Chapter 112

We got off training in Four hours thanks to our group not being found during our training run but I am still pumped after the remaining training we received "what should we do now guys?" "how about we go for a run?" "okay" "what are you guys doing here?" it's a few of the other trainees from the day team "we got let off early" "bullshit, why? we were up at the crack of dawn and trained our full eight hours and you're telling me you got off early?"

"Yes, yes we did" the guy stepped closer to me, I suppose hoping to intimidate me "first of all back the hell up out of my personal space or I will make you" he jaw ticks and he takes three steps back "we got let off early because one of the teams went through the training in the forest without being caught" "you expect me to believe that?" "well you can ask anyone who is on the night shift as well as the instructors" I turn and leave pulling Beau, Joao and the others with me.

"I don't like you, you know" I call back "then it's a good thing I didn't come here to be liked then huh" we happen to meet instructor Harry at the base of the running trail "excuse me Instructor Harry, we'd like to go for a run, is it fine for us to use this trail or is it only for members of the Royal Guard and pack members to use"

"You're all here to train which means you have access to the trails and facilities that the Royal Guards do, so feel free to use the trail" he points to an area way up "do you see that area, it's the forbidden zone, you will feel when you start to approach it, do not go in there, not even the Royal Guards can, is that understood?" "yes sir" "and also, the trail is boobeytrapped so be careful, it's not the kind of life or death traps but still, falling into pits, getting caught into nets, those sort of things, the Guards and others know where they are so they can naturally manouver around them, but you don't so be careful"

"Thanks for letting us know" he nods and motions for us to go on, I see the trail and follow it and the others follow behind me "Red are you sure we're going the right way" Trevor asks as we make our way up the mountain "of course not, but nothing has happened to us thus far, so we should be fine right, just let me know when you're ready to turn back"

"God's we're ready" he pants out and I stop running "are you guys tired?" "you aren't?!" "no" I shrug Trevor throws himself on the ground breathing hard and I chuckle "are all of you tired too?" "go easy on us Red, we do our running with our wolves" "which is why your stamina in human form is so low, let's say God's forbid one day you're unable to shift, look how vulnurable you'd all be"

A movement catches my attention at the corner of my eyes and I turn "you guys see that?" "what?" they look around, I don't feel any presense other than our own which is weird but not imposibble "there" Beau points, something ghostly white flits from behind a tree some distance away to another tree.

"Yo! let's get the heck out of here!" "how can we go when we don't know what we saw? what if leaving it, comes back to haunt us? and waht if following it causes us to end up haunting?" I snicker "good one Trevor!"

Joao and Beau take the lead following after, whatever the heck that thing is and I follow in third and the others follow after us "be careful guys, let's not get too close and also remember the traps"

Celina calls out from behind us, "guys! stop! we're approaching the forbidden zone Instructor Harry told us about"

We all slow to a stop and watch the thing make an escape into the forbidden zone "well, guess that's the end of that, let's go back, maybe we can ask the instructor if he has any idea what it is because it seems to be quite familiar with the area, perhaps it's native" "point taken, let's head back then, what time is it anyway?" "almost 21:00" "whaaaaaaat? we've been here that long?!" "yep" "guys let's get goi- Beau behind you!" I rush to him as something reaches for him from behind and grabs his foot I manage to catch his hand and it pulls the both of us into the forbidden zone.

"Guys! get help! follow the foot path, the most worn out trek is the trail back!" I shiver as we pass through into the zone, it's like frost from your bones out.
