Chapter 159

We both rush through the portal and close it “Gyahan! Winter Ward!” One lady comes running then from a gust of snow the Winter Wards show up “it is bad my lords! The Dark Ones are back! They even made contact with a Darcrow! The skies in in the outer world are being covered by hellfire!”

The shock on all their faces “that is impossible! We-we captured and descended all of the Darcrows ourselves your majesty and banished them to the deepest part of the underworld!” “unless, unless someone went into the underworld and brought one back! That is a very strong possibility my lords” “that is blasphemous! And necromancy! We need to go and see for ourselves!”

The Empress once again opens and portal and we all go through it, it’s right out in the yard where they could get the full view of the fire”  “by the God’s this is the work or a Darcrow and not just any Darcrow, this essence is the essence of Reina, she is the darkest of the witches that converted all those years ago, she was the most difficult to descend, I can not believe someone got her out!”

We all go back through the portal again, the entire compound is empty in the Royal courtyard when we got there and when we left “I need to see my mate” “of course Gyahan, please lead him to them” “yes your majesty” as I follow her I hear the Winter Wards say “we will need to lend them a helping hand your majesty, they can not fight on their own against the Dark Ones plus Reina”

I am out of ear shot before I can hear the Empresses reply to them Gyahan unlocks the door and opens it for me to step into the room then softly closes the door behind me, they are both still asleep, the baby is bigger than when I last her but she is still asleep on my mate.

I take hold of my mates hand and kiss it while taking in her scent “my love, the enemy has made their move, it would seem that the war has come to us and it is about to begin right in the Royal City, I do not know if I will come back to you but just know that I love you with my all Azealia Milva and always will, you and this little one”

I stand up and kiss them both on the forehead with tears in my eyes, for the first time in my life I am afraid to die, I do not want to leave my mate alone in the world, I want to grow old with this she-wolf.

I wipe my eyes and open the door, I look back at them sleeping and close the door behind me “thank you Gyahan, keep them safe for me will you” she smiles sadly at me “of course I will your highness, everything will be alright” I nod at her and leave in search of the Empress and the others.

I find them all still conversing among themselves, they stop talking and look at me as I approach, the Empress is the first to speak “why do you look like you’ve already given up son?” “given up? Never, it is just difficult to think of the possibility that I can leave them behind but I will never give up”

“We will think of a way to try and help you with this because it is beyond your capabilities to deal with what is come do not fear”

She opens a portal for me “go and make your preparations son, help is here when you need it” I nod “thank you” then go through the portal back into my office “where the hell did you come from?” Cory and Carson were standing at my office door “I went to see my mate and baby”

“Baby?!” “yes, what is it that you needed?” “when did-” “Cory, what do you need?” he stops his questioning about the baby and clears his throat, things have not gone back to the way it was before things with Alessia, he has yet to apologize for his disrespectful behaviour and I have kept my distance since then.

Carson speaks up “we wanted to know what the plan was your highness, so far the other side has not made a move so we wanted to know what you’re thinking, Harry should be here soon too to discuss tactic” “okay, well let’s wait for him before we begin the discussion”

I sit in my seat at my desk and grab a pencil as well as a map of the territory, trying to work out mentally what is what and where I think our border weakness would be so we can strengthen the borders and put up defences.

‘Human’ ‘what is it Hunter’ ‘my mate, she’s trying to reach out to me’ ‘what? Piper is?’ he doesn’t respond ‘Hunter?’ he does not respond once again Harry knocks and comes into the office “come and sit Harry, we need to work on a tactic” ‘human’ “one second guys” ‘yes Hunter’  ‘Piper says that her human made plans and hide outs around the pack, go to her room in the box in her closet and everything is there’ I smile.

I get up from my desk “I’ll be right back!” I rush out of the office leaving the door open behind me and take the elevator down to her floor, I get into her room and go into her closet and see the box, I pick it up and leave her room closing the door behind me and running back to elevator, once I get back to my office and put the box down on the table.

“Is everything okay my King?” Harry asks “it would seem that my mate was planning ahead of us” they all come over as I open the box, I take the sheets of paper from the box and read them, she has mapped out the borders “when did she have time to do all this mapping?” Carson asks “I saw her on early mornings going into the forest but I never imagined this is what she was doing” answers Harry as he takes another sheet of paper and looks at it.
