Chapter 108

“Well considering I am not an Alpha I would say so yes, you’re talking to the wrong person”

“Well your Alpha is the one who said he had to call you to find out what’s what not us”

“Give me that!”

“What the heck Roro?!”

“What? I mean it’s not like I asked them to follow me back Alpha, what are you mad at me for?”

He sighs “what must I do with you young lady? Why did you help them in the first place, they’re rogues”

I Pause for a bit “well Alpha, Rouges are people too and each person has their own story and reasons plus they don’t seem like a bad bunch!”

“Okay, I will hear them out and decide from there, how is training?”

“It’s not started as of yet, Beau, Joao and I are on the night shift team so tonight is our first day basically”

“Okay then, is Joao nearby?”

I swivel to look for him “Oh he’s uhh hmm well he was there a while ago, I’ll have to let him call you back Alpha”

“No that’s fine Roro, you take care of yourselves alright?”

“Okay, bye bye”

“Bye”

“Oh! Here he comes Alpha, hang on!” I put my hand over the phone to cover, or so I thought before shouting  “Joao can you tear yourself away from Sally for a moment! Phone for you!”

“Wow Ro, announce to the entire kingdom why don’t you, who is it?” “your dad” he pales then takes the phone from me and moves away from me.

I lean against the hand rail and wait for him to finish his conversation, it doesn't go for very long, he comes back looking kind of annoyed then chucks the phone at me "thanks a lot Red" "what's the matter?" "my dad heard what you said about Sally and asked about her" "and?" "what do you mean and? and I had to tell him who she is"

"I am trying and failing to see what the issue here is Jay" he says than pats my shoulder "you wouldn't understand, let's head back to the castle, where the fk did you get those glasses from?"

"Ro bought them for me" Joao looks at me "what?" "so where's mine?" "ay you've got your mate now, it's her turn to spoil you" he doesn't say or ask anything further "let's head back" he says emotionlessly and stops a cab, we file in and tell the cabby our destination then the car is filled with silence all the way to the gate.

As soon as we get out I am accosted "Ms. Roho Milva?" "yes" "I need you to come with me please, it's a matter of some urgency it would seem" "what's going on?" "it's nothing to be concerned about, her services are needed in the hospital" "it's fine, I'd see you guys later okay?" they nod "please lead the way"

I follow the guard all the way to the top floor of the hospital where there's quite a lot going on.

I must admit that I feel very nervous allowing myself to be on the spot light in assisting with reviving their mates but my heart truly can not allow others to suffer unnecessarily, I mean if the King finds me suspicious that would be game over for me as I would not be able to resist his Alpha command if he uses it on me to get information out of me.

Once everything is over and done with I try to leave because I want to get back to the guys to talk with Joao and then get some rest for training later when the King accosts me and enters the elevator with me, I swallow hard because this space suddenly seems way too small for both of us.

I can feel the sexual tension in the air as the elevator descends, Gods I need to get out of here quick, he’s too close. Please elevator door open! I need to scram! My sanity depends on it, the Gods hear me and the door dings before opening and I waste no time bolting out, all manners and respect totally out of the window at this point.

I do remember, the glasses I bought, I unzip my bag and take them out second guessing myself in the moment, oh what the heck, I turn on my heel and walk back over to him, he’s just standing there watching me with his arms folded causing his biceps to bulge, I unconsciously lick my lips ahh shit!

“What’s the matter?” I look up to him, I feel so small.

“Uhm, you may have lot’s and this may seem insignificant but I saw this today while I was out and thought it would suit uhm Hunter I mean well you”

I chuck it at him and he takes it from me “he told you his name?” I look up at him confused “yes?” he smiles “thank you” “you’re welcome” and I zip off again.
