Chapter Sixteen

Two weeks later.

Maryanne was so excited about her next lesson. She assumed that Alpha Avraz's story was interesting, but the next Alpha's story was more. She was excited to learn all about Calhoun and his history.

Calhoun would always stand on the balcony and watch her train. He could see how well she was doing and it made him happy. Most times, he would leave the other things he had to do just to watch her train in the backyard.

"Lady An, you are doing a great job! I'm so proud of you!"

"Thank you lady Itzel."

She finished her training for the day and returned to her room. Tanya was there to serve her dinner.

"Where is Calhoun?" She asked.

"Alpha Calhoun has gone out to fight," Tanya said. "He said I should refrain from telling you so that you would not get worried."

She nodded. "Thank you, Tanya."

Tanya nodded. "Anything else you might need, lady An?"
