Chapter 150

She chuckles then reaches out her hand and rubs it along my hand and my arm begins to decay, I grab her by the throat “what the fuck are you doing Cass?” she bites her lip staring at me “mmm I do love it when a man takes control, I love it rough!” she practically growled out.

She touched my arm again and it slowly returned to it’s normal form and it is then I release her, she holds her throat and keeps her eyes on me, I see nothing but desire in them and chuckle shaking my head “Simon would be very hurt if he saw you right now Cass”

“Simon is beneath me Lord Umi, the only one worthy of me, of my body and everything I have to offer is you”

I may be an under lord, the lowest of the low, perhaps the scum of the earth but even I know this is extraordinarily despicable “after that man risked his life for you and then came to the death plains looking for you and brought you back you would say something like that, what kind of a heartless being are you?!”

“That is exactly what I am right now my Lord”

I raise an eyebrow, “what do you mean?” “A heartless being, that is indeed what I am, which makes me better than ever, I have lost that thing that has kept me back all these years, I can be stabbed in the chest right now and I’d be perfectly fine, why you ask, because I have no heart! Isn't that great!”

I am at a loss for words right now then it dawned on me “you met the Minx and traded your heart didn’t you”

She circles me touching me as she goes “very cleaver you are my Lord, always have been” “so even if Simon hadn’t come for you, you would have come back on your own but of all things why your heart?”

“Because my dear Lord, it was that heart of mine that got me into all the trouble before, now that it’s gone I can use my rational mind to make judgement going forward”

“Does Simon know what you did Cass?”

“What need is it for him to be privy to this information, at this point, he is simply a means to an end, that is all”

I suppose now would be a good time to tell her that Simon had been behind her for most of our conversation but stood in the shadows behind the door, she is not of wolf decent like I am so she would not see or sense him like I can.

“I do have a request though” “oh and what is that?” “I will offer you my help, whether or not you accept it, to prove my worth and usefulness to you and in exchange, when you have over let me reign beside you” I laugh

“So that is your end game then huh, you want to rule”

“Rule, not really, I just want to be beside you my Lord, I’ve wanted you for quite a long time you see but buried it away, my feelings I mean but now that my heart is gone I can openly say what I want and that is undoubtedly you”

She stands in front of me once more this time dropping her clothes, revealing her bare self to me, I keep my eyes on her face, not looking down then look past her.

“This is what you went into the death plains and brought back Simon, congratulations you came back with a harlot”

Her eyes widen and she scrambles to pick her clothes up off the floor and put them back on before turning around “Simon, darling this isn’t what it looks like I swear, I mean how long have you been there?”

“Long enough to know that I am merely a means to an end and that you are nothing but an empty shell”

She turns back to be with an accusatory look in her eyes “You knew he was there all along didn’t you!”

“Of course I knew, I also knew very well what you’re made of I just wanted him to know it too Cass 2.0”

Her eyes well up with water “how could you do this to me, I just want to help you my Lord”

“If you truly wanted to help me, you would offer your help with no strings attached Cass 2.0, any assistance that comes with conditions is by no means genuine! Do come and find me when you’re finally serious”

She storms out of the room without so much as casting a glance at Simon, he stands by the door and opens it “ I am sorry my Lord, I failed to see the truth or perhaps I tried to be blind to it but now I know and I will most certainly learn and do better, there will not be a next time.”
