CHAPTER 1: VISITORS

The day Mr martin has been avoiding so much had already arrived. He had no idea how to approach his daughter and inform her about the visitors that he was expecting. Well her daughter is involved as much as he was. Mr Martin has no choice but to go tell her to get prepared. What the visitors were coming to discuss with them, is more important to his daughter and there was no way he could have done it behind her back. Although her consent and decision matters, Mr Martin will have to force her so that everything goes as he had planned or wanted. He climbed the stairs and walked to the corridor that leads to her room.

“Young girl!” Mr. Martin hollowed from the corridors. “Don't tell me you are still sleeping,” he added.

It was already 9 o'clock in the morning and Ivana was yet to wake up. After graduating, she has been sleeping so much lately. Just maybe, to cover up her sleep that she lost while reading. She spent sleepless night to read so that she can achieve the honor that her father wanted her to acquire, a first class honor in Economics and commerce.

“What do you want to do, dad? I have nothing to do,” Ivana Said the moment she opened the door.

Mr. Martin glared at her, “I want you to get prepared, we have the visitors today,” He informed.

“Visitors? What visitors?” She inquired. “I don't have visitors today and if they are your visitors, that has nothing to do with me.”

“We have visitors, the Wechulis,” Mr. Martin retorted.

“Uhm.....your business partners, right? What does that have to do with me, dad?” Ivana asked with raised brows. “If I remember correctly you refused to employ me in your company, the only thing you want of me is to marry me off.”

Mr. Martin sighed, he bent his head in shame then raised it and stared at her.

“It has everything to do with you, princess. We have visitors and I want you to be ready when they arrive.”

“I don't understand, please elaborate,” Ivana inquired with her hands akimbo…

“Just do as I say,” He said, then climbed down the stairs.

Ivana was speechless as she stared at her dad climb down the stairs. She smirked then returned to her room.

It has been three months since she graduated, his father had declined hiring her as an intern in his company. So, Ivana has been idling around in the house, wondering the future of her life.

“I better prepare, maybe he had decided to hire me, and he is just testing me,” She thought as she snuggled back in the duvet.

Mr. Martin instructed the workers and maids in what to do and cook. They are important visitors that he had partnered with them in business, perhaps they had merged their companies, and now they are working together.
