"Let’s start.

I explained the concept of Fluidity and Freedom, the designs I created under his guidance last night. But before I could even finish, the living hell he warned me about had already begun.

"The choice of silk for a structural design? Isn't that too risky, Lellah?" malamig niyang tanong.

"The silk provides the movement, Sir. It symbolizes the—"

"But can it hold the animation? We are not just making clothes, we are making characters. How can you ensure that the texture won't look muddy once digitized?" pinutol niya ang paliwanag ko.

"Answer me, Lellah. Is this design worth the company's millions?" he challenged, his eyes piercing through mine.

I took a deep breath, remembered everything he taught me last night, and looked him straight in the eye.

"Yes, Sir. Because it's not just a design. It's a story of someone breaking free. And that story is worth more than millions."

Natahimik ang buong silid. Linden stared at me for a long time, then he slowly closed his folder.

"I've made my decision," he announced to the board. "We are moving forward with Lellah’s concept. Her designs will be the face of our new animation project."

"Since this is a high-stakes project, Lellah will be working directly with the lead animator to ensure the transition from fabric to 3D is perfect." "And as the owner and the best animator of this company... I will be taking that lead role. Starting today, Lellah, we are a team."

Literal na napa-awang ang bibig ko. Working with him? Just the two of us?

"Meeting adjourned. Lellah, stay. We need to discuss our first rendering session tonight."

"A month, right? I heard your conversation earlier. You have one month to wait for your husband... and one month to survive me. Let’s see who wins, wife."

"Wife?"

My heart hammered against my chest.

It sounded like a claim.

The atmosphere inside the conference room shifted from professional to intense.

He wasn't just a boss, he was a visionary.

"Lellah, the vertex on this sleeve needs to be more fluid.

The conference room was filled with the clicking of mice and the low hum of high-end computers. Habang tumatagal, lalong bumibigat ang hangin.

"Guys, break muna! "Galing 'to sa kabilang department, pampagising daw!"

Sandaling tumigil ang lahat, maliban kay Linden. He was too focused on the screen, his eyebrows furrowed in deep concentration. I couldn't help but steal a glance at him.

God, he looked so hot.

He had discarded his suit jacket hours ago. But what caught my attention the most was his necktie. It was loose now, the top button of his shirt undone, giving me a glimpse of his collarbone. He looked stressed, messy, yet incredibly sexy.

"Lellah, are you just going to stare at me or are you going to check this rendering?" malamyos ngunit mapanuyang tanong niya.

"I-I'm checking it," nauutal kong sagot bago lumapit sa tabi niya.

I was wearing my wedding ring. Silver and cold.

Linden’s eyes dropped to my hand.

"One month, Lellah," he whispered, his voice low as he reached for my hand, his thumb stroking the metal of my ring.

"One month for you to realize that this ring is just a piece of jewelry... but the mark I left on you that night? That's forever."

He wasn’t saying anything, but each of his breaths seemed to follow the rhythm of my hand. For the first time, I felt proud of what I was creating. His head was tilted back against the headrest of the sofa. Without his usual cold and commanding aura, he looked... different. I found myself observing his face. Nawala ang laging nakakunot niyang noo. His long lashes lay perfectly still, and his sharp nose looked even more prominent under the dim lights of the penthouse. It was a small, jagged mark that somehow added to his rugged handsomeness. Sabi niya, nakuha niya ito no’ng gabi

"Come with me," Linden said, full of authority. "We'll tend to your wound.""Sabi nang huwag mo akong hawakan—Linden!" My world tilted as he threw me over his shoulder like I weighed nothing.I kept screaming while we were in the elevator, punching his back with all my might, but he didn't budge. He was like a wall of granite. Wife? Nahihibang na ba talaga siya? Does he really think he can just claim me like that? Napaka-ano niya!"Linden, ano ba! Let me go! I’m not your wife!" sigaw ko, sinusubukang kalasin ang seatbelt."Sorry t

He was true to his words. Who would do that if I'm already married to someone else? The papers I had worked on all night scattered around me before slowly falling to the floor.I pressed my lips together, my fists clenched while receiving his rage. This is the living hell he was talking about."Mali 'to! Mali lahat!" he shouted with pure rage. "This is garbage, Lellah! Where is the soul I saw before? Do you think this is a joke? Is this how you play with your career, just li

Maraming naging proseso bago ako tuluyang nakalipat—breach of contract, legal papers, and everything. In the end, I disregarded it. Everything went smoothly since I got here. However, I didn’t see my boss, Linden, during those months dahil sa sunod-sunod na business trips. The company is currently expanding, adapting from South Korea since doon talaga nakabase ang main source ng clothing designs nila. They want to give life to the designs."Babalik na si Boss ngayon! Be ready! Ise-check ang mga sk

Lellah's POVI’ve been married for two years, but not once in my entire life have I seen his face or known his name. If I didn't agree with them, they would kick me out. Mawawala lahat ng pinaghirapan ko sa trabaho at ayokong mangyari 'yon.I’ve been a designer with all their support, and now that I’m under their company, I still don’t feel like I’m really a designer. I don’t want to remember it. I’m married, but because of alcohol, I gave my virginity to some stranger.
