Mag-log in~Eve pov~
I went straight on my knees the moment those words left his mouth, nobody knew that my father was Steve Cole, the arsonist that made it to the news that year for setting a company on fire, with five people injured, and one dead—Logan’s brother. I did my best to run away from it, I was twelve when it happened, and I hated my father for it. I asked him why he did it countless times, but he refused to say a word to me. So, I cut ties with him, I even changed my name from Sarah Cole to Eve.
“I’m really sorry Logan….I’m really sorry.” I begged, letting tears fall freely from my face.
I saw his eyes drift to my desk, and he slowly picked up the revenge draft I was making before he walked in. “You want to get revenge on your ex-husband, when you are the one that should be exiled from the rest of us? Is that not pathetically hilarious?” He mocked me, but I couldn’t get mad at him. He had no idea about what I went through in that house, but his pain must have been worse than mine since he lost his brother and his father’s company was ruined too.
“I spoke to Brian, and he told me everything about you—your lies, your promiscuity and your infertility, the reason why his mother hated you. You are just like your father, aren’t you?” He said, pointing his finger directly in my face. And I had to admit that I was scared of him at that point.
“You are afraid of me right?” He walked round the table, sitting on the chair across from me. “That’s how it should be. Do you know how much I hate your father, hoping that he perishes alongside his family. But here you are—living like a queen, about to bag the youngest and finest billionaire as your husband. Fuckkk!!” He screamed out in frustration.
“Let’s cancel the wedding if that will make you feel better.” I said, remaining glued to my knees.
He let out a sinister laugh, “We are getting married Eve.” I shot him a surprised look.
“That pathetic life you tried so hard to run away from, I’m going to deliver it to you on a platter of Gold.” He said, standing up to leave.
I sprang up to my feet and blocked his way, “No, you can’t do that Logan. Please, I'm begging you.” I clasped my palms together, hoping he would see the desperation in my eyes.
“If you have any ounce of conscience, Eve, then you’ll marry me. Are you not afraid of Arthur finding out? Do you want to be back on the street, homeless?” He pushed me out of his way, leaving me on the ground while I cried till I was tired.
I hate my father, I hate him so much that I wish he would just go to hell. It was because of him my mother died, and now—just when I was about to start a better life, his deeds are back to haunt me.
I was approaching my car in the underground garage when I heard the sounds of heels clinking behind me. I turned to see who it was.
“Morgan?” I asked, looking at her, I couldn’t even tell what her hair color was exactly. She was in blue and black the last time I saw her.
“Hello Eve, it must have been tough.” She removed her glasses from her eyes.
“What?” I snapped.
“Your fiance figuring out you are the daughter of his brother’s murderer.” She said in a mocking tone.
“Don’t you think it’s bold of you to show your face here after what you did to me?” I asked, trying to hide the fact that I was affected by her discovery. I wondered how many other people knew about it.
“I’m just here to warn you to stay away from Brian, if not I’ll do more than just spreading rumors about you next time. You know what I mean.” She used her thumb to draw a line over her neck.
At that point, I wasn’t afraid of her, if there was something I could wish for, it would be death.
“I want nothing to do with your sterile husband, Morgan.” I said, unlocking my car.
“You are the sterile one, bitch.” She barked, taking a few steps closer to me.
I gave her a mischievous smile, “How long have you been with Brian now? Two years? Why are you not pregnant yet? Or are you also sterile like me? Morgan, your husband has clearly been shooting blank shots.” I saw how my questions and insinuation got to her. I drove off without listening to her rants anymore.
I drove straight to the penitentiary, and requested to see my father.
“Sarah…what are you doing here? I haven’t seen you in 12 years.” My father said with teary eyes.
“Why?’’ I paused, trying to catch my breath to avoid getting a panic attack. “Why did you have to pop out of nowhere again, just to ruin my life? Why do I have to live a miserable life just because I’m your daughter?” I asked bitterly, tears rolling down my face.
“Sarah….” He touched the glass separating us with shaky hands.
“You are never going to see me again.” I left him there.

I was walking down the aisle with Arthur, my adopted father. We were not facing a mirror, but I could tell how beautiful we both looked together—if only he was my birth father.
“You are so beautiful Eve, you are indeed my daughter.” He said, his smile wider than his cheeks.
“I’m flattered Arthur. Thank you for being a good father, I won’t let you down.” I assured him, giving him a halfhearted smile.
“Don’t worry, Logan is a good man, he’ll treat you well.” I nodded in agreement.
Logan I was indeed a good man, but my father’s existence ruined him, and I bet he’ll treat me anything but well.
“Do you, Logan Maxwell, take Eve Craig as your lawful wife, to love, cherish, and to obey, in good times or bad times, in sickness and in health, for better or for worse?” The officiator asked Logan.
After what felt like five minutes of silence, “Yes…I do.” He let out a sigh after, like he just did something he’d regret for life.
“Do you, Eve Craig, take Logan Maxwell as your lawful husband, to love, cherish, and to obey, in good times or bad times, in sickness and in health, for better or for worse?”
I didn’t think twice, “Yes, I do.” I said, staring directly into Logan’s eyes when all I could see in them was hatred.
“You may now kiss your bride.”
Logan leaned in close to me, his lips close to mine. “Welcome to hell, Eve.” He whispered before his lips crashed on mine.
Eve’s POV “Something smells nice.” I turned to the voice behind me. It was Mark. I chuckled. I decided to make lunch with Mrs Rachel after our conversation and after having my breakfast. I made my father’s favorite. He should be awake soon. “Mr Nathan said you are in the kitchen.” Mark said as he took a seat to join us.“Good day Mr. Mark.” Mrs Rachel said to Mark and they exchanged their greetings before she excused herself to set the table. “Good thing you came in at the right time. We just finished preparing lunch.” I said to mark as I placed some cups on the table. “I can tell.” He chuckled.“Do you have everything we need on Macherry enterprise?” I asked as I poured each of us a glass of wine. It was a nonalcoholic fruit wine I had already drunk from earlier. “Yes.” He said as he took a sip from his glass. We headed to the dining table to have lunch together and I told Mrs Rachel to take my fathers food to his room. I will be there to help him eat. Lunch was quick for Ma
Eve’s POV “Hello Logan.” I said with a small voice. But he was still quiet on the other side of the phone but regardless I could tell he was listening. “Thank you for the flowers and gifts you sent earlier.” I added. I had to mention it again since he didn’t reply to my text and I am still very grateful to him. “How is Mr Arthur doing?” He finally said something back. His voice was firm and he was straightforward as always. “He is getting better. The doctor said he can be discharged today.” I explained it to him as I began to think about the next thing to say. “Uhm.. I was wondering if it’s ok that I spend a few days with my dad since he is still in recovery and I also have some urgent work to catch up with my assistant Mark.” I asked him. I had to ask regardless, even if our marriage isn’t the type where we actually care about what the next person is doing. It is only right that I run it by him first since we had to cancel our honeymoon because of the sudden incident. “Take yo
Eve’s POV I came out of the restroom with a small smile on my face after sending a text message to Logan to thank him for his support and the gifts he sent. Although he didn't reply to my text I could tell that he viewed it.I walked up to Mark who was talking to doctor Chris. “Eve, you are here.” Mark said as I joined them. “Yes.” I nodded softly.“I was just asking Mark about you,” Doctor Chris added. “How is my father doing doctor Chris?” I asked with faith. “Please come with me to my office.” He tells me. I wasn’t expecting anything other than good news but for some reason I was still nervous. I nodded and followed at his request as we both excused ourselves leaving Mark to say with my father. “Mr Arthur is more stable and can be discharged today.” Doctor Chris tells me after we took our seats. His words came with a level of relief he wouldn’t understand even if I tried to explain. “Thank you doctor Chris.” I said I took his hands into mine before letting go of them. “H
Eve’s POV My eyes opened gently when I felt a gentle pat on my head. It was my dad. He sent me a small smile. I didn’t move an inch and I stayed with him throughout the night after having three cups of coffee. I guess I still passed out. “Dad, you are awake.” I said with my morning voice. He looked better than he was yesterday when I came in. “I should call the doctor.” I added. Although he was looking better, I could tell he was still weak. I gave him a kiss on the forehead before I left. Just as I was about to step outside of the room I bumped into the doctor. “Good morning Mrs Eve.” Doctor Chris said as he made his way into the room. “Good morning doctor good thing you are here I was just about to come to you.” I said excitedly. He gave me a knowing look and sent me a small smile.“Mr Arthur you are awake.” He added. I watched him as he looked through the record he was holding. “Why don’t you get some rest Mrs Eve while I examine your father.” Doctor Chris added. I nodded
Eve’s POV “Hi dad.” I gently patted on his head. My eyes tear up at the sight, he was looking so pale. “Eve, what are you doing here?” He tried to speak but he was sounding very weak. “Save your strength dad.” I held on to his hand and gently rubbed on it. While Logan was standing right next to me. I resisted all the urge to cry but I couldn't, tears fell freely from my eyes. My honeymoon must have ended before it started but I do not mind. I was only going for it because I promised Arthur that I would. But he was more important to me than a honeymoon. Logan and I were headed for the airport already when I got a text from Nathan that my dad was in the hospital. My phone immediately slipped out of my hand and fell to the ground. My eyes well in tears. I couldn’t think for a moment there. Logan immediately drove off from the road and stopped. From his expression, I could tell that he was worried. “Eve, what’s going on?” His voice was firm. I couldn’t respond. The fear of being
Logan’s povI walked into the living room to find Two faced standing in a white mini night gown. Her snow white skin complimented the dress and her curves were more visible. From the look on her face I couldn't tell she was lost. I was going to pretend like I didn’t see her and pass by when she called for my attention. I almost wasn’t listening to what she was saying because of her body. Damn she is so hot and I hate that I see her that way. I didn’t want to stay around her for another minute. I don’t trust myself after seeing her so many times in my sleep, so I just agree to whatever she says. It wasn’t a bad idea after all and it might just make grandma’s private investigator get off our backs. Since we would be going on a little vacation I decided to tell two faced that we would be stopping by at grandma's place. She couldn’t make it to the wedding because she was sick but I was willing to postpone it, but she refused because she thought it was one of my ways to avoid getting m
Eve’s POV I opened my eyes to find myself on the bed. I rubbed on my eyes to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating. But I slept on the coach. How did I get here? I scanned the room with my eyes. Then the memory suddenly kicked in. Oh my goodness. I gasp when I remembered what happened last night. I
Eve’s pov Our bags were arranged. I waited for Logan to come down so we could get moving. After our shoot yesterday he handed his credit card to me to get the things we would be needing for our little vacation. Not only did he give me his credit card, he also drove me around town. I didn't need
Emily’s pov “Why!?” I pushed down everything on Logan’s office desk to the ground. I came here with some much hopes that things would go my way this time around. I wore my most seductive dress and perfume and my make up was intact as alway and my hair fell perfectly. I was so confident in myself
Eve’s POV “And one.. two.. three.. four.” The camera light flashes on our bodies. Logan and I arrived just in time for the brand shoot. The team gave us everything we needed and the touch up we also needed. It was supposed to be Emily, Logan and myself as planned but the director insisted that
