A Stranger's Kiss

I'm happy for you.

That's what everyone said at the bachelorette party of one of Elora's office friends tonight.

But to Elora, those words were just nonsense.

Elora cannot share in the joy of the fact that a woman will give up her freedom for the sake of a man. The most bastard creature on earth.

Elora spat into the empty drink glass. The hustle and bustle of the nightclubs didn't interest her at all now because the thing Elora wanted most right now was lying on the sofa in her apartment, enjoying a glimpse of the dark view of Lake Wakatipu.

If it weren't for her office friend who is currently having a party, a friend who helped her get a big project from a client, Elora would not have come to this event.

"El, come with me!" shouted one of Elora's coworkers, a man, who seemed half drunk. He pulled Elora's hand forcefully, telling her to get up from the comfortable maroon velvet sofa. Elora shook her head reluctantly, jerking her hands apart.

One cold annoyed gaze Elora gave her friend. Needless to say, her friend flinched away guiltily. He should have, like all the men around Elora, know that Elora hates being touched by men the most.To avoid repeated offers, perhaps from another friend, Elora hurried to her feet and headed to the toilet.

Elora walked down the low-light hallway, past the wooden cowboy doors that miraculously drowned out the EDM music in the club. Elora decided to smoke, which seemed to relieve stress and feelings of disappointment. Elora opened her bag, a small black tote, and took out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter.

Elora stopped in the hallway, next to the entrance to the men's room. She took out a filtered cigarette and lit the fire from the lighter to light up the cigarette. Elora just taking one sip and puffing out a thin white smoke, when someone entered from the direction of Elora's arrival.

Elora only glanced briefly, to know whether that person was one of her friends or not. It turned out to be just a stranger. Elora continued smoking, but who would have thought that the man would come to Elora while taking off his upper clothes. And once Elora was within reach, the man hooked one hand and pulled her body closer.

"Who are you—" Elora had not yet had time to utter a curse when the man met Elora's gaze with cobalt blue eyes that glowed in the dim corridor.

"Shut up and kiss me," whispered the man.

When Elora didn't flinch, the man tilted his face and grabbed Elora's lips with his.

Elora tried to struggle until her cigarette and bag fell from her hand. But this man's grip on Elora was strong. The strange thing is, this man was so good at kissing that Elora's anger was replaced with pleasure in the blink of an eye.

The man played Elora's lips with his and explored Elora's oral cavity with his clever tongue. Elora sinks to set. She listened to several voices that wanted to go to the toilet but were discouraged because they saw a couple making out.

Everything was like a dream, until the man pointed to the border of Elora's short skirt, trying to explore the skin behind the thin pantyhose Elora was wearing.

Seizing the opportunity while the man was off guard, Elora mustered up her strength and pushed the man away roughly. One slap Elora landed on the cheek of this man who is one head taller than her. The man looked surprised, but just for a moment. His face turned cold now, tend to be lazy.

"Dammit," said Elora, pointing her middle finger painted with fiery red nails at the man.

"You should have done that earlier," replied the man. He bent down to pick up his clothes on the floor, a black T-shirt, which he then put back on. Elora swallowed hard when she saw how perfect the body of the man in front of her was.

"You all are jerks!" Emotions began to overtake Elora as she said that.

The short-haired man raised an eyebrow. Instead of being angry because he was repeatedly cursed at and slapped, the man looked surprised. "We? Is that, before me, someone tend to kissed you suddenly?"

"Go away!" screamed Elora. "Get away from me! Now!"

"Wait a minute. I can explain—"

Not finished with the man speaking, Elora grabbed her tote bag and slammed it against the man's muscular arm. "Go away! Get lost all of you, you bastard!"

Elora didn't care about the man who seemed overwhelmed by her insistent attacks. The man gave one final glance before he left, which Elora interpreted as a sense of pity for herself.

After being sure that Elora was alone in the hallway, Elora slumped to the floor … and she started to cry.
