Chapter 183

Finally the memorial day arrives, I decided to do it in such a way to honour the guards that made it, as well as a graduation for the trainees who came to the pack, including myself then have the memorial tribute after.

Tyler decided to house everyone for Two days and have the coronation on the second day to avoid the hassle of having the Alpha’s leave their packs again.

The service will be broadcasted through all the packs so those who are unable to attend can still view it and the same with the coronation, also at the coronation we will present our little Pheonix as the Crown Princess to the throne.

“Is everything ready?”

“Yes your highness, you look so great in your graduation outfit!”

“Thank you”

Once I ensure everything is set I go and take my seat beside the other graduates, we set up an area at the back of the castle with a stage as well as tents so the attendees would be out of the sun, everything runs smoothly, we all make our way to the stage one by one to collect our plaques and cheer for each other as we cross the stage, when my name is called and I get to the stage the entire ceremony erupts in clapping and whistles, it truly is an emotional moment for me who always thought of myself as an insignificant being.

So I wave at the crowd after accepting my plaque and make my way back to my seat to keep the cheering going until the last graduate crosses the stage “now we move onto the memorial tributes, we invite Azealia Milva to open for us”

I get to the stage after passing my plaque to my Dad “good afternoon everyone, my name as mentioned is Azealia Milva, today I am a graduate along with many others here who has seen the face of war, see the pain, loss and devastation it causes and even more so for the ones who are left behind, if you look behind me you will see the faces of the ones who were unable to walk across the stage with us today and we do pray they are safe is the hands of our God’s and are at rest, at this time to commemorate their sacrifice and achievements we wish to honour them by having a family member walk the stage and collecting their tablet as well as a medal of honour, as I call their names, please someone from the family come to the stage”

One by one I call their names and members come to the stage to collect their belongings as well as a card written by Tyler and myself along with a cheque, I give each person a hug and a touch of healing for their broken hearts as they come to me, Tyler also shakes their hand before handing them the memorial tablets and envelope.

Once the last person leaves the stage and get’s back to her seat I speak into the microphone once more, “tomorrow will be a day of mourning, we ask that everyone honours this day and wear black to show reverence as we all mourn together with the other families, then the day after will be the Royal Coronation, so we can all go home drunk!” I say which makes everyone laugh.

“I honestly hope we never have to face another war in our lifetimes, it is too hard to deal with the aftermath and the witnessing the pains first hand is certainly not easy, so I hope we can all try to get along with each other and do things peacefully going forward, we all may be of different packs but we are all from the same Gods, do let peace reign”

Everyone claps and hoots as I finish my speech then we head to the afternoon luncheon to meet, greet and eat.

The day of mourning passes without a hitch and now I am a bundle of nerves, the coronation is like a wedding! Gods help me!

“Here’s our little princess!” I turn to see my mom bringing Pheonix in, she in a pretty dress that has the same colours as my own with bows on her pigtails and a pair of gold shoes on her feet with frilled socks “look at you my little munchkin! Aren’t you the sweetest!” she giggles and throws her arms up.

“And look at you my munchkin” my mom says to me “aren’t you as beautiful as you can be my pup” her eyes water and I hug her “don’t start crying or you’d make me cry and mess up the stylists hard work” “oh nonsense you’re as beautiful as a swan they didn’t have much to do” I shake my head smiling at her.

*knock knock* “Azealia it’s time to go” my Dad’s voice calls from outside “we’re coming” I open the door and he stare at me before pulling me into a hug “you look beautiful” “thank you”
