"I will take my leave now. Please ensure you don't stress yourself, okay?" Alpha Maxwell said, touched her chin and headed to the exit of the office.

"Alpha… Maxwell." Xenia called, and he paused, turned with a smile and looked at her.

"Yes, my Luna." He replied.

"Thank you so much for your support." Xenia beamed.

"Yeah, always." Maxwell winked at her before finally leaving.

She sighed and stared at the sword in her hand, and then her throne that Maxwell had it designed for her.

"Guards!" Xenia called and they came rushing in full speed.

"You called for us? Your highness?" They asked.

"Yes, can you please summon Beta Dimitri to me? Tell him is urgent." Xenia ordered calmly.

"Sure, your highness." They bowed and left.

She waited at her new office and stood by the window side admiring the beautiful sight of the big city of Red claw's pack right through her office.

A soft knock was heard.

"Come in, please." Xenia replied, and the door opened, revealing Beta Dimitri.

"Good day, Luna. You summoned for me?" He asked.

Xenia returned to her seat and sat down.

"Yes, please have a seat." Xenia answered and he obeyed.

"I and Alpha Maxwell had decided to bring an end the women auctioning in this pack, and I need your support." Xenia stated.

Dimitri chuckled.

"So, Maxwell really did agree to your demand?" Dimitri said.

"I was surprised he did." Xenia replied.

"Well, I must commend you, you are so brave for thinking you can change a tradition that existed for ages overnight " Dimitri said and Xenia found his commendation as sarcastic.

"Beta, what do you think is the fastest means of spreading information to the people of this pack?" Xenia inquired, folding her hands and directing her gaze towards him.

"Through the newspapers and town carriers." Beta Dimitri responded.

"Great. I need you to reach this information to the hearings of the people that the auctioning market has been shut down and women, children or even men auctioning, as long as the auctioning has to do with living things are banned henceforth. And anyone caught will face severe punishment." Xenia exclaimed.

Beta Dimitri glanced at her and saw seriousness in her eyes.

"Are you sure you want to do this? Are you ready for this? Luna Xenia, you know, I'm not against your decision at all. I respect your human treatment and I also respect the fact that you would like to bring the positive changes to the pack been the holder of the sword of power, but how do you think you can easily change the people's perspective about something they already felt is right and not wrong in anyway?" Beta Dimitri questioned.

"Even the past Alpha's do engaged in the auctioning market, and they would either use the ladies as sex slaves, concubines, or dancers. You understand what I mean? If the past Alpha's had participated in the activities, how can you tell the people that is suddenly wrong?" He added.

Xenia sighed.

"I don't know how to, Dimitri, but I do know that with your support and Alpha Dimitri's support, I will be able to achieve this. As long as you also feel this tradition shouldn't be continued. Beta Dimitri, will you support me in this?" Xenia asked.

Dimitri looked at her and heaved a big sighed.

"I will support you, Luna." He smiled.

"Thank you so much Beta Dimitri. I promise you, it won't be easy, but we won't give up, okay?" Xenia asked.

"Okay, I will have full fate in you this time, and if this works out, I promise you a big jar of lemonade." Dimitri said, making her laughed.

"Great, so, I will go and deliver your order right away." He added and bowed before he left.

Xenia prayed silently that it goes out as she planned, and decided to check on Anabelle.

She went to the room where Roselyn took Anabelle, and there, she met Roselyn outside the room.

"How is Anabelle?" Xenia asked, calmly placing her hand on the wall for support.

"She hasn't said a word. She was just staring deeply at one spot and had refused to eat anything." Roselyn answered.

"It's seems like her stepfather had really made her go through a lot. I can see it in her eyes." Roselyn said again.

"It's okay, I will talk to Anabelle and see if there is a way I can help her." Xenia replied with a nod and entered the room.

Just as Roselyn told her, Anabelle was staring at a spot when she entered.

She didn't even notice Xenia's presence until she felt a tab on her lap.

"Your… your highness." She flinched.

"For how long are you going to cry, Anabelle?" Xenia asked.

"He is a monster, I know he will do anything to get me back. You don't know how wicked he is." Anabelle cried.

"Tell me." Xenia said.

Anabelle wiped her tears, her eyes full of pains and her chest heavy.

"My Father was wealthy, he died after a short illness and my Mom had to be moved on and after his death, she was depressed, but after she met Martin, she was back been happy. I didn't want to support her in the marriage because I always thought Martin was a fake pretender, but she was happy, and I wanted her to be happy, so I gave them my blessings and they got married. My Mom and I inherited Dad's Money as we were his only family, until my Mom had a sudden stroke and died, leaving Martin and me." Anabelle sniffed and cried even more.

Xenia comforted her as their stories were similar.

"He took me under his custody and promised to treat me right, but… but he never did, it was miseries upon miseries, maltreatment, beating, Insults. He was partying with my money and clubbing and spending them on useless stuffs and never cared for me at all." She paused, as the tears were chocking her throat.

"He…" She was about to continue when the door burst opened.

Beta Dimitri rushed in, looking scared.

"Beta Dimitri, is everything alright?" Xenia asked.

"No, Luna, a protest has broken down in the entire pack, they are all against the new law." He answered.

"Oh my God." Xenia muttered, looking down.
