Leah made her way to the clear located in the center of Ray’s pack territory and landed a few feet away from where the magnificently decorated tables were set up. There were a lot of people present already. People were dancing to the music that was playing over the loud speaker and she could see little pups running around, weaving in between and underneath the tables. She could hear their excitement as they noticed her and ran over to greet her. She quickly shifted to her human form with a smile and began greeting them back, giving hugs to the pups that asked for one. They were a friendly bunch, that was for sure. Leah had expected a small amount of reservation from the pack at first. She was, after all, a stranger to them and not a wolf. But, to her surprise, she was welcome with open arms by everyone. She received lots of complements on her dress and how pretty she was. She was really used to all the praise, so she just smiled and thank them with a blush on her face.Leah looked up

The first part of the ceremony was beautiful. The couple said their vows and the pack cheered as they kissed. They followed it up with lots of food and dancing. Leah danced with Ray for a while, before one of the teenagers requested a dance with her. Ray growled unhappily, but Leah just laughed softly. Theo gritted his teeth before slamming his fist down on the large mahogany desk that separated himself from King Sullivan. This was not going the way he had planned. Leah stepped into the house and let out a deep sigh as she headed to her father’s office. Now that she and Ray were officially mated, she needed to talk to her father. She knew he wasn’t going to be happy, but what choice did she have. She was madly in love with Ray, and she knew she would not have been happy with anyone else. Now that she and Ray were officially mated, her father would have no choice but to agree to an alternative way of solving their problem with Queen Dominique’s clan.She made her way to her father’s office, not bothering to head upstairs to her room to change. Ray sighed wistfully. He was missing his mate already. Leah had said she needed to go home to speak with her father. Ray had offered to go with her, but she declined his offer. She said that this was something she needed to do on her own. She needed to tell her father about their mating. She said that she felt bad for going behind her father’s back, and that the least she could do was to meet with him face to face and explain what was going on. Ray understood where she was coming from, and so he didn’t argue further about her going by herself.Ray kissed her deeply and saw her off, watching her dragon form fly away until he could no longer see her. The howl of an enraged wolf broke Ray out of his shocked state. He looked up to see Dallas in shifted form rushing towards one of the pack houses. Ray’s heart lurched when he noticed that the house was already on fire. But what really alarmed him was the sound of a small pup crying for her mother. The pup was still inside the burning building.Ray raced over to the house and rushed inside, making his way up the stairs to where he could hear the child crying her heart out. The heat from the fire was starting to get to him, but he needed to get to the little girl. Why was she still inside the house when everyone else was making their way to the main pack house? She had wanted nothing more than to go to Ray and have him hold her in his arms and make the pain of leaving her family go away. Little could she have imagined that she would arrive at the pack territory only to see that it was being destroyed by one of her kind, a dragon!The shock she first experience upon seeing the flames eating their way through all the pack houses and buildings gave way to pure unadulterated anger as she saw her mate being flung from the back of the large dragon and into the side of one of the buildings that just so happened to still be standing.
