Chapter Fourteen: Lyzaria

"Go away."

"I want to talk to you—"

"I said go away."

"Please—"

"Gods just leave me alone!"

I breathe a sigh of annoyance. "Fara just listen to what he has to say, we'll be leaving soon anyway," I tell her.

She growls under her breath but says nothing more as she follows the boy into the hallway. I turn back to my son, currently splayed out on the floor.

"Are you okay?"

"No."

I frown a little when he continues staring at the ceiling. "Are you going to tell me why?"

He lets out a heavy breath then starts chewing on his lip. "I miss home," he finally admits, glancing over at me. "This place is like a war zone when the monsters come, and I feel like the village idiot all the time."

The pain on his face makes my dragon growl. "This place is very different from dragon or wolf territory. The culture and environment here are the most diverse of all the territories and it's what makes them so powerful.
