was a simple dressing but it looked great and what made her love it the more was that red and black happened to be her favorite color combination.

She had just finished checking out herself when Christopher walked in. He looked at her from head to toe and smiled. He spent a lot of time shopping for clothes before he went to Benue state to get them. He spent more than three years watching them from afar. He even put people around Rose's house and they would take pictures of Rose and princess and then send it to him. If he become bored and didn't know what else to do, he would start to shop for clothes and other things for the three of them. He bought almost all their clothes in pairs. "You look wow!!" He said after checking her out from head to toe.

"Thanks!!" Rose answered shyly. "You didn't complete your outfit. What about shoes, bags, and earrings?" She asked.

"I have them all covered." He said and entered fully. "Just take a seat and wait." He said to Rose.

Rose took a seat on a stool there and watched as he went to the part where shoes are kept and came back with two identical sneakers. One is smaller than the other. It's was red in color and had black stars made out of shiny stones on it. He came to her and helped her put it on. Rose resisted but he held her leg firmly and helped her put the shoes on. He choose a red purse and gave it to her then said. "You can wait for me in the room. I have a gift for you."

"Ok," Rose said and walked out. She was overwhelmed with feelings. No one has ever attended to her so carefully and with a lot of love and attention. She was almost on the verge of tears but held herself back. There is no reason to cry. She told herself as she went back into the room. She had just taken a seat when she heard a knock on the door. "Who is there?" She asked.

"It's me, mom!!" She heard. "Can I come in?" Princess asked.

"What are you waiting for? Come in!!" She answered and watched the door.

Princess walked in and she was dressed exactly like her mother. Red crop top on blu jeans and red sneakers. At the front of it was written, I AM THEIR... when she got to Rose who had her arms opened wide. Rose looked at the back and as expected what was written on the back was PRINCESS. "We are dressed like twins!!" Princess said happily while looking at her mother's clothes.

"Yes, we are. Let's sit and wait for your daddy to get ready." Rose said and carried princess on her laps.

A few minutes later, Christopher came out dressed in black jeans trousers, and a red top that had the words I AM THEIR KING written on it as well. He paired it with identical red sneakers and a black face cap. He had with him dark sunglasses as well. "Wow!! We have all dressed alike." Princess exclaimed.

"When did you prepare all these?" Rose asked in amazement.

"I prepared them when I found out that I have a family." He answered. "Come, I have a gift for you." He said to Rose. She stood up and walked to him. He led her to the mirror and made her face it. He brought out a silver necklace that had ROSE engraved on it. It's simple but special. Rose touched it and smiled. He brought out a set of earrings that had R engraved on them as well.

Rose watched as he helped her wear the necklace and earrings and said, "thank you!!"

"Don't thank me. It's what I must do." He said.

"What about me?? Don't I get a gift?" Princess butted in.

"I got my princess a gift as well. Come here." Christopher said to Princess. He wore her a necklace with PRINCESS engraved on it and earrings with the initials P on them.

"Thank you, daddy.!!" Princess said and hugged him.

"Why do you have a cap and we don't? You even have an eyeglass with you." Rose complained.

"I promised you that I will disguise myself and that is why I have these. You two don't need to wear them." He answered.

"I don't want you to wear them. Let's go out without you hiding." Rose said and pulled the cap off his head.

"Why? You said you want to keep a low profile. You said you didn't want the public to know about you yet. What changed?" Christopher asked her.

"I changed my mind. I don't care what happens... We are going out as a family and I have decided not to hide!" Rose answered firmly.

"Are you sure? You don't need to do this just because of me." Christopher said trying to make her see reasons.

"I am sure... Let's go..." Rose said and stretched out her hand for him to hold. Christopher lifted Princess into his arms and took Rose's outstretched hand and they all walked out of the room.
