"I mean it, Reniella De Vega," he warned, cold hands placed sturdily on my shoulders. "I'm not sure if it's because we're connected through this whole me-being-a-ghost thing or if it's because you're really looking after me now but I care for you a lot. I worry for your dumb ass and being a ghost sucks, you should look after the life you've got." 

I couldn't look him in the eyes and so instead I kept my gaze stuck to his posh shoes. The posh shoes reminded me that Deshawn was not only dead but a dead Zobel boy.
