CHAPTER 9

Aria

Catherine told me how she utilized her abilities to enter my room without my knowledge. It seemed ridiculous, and I was never willing to do something like that.

"I will need you to unlock the door so I may enter with my body now," she added, and I averted my gaze.

I wasn't ready for another scary explanation, so I did what she said.

"Good girl, but I do not like how you sleep like a pregnant lady," she continued, and I prayed I was not.

“Could that be possible?" I whispered.

"No, the soul severing you performed would prevent you from bearing Claus's kid because your blood cursed his," Catherine stated, and I felt comforted.

I quickly grabbed my hot cup and boiled some water to make Catherine tea. I am not sure why she had to put a green leaf in the cup before sipping from it.

“Is that supposed to tell whether I poisoned you or something?" I asked.

“No, I saw how you did everything already. This is just something that provides me enough strength," she said.
