CHAPTER 7

°❤️° Jennifer' POV °❤️°

"Shit" I cursed under my breath as I wake up in my best friend's bedroom.

I sit up on the bed as I look around, my heart thumping against my chest. I hear the door creaking open.

"Oh, you're awake.." Edward chimes as he enters the bedroom. "You should get ready before we're both late" he chuckles as he sits down on the bed, the mattress sinking with his weight. I curl my legs towards me, avoiding touching him.

"What happened?" I rubbed my eyes, trying to get myself more alert before looking back at him.

"You fell asleep peacefully on my bed" his head tilting to the right as his lips stretching into a warm smile.

        "I'm so sorry-"

"It's okay, forget about it." He laughs. "Just go get ready" he shooed me out of his room into my room.

I enter into my room and I run to my washroom where I get ready and meet with Edward outside in the hallway.

"Let's go..." he chimes. He gestures to me to walk before he so I did. And we reach the bus stop to take the bus.

The bus ride is almost silent but not an awkward one. It is weird how I'm getting closer to my Edward.

"You should come over tonight," he says and I snap towards his direction.

"I'm sorry???" I say, hoping he'd repeat himself.

"No-No, not like that." He chokes himself with his own words as he laughs bashfully, the corner of his eyes crinkling with the wide smile.

"Come over so that we can pick up from where we left off," Edward said with a nod then pauses because it sounded worse and winces. His head tics to the side as he tries to find the right words

"Where we left off with the math book in the class." He finally finished clearing, his throat and tugging at the collar of his shirt.

"Alright" I respond softly, looking out of the window of the bus, feeling the heat crawling up my neck.

And we reach the campus. "We're here" Edward look at me from the side and to break the awkward silence I speak out, " Thank you"

"For what?" his brows knitted together, a look of genuine confusion painting his face.

"Umm... about the last night... to cheering me up..." I look at him and he shakes his head.

"Don't mention it." He grins showing his boxy smile, looking satisfied.

I walk into the lecture hall with Edward. My every day usually starts badly but now getting brightened up my best friend on which I can count to make me smile, as well as Jacob who has the ability to grows enjoyment whenever we all hang out together.

I take my usual seat to get comfortable, Edward joins me and sits beside me. I feel better to have him by my side, this makes the weight of my worries a bit lighter on my shoulder.

"So while the professor is not here we can take this opportunity to talk more." he drops his bag down at the feet of the table to turn towards me. "We've talked all-night-long Eddie" I smile at him, finding his enthusiasm cute. " Yes, but you fell asleep early, remember? so that wasn't the talk.." his adorable teeth come with insight as his lips cleared the way out.

"Are you trying to get her to be more than just a friend Eddie?" Jacob who's seated right at the desk behind us all by himself leans over to get closer to us. His shiny face lightening my sight. Edward slaps his forehead and gives him a judging look. " You dumb ass."

I quietly laugh at his expression but glance away, for my eyes to be directed straight forward.

"Hey. You seem tense my cupcake, are you stress about the test of math?" he closes the gap distancing us to grin at me. "I.....am....a lot..."

"Wait" he stands up abruptly, not giving any explanation, he steps in my back and starts to give me a message on the shoulders, releasing some of the terrible tension that I always have in that area. "Geez...your muscles are like rocks, you should relax sometimes....." he keeps on going with his slender fingers, making me laugh at his remarks. " I know but that's easier to say than to do. "

❤️ Timothy' POV ❤️

I walk towards the classroom I always miss once I'm away, that one into which I know I'll be able to see the girl who brings a lot of weird feelings into me. I step towards the opened door but was stopped by a colleague. "Hey, professor Timothy, sorry to waste your time right now but I need to let you know that I talked to the director about the project...." he keeps on speaking to me as I'm nodding to his explanations.

My eyes drift away for a short split of seconds, to fall upon Jennifer, being massaged by Edward, the boy which she seems to be pretty close lately. I try to focus on the sayings of the man standing in front of me, but an urge keeps on overwhelming me, and my veins burn up every time I discern his hand on her shoulders, the way he kneads them, her closed eyes that must be an instinct reaction to some pleasure. "Is it okay for this weekend?" his voice magnifies in volume as if I was away for a moment.

I blink several times, taking a deep breath to make up my mind, and answer blankly, " Yes."

"Perfect, see you there and good luck with your students," he gives me a cheerful tap on my shoulder and leaves my sight to walk away. I enter in the room with already the anger inside of me just to see the closeness between her and that boy.

Everybody stands up to greet me and Jennifer's gleaming eyes meet mine as Edward stepped aside to stop what he was doing. "You can sit down." I clench my jaw and put my stuff onto my desk, already hating the way she's averting my gaze.

What the hell is he doing next to her.

"Edward, retrieve your seat please," I ordered him to get back at the table behind the one he's occupying with the girl who's mine. " S----Sir.... why can't I sit here?"

"Because I say so..." I sigh and keep my eyes directed straight into his, not in the mood to repeat myself. He stood up as told and gathers up all his belongings to get on his usual seat and let Jennifer alone.

She crosses her arms against her appealing breast, the curve of them standing out by the way her arms are perfectly placed.

I hurry myself to divert my attention to something else and roll up my sleeves up, " Is there a volunteer to hand out the paper of yesterday?" I take the stock of the paper out from my black leather briefcase, checking if some hands are raised. "Miss Jennifer" I call her out intentionally as only thirsty girls raised their hands to have the opportunity to be close to me or have my attention. I gaze at her as she's coming up to me without giving me just a glance. She grabs hold of the sheets of paper and turns around, to do what I told her without retorting.

I sit down to tell everyone to open their books on the last page we arrived at the end of the course. I open my laptop to check the records of each student in this classroom and their points, in order to make a report for the director. On the other hand, I can't help myself but snatch a glance at Jennifer, walking past the different desks, while also checking other students to not get myself caught checking her out. I need to control myself.
