Natasha’s POV.

It has been a week since we got back. A whole week in the same house, yet I hadn’t seen Slyvester once.

He left before I woke up. Came back after I had gone to bed. I never heard the door to his room open, never heard his footsteps down the hall.

The only way I knew he was still here at all was the way his study light sometimes bled under the door late at night.

Even the sound of the butler walking past my door had become more familiar than Sylvester’s voice.

I really didn't feel it that much kmwoinh I didn’t belong in that house. Not really. It felt like I had slipped into someone else’s life and they were going to come back and ask me to leave.

There was no warmth, no conversation and no sign that anyone cared whether I was adjusting or drowning. And honestly, I couldn’t tell which one it was anymore.

So, I left.

I didn’t tell anyone or wait for permission or approval. I just got dressed, called a cab, and told the driver to take me to my parents' place.

Henry’s POV.I paced around the living room unable to think or even come to a conclusion on what to do. Jenna lay dead there in front of me, my body shaking with regret. “No. I can't go to jail. No one can know I did this. I need to do something. I need to cover this up,” I said to myself as I tried to think of something. Then I remembered Marcus who had always been so loyal to me. He will do it if I tell him. There was nothing he wouldn't do for me whenever I asked.I reached for my phone, hands shaking violently as I dialed him, my voice barely a whisper when he answered. “Hello, Sir. Have you found Jenna?” He asked.Yes, but I need you to show up right now at my penthouse. Be fast,” I said and ended the call without waiting for him to give any excuse in case he had any.It didn't reach thirty minutes before Marcus arrived. He froze when he saw Jenna still on the floor in the pool of her blood.“W—What happened?” He stammered filled with fear.“It was a mistake, Marcus. We were ar

  • Marrying The Domineering Billionaire In My Sister’s Place   CHAPTER 165.

Henry’s POV.The ride back to my house was quiet as Jenna sat rigid in the passenger seat. I could feel the tension radiating off her, the tiny tremor in her hands resting in her lap, and the way her eyes darted to every shadow, every streetlamp as though the night itself were a threat. I felt a satisfaction deep in my chest at having her under my control again, knowing she had no place to run and no one to turn to.I glanced at her sideways, watching her fingers twitch as she clenched them together, trying to contain the shaking of her hands. I could feel the heat of my own anger, my mind spinning with the knowledge that she had tried to outsmart me, that if Marcus had been the one to leak her plan, everything she had on me would have been already exposed to the police and I would be arrested.“You know,” I said quietly. “I am not going to tolerate half-truths or silence from you, Jenna. Everything you have planned, everything you have done, I want It's all. I want to hear it from

Henry’s POV.I paced back and forth in the living room. The weight of my own frustration pressed against my chest. Anger burned in my veins at myself for having let Jenna go in the first place, for trusting her to play along, follow my plan, and do what I knew she had to do.Since that day, she had disappeared completely, cutting every single line of contact, leaving no trace for me to follow.I had sent my men to search her apartment, thinking she might have stayed somewhere nearby, that she could not have gotten far. They had come back empty-handed, reporting nothing. I felt my temper rise, clenching my fists as I tried to imagine where she could have gone, who she might have turned to, and how she could have outsmarted me.I stopped pacing for a moment, leaning against the staircase railing, trying to calm the storm of thoughts in my head. My phone buzzed. It was Marcus. My chest tightened as I answered. His voice came through the line steady but cautious.“I’ve found her,” Marc

Jenna’s POV.The apartment I found and rented was small, barely enough space for a bed and a table, but it would be where I would be staying until I figured out how to get Henry out of my way. I had stripped it of any trace of who I was, leaving no name, no address that could be traced back to me. The walls were bare, and the blinds were closed tight. It wasn't something comfortable but it was better than being under Henry’s watchful gaze. For the first time in a week, I breathed without looking over my shoulder, and the freedom, even if temporary, felt electric.I sank onto the edge of the bed, my hands shaking slightly as I pulled out my phone. I stared at it for a long moment, thinking about how I had finally outsmarted Henry, how I had walked out of his clutches with my head held high even if my heart had thumped like a drum against my ribs. I had played the part of the broken girl well enough for him to believe he had won me back, and now the tables were mine to turn.I whis

Jenna’s POV.The days stretched into a long blur, and before I realized it, a week had passed since Henry locked me away. I could not keep track of time properly inside that house, the curtains always drawn, the silence only broken by his footsteps when he came to see me. The fear he left in his wake sat with me longer than his presence, a cold reminder that I was not free. I was terrified of him, of the way his eyes never softened when they looked at me, of the way his words struck harder than his fists. He was distant, cruel, and menacing in every way that mattered, and I felt myself shrinking more and more each day.Whenever he came, his questions repeated themselves, circling back to Sylvester as if the only thing that mattered to him was breaking my loyalty. He demanded that I give up, that I denounce what I felt for Sylvester, and when I refused, he would strike me or grab me until my body ached. He said I would never leave unless I agreed to his terms, unless I signed the c

Sylvester’s POV.I was furious, and I could feel it in the way my chest rose and fell as if I could hardly contain the storm building inside me. I could not bring myself to wrap my head around what I had just discovered Jenna had done, and no matter how many times I turned it over in my thoughts, it refused to settle into something I could understand. My marriage with Natasha was already hanging by a thread, and yet Jenna had taken it upon herself to cut deeper into it until it felt beyond repair.Yes, I was angry at Natasha. I would not deny that, because part of me could not believe she had allowed herself to be swayed to such a point that she did not even stop to ask me first, did not give me the benefit of doubt that a woman who truly loved her husband should give, but deep down, beneath all that disappointment, I knew it was Jenna who had planted those seeds, watered them, and stood by waiting for them to sprout into this disaster. At that instant I no longer saw her as a frie
