Chapter 107

I open my mindlink and nudge into his mind and he opens ‘is everything alright? Why the long face?’ ‘it’s just, I really thought things would go differently for me you know’ ‘different in what way?’ ‘mate wise I guess’ ‘did you have someone in mind you were hoping to be your mate or something?’ ‘as a matter of fact there was Red’ ‘well there goes that hope, I mean look at Sally Jay, she’s beautiful and I’m sure she’s just as beautiful on the inside’

‘Do you think she has what it would take to be a Luna?’ ‘anyone can be a Luna Jay, you just have to lead her and work with her and also your mom will have to pass her wisdom down, just give it a chance and I’m sure it’d work out, there is no point in trying to fight your fated over a chosen’

‘Look whose talking miss I’m going to mateless for life’ ‘oh shush’ “you know it’s rude to have private conversations in front on company” “sorry hun, no need to be jealous!” Beau rolls his eyes but blushes every so lightly.

We each order what we want to have for breakfast and just have some idle chatter as we wait for our food.

“Here we go, please enjoy your breakfast everyone” “thank you Sally!” I waste no time digging into my waffles, omelette and bacon, after pouring my syrup all over it “mmmm this is divine!” Both guys simply chuckle, “you really know how to throw down don’t you Red”

“Hey back off, I’m a growing girl!” now it was Sally’s turn to laugh and she slide in next to Joao and makes quiet conversation with him, I turn to Beau “yours looks pretty good too” I slice a piece of my waffles and omelette and stick it on my fork and he opens his mouth and bites it then does the same sharing his food with me “pretty good, I think I’d try that next time”

“What the hell is up with you two?” both of us look to Joao and Sally, Sally is confused and Joao seems pissed “what’s wrong?” “it’s nothing, just ignore me” he carries on eating and so do we, a few other customers come in and Sally leaves the table to go and serve them.

After our meal Beau and I walk ahead to give Joao some privacy with Sally, we walk past a store and I see a pair of sunglasses that I think would look great on Beau, so I haul him into the store and ask the keeper to show the shades so he can try it and as I thought it was perfect, I was about to leave when another pair catches my eyes and I could some how see it on Hunter, well the King so I ended up buying it too and just placed it in my bag.

Beau exits the store wearing his sun glasses, truly feeling himself. I feel my phone vibrate and take it from my pocket and see Alpha Teejans name flash on the screen. “Give me a sec, I got a call coming in” Beau nods and I walk a few feet away and accept the call.

“Hello my Alpha”

“Roho Milva”

“I’m much too far away to have done something bad Alpha”

“Can you please tell me why there are Six men at my pack gate telling me they’re looking for the one who saved their lives and helped them, the Red-head”

“But Alpha, I am not the only Red-head in the pack sooooooo”

“Don’t sass me young lady! You’re the only one who saved Rogues in the forest”

“Oh mannn, what do they want?”

“YOU!”

“Why though?”

“Argghh hold on” there’s some shuffling and muffled talking before a new voice comes through the phone.

“Hello there”

“How did you guys find my pack?”

“Wait so you didn’t tell them which pack you’re from?” Alphas voice comes through.

“Of course not! I may be reckless but I am appalled you’d think so low of me Alpha, I am hurt” I hear some snickering in the background.

“We are excellent trackers my dear, we simply followed your trail, once it’s in our senses, it remains there until we no longer need it.”

“Wow, that’s impressive, how is your friend?”

“He’s basically back to normal, but I want to ask you something, how did you know we would need the protection potion?”

“For obvious reasons, you were prey that got away and linked to their missing comrade so naturally they’d come looking, again why are you at my pack putting me in trouble”

He laughs “we mean no harm, we simply wish to be apart of the pack that you belong”

“Uh huh, apart of my pack?”
