Chapter Forty Six

Mr. Allen listened to Christopher as he said everything he thought he had hidden very well. How did Christopher know about all these? The truth is that he married Christopher's mother because of her wealth and somehow, he had to sign an agreement before he could marry her. Immediately he stepped out of the sitting room and walked towards the front door, he saw Rose standing there and looking at him. His anger grew instantly. "This is just the beginning and I will be back to get you out of this house.!" He said and pointed at her.

"I am not at war with you sir, I am only here to tell you something," Rose said calmly.

"What does a prostitute like you have to say? You have my son and had doesn't listen to me anymore. What else do you think you have to say to me!!? Just watch your back." He said to her with hatred.

"What did you just call me?" Rose asked with shock written all over her face.

"You heard me, you are a prostitute, and that thing you gave to my son is nothing but a bastard!" He barked at Rose.

"I can take any insult you throw at me but, don't ever involve my daughter. You might not accept me but, Princess is Christopher's child and nothing can change that. I don't know why you called me a prostitute but, don't ever call my child a bastard" Rose fired at him.

"Seriously? You think I will fall for your petty tricks?" Mr. Allen said sarcastically. "You must be joking. You tricked my son into marrying you and you even have the guts to give him a bastard as his. So, I don't expect anything good from you!!" He fired at her.

"That's what you think and I am not here to force you to like me. I just want you to know that I might not be up to your standard but I won't take insults while lying down. I won't have you make my daughter feel bad about herself and I won't stand and watch you ruin a home I am trying to build." Rose said. "Why don't you stop all these attitudes and try to be a father to your son?" Rose asked him.

"Why don't you get out of my son's life.? Why don't you crawl back into the hole you came out from? Why don't you just disappear the way you appeared?" Mr. Allen fired. "You just appeared and just ruined everything!!"

"I am sorry but I can't offer you that... This marriage is going to last an eternity and there is nothing anyone can do about that. My family is together and I plan to make it stay that way forever.!" Rose also said. "My advice to you is that you should try to see things from your son's perspective and maybe by then things will be better between you two," Rose said and walked away leaving him to watch her.

"Stupid prostitute!!" Mr. Allen cursed and walked away.

Rose got back into the dining area and met everybody there including Christopher. "Where were you?" Christopher asked as she took her seat.

"Let's talk about where I was later, for now, you need to finish your food," Rose said and smiled at him.

About thirty minutes later...

They had finished eating and Christopher and Uzo went out to discuss while the ladies cleaned. "Our suspicions are right. My dad has something he is scared of." Christopher said when they entered his office.

"How are you so sure?" Uzo asked as he took a seat on one of the chairs in the office.

"Take your ass off that chair right now!!" Christopher said and pulled him up. "That's my wife's chair and she hasn't even used it yet, don't let me see you sitting there again!" He added.

"Ok oooo... No vex." Uzo apologised with his hands in the air. "So, can we get back to business now?" He asked as he took a seat on Christopher's chair.

"Yes, we should. Just like I said earlier, my dad has something bigger that he doesn't want me to know about." Christopher said.

"I heard you the first time. What do you think he is hiding?" Uzo asked.

"I don't know but, I need to find out and I need to be fast about it. He got me so angry that I couldn't control myself and I told him about the company." Christopher said.

"What! We agreed not to say a thing for now. How can you be so lose mouthed?" Uzo asked.

"I couldn't hold myself back. He was yapping about sending me back to the states and he even threatened to cut me off!! Can you imagine?" Christopher explained.

"You could have just pretended for a while longer. You have been patient for years, what changed? This is not how you usually do things. What changed?" Uzo asked.

"My family changed everything. He made my daughter cry and he had the guts to call my wife a prostitute. That's what changed. No one, I repeat. No one bully's why family and goes away with it. Not even my father." Christopher said.

"Chill bro, you look scary when you talk like that. I am not your father so, don't look at me with that expression." Uzo said. "So, now that you have opened up to your father, things will become tough. You need to take extra measures on protecting your family." He added.

"I know. That's why I am having this conversation right now. I am sure he would try to do something." Uzk said nodding his head. "Now, I want you to get the guys. I need my wife and daughter to be watched 24/7 we can't be too reckless now that I have opened up to him. I need to know what he has in common with Cindy's father before I take the another step." Christopher added.

"No problem bro. I will do that tonight. And thank God john is here. Why don't you make him a permanent personal guard for one of them?" Uzo suggested.

"That's a great idea but, I need to let Rose in on some of what she should expect. I don't want to hide anything from her except it is needed at that moment." Christopher said.

"That's great bro! Let me get to work right away then. It's good to be in love. See the way you are taking like a mature man." Uzo teased with a smile.

"Go and get married or even get yourself a girlfriend and you will understand what it means." Christopher said and walked out with a contended smile on his face leaving Uzo to follow behind him.
