LOVE OR REVENGE?

In the dark of night, the stars lighted up the sky. In the forest, the only thing that was heard was the chirping of the crickets.

Suddenly, there was a loud sound. Anyone who heard that sound would surely run for his/her dear life, because the noise sounded like a wild animal was walking towards them.

At the middle of the forest knelt a frail and haggard looking woman. The cloth she had on did nothing to cover her body and the fact that she had been whipped times without numbers made the clothes she had on, tear.

Beside the woman stood an average looking man who had a sinister smile hanging on his lips as he toyed with the bloody knife in his left hand.

"I don't know why you're so stubborn and greedy. He warned you, didn't he? You've gotten a little of what you wanted, even if it wasn't all, but you went ahead and did as you pleased. Do you know what my boss hates the most?", the man asked, still smiling sinisterly. His formerly blue orbs had turned black, which made him look very scary.

"Jude, what's the use of talking to her? You know I've told you to stop doing this anytime I ask you to take care of the likes of her", a thunderous voice that could make one shiver and fall on their knees, rang aloud. A half naked man, with muscles and all, emerged from the forest while stretching lazily. His sudden appearance made the two people cower in fear.

"I just wanted …to tell her what you hate the most so that in her next life she won't ever repeat the same mistake". The man named Jude summoned the little courage he heard and spoke. No one would have believed that this was the man who had been smiling sinisterly, but he couldn't the blamed, cause the aura the muscular looking man had was not to be ignored.

"I'm sorry, please, I… I've learned my lesson. Please just let me go, I promise to leave your sight, and you won't ever see me again. Please", the woman sobbed as she tried touching his feet, but the man was fast enough to move backwards, making her hands land on the floor.

"I can see you weren't tortured properly since you're still able to move your hands and legs", the man said coldly, making Jude shiver in fright. This was the devil himself, and he was not to be tampered with, so he made sure there was a safe distance between them.

His sneaky and little action didn't go unnoticed by the shirtless man, who was feeling happy seeing the lady's miserable expression. He was one who found fun in seeing his enemies hurt.

"Please Sebastian, I'm your mate for goodness' sake! How can you be so heartless?". The woman yelled frustrated. She was about to start apologizing again when she felt a sharp pain on her cheek.

At first, she thought it was just a pain that'd go and come, but when she suddenly felt the skin on her face tightening and the sharp pain grew worse, she realized it wasn't something to be ignored. She screamed in agony as she stared at the man standing before her in horror.

She could only bite her lip in regret as she thought of the things that had transpired between them before this happened.

If she had known that this was going to happen, she'd have desisted away from him, but no, her greed didn't allow her. There was no time for regret as she stared at Sebastian, teary eyed. If she had known, she'd not have listened to those people who sent her.

She felt pain take over her body and she screamed louder.

Just before she took her last breath, she heard him say:

"You're lucky I let you die the easy way".

'I'll make them pay', the monster living in Sebastian whispered audibly enough for only his host to hear.

As soon as he said this, she took her last breath and left the world regretfully.

"Clean up this mess", Sebastian commanded as she stared at the lifeless figure before him. He had heard people saying that losing their mate would cause them pain and almost make them insane, but he felt nothing after killing his mate with his hands. He didn't regret ever killing any of his mate. They were both used as chess pieces by his enemies and he wasn't surprised because he had expected this.

Now, he just had to sit back and wait for them to send his last mate to him. He wouldn't mind taking her life also as far as he got his revenge.

Jude stared at his monster of a boss and his knees grew weak, but he refused to give in to the urge to collapse. He wanted to uphold the little image he had in his boss's eyes (not that he was sure he even had any image to uphold).

Sebastian wasn't concerned about his assistant's expression, as this was not the first time he had seen such a look on his face. He had grown immune to it.

"You're wasting my time", Sebastian voiced out and as soon as he said this, Jude brought out a porcelain bottle and emptied its content on the lifeless figure.

Time didn't need to be counted as the figure melted and turned into a pool of blood which was easily covered with a heap of muddy sand.

Once they made sure there were no traces of her melted body left, Jude heaved a sigh of relief. Sebastian wasn't bothered.

"Hand over my injection". Sebastian said with his hand outstretched.

Meanwhile….in an unknown land, a group of men gathered while smoking. Their faces were not seen as the smoke they puffed out from their mouths made their faces blurry.

"So, plan B failed. What's next?", A young man's groggy voice, was heard. To others, he would just be fit for a drunk man, but the people surrounding him knew he was very courteous of his surroundings and still in his right senses.

"THE GRAND PLAN".
