Sharlynn stood in front of the largest building she had ever seen in Hollow hills and wondered if she was in the right place. She didn't think that Kyle lived there, he didn't strike her as the extremely rich type even though he had the pride for it.She touched the thick iron Gates and saw strange inscriptions on it along with subtle illustrations of wolves on the gate. Later that night after Sharlynn's mom came back from the hospital where she'd been working, Sharlynn thought about how she would tell her mom that she was going to a party. After thinking long and hard about it, she decided she would just dress up for the party, and then when her mom sees how psyched she is to attend the party she would let her go.The thought of opening her closet made her unhappy because her clothes weren't much anymore. The atmosphere was so tense as Darren drove Sharlynn to the Ridge residence. Darren had the best night of his life while he was with Sharlynn, they spent the whole night talking, kissing, and cuddling but even though he wanted more, he didn't want to rush her. With the way they couldn't seem to get enough of each other Darren wasn't sure if they would even sleep at all, but when Sharlynn finally slept he followed suit and had a good night's sleep for the first time in fifty years.He usually had nightmares about his five-year-old self being torn from his mother and condemned to death by burning and when he woke up from such nightmares, he would be so uncomfortable.Today was however different. Darren looked at the faces of everyone gathered in the basement of their house. The sun seemed to scorch everyone's skin as they headed back to the Toody's basement. They defeated Aveera temporarily - it would've been permanent if they had seen her body by the time they went back into the almost destroyed cave. Hey guys, I hope that so far you've enjoyed the first twenty one chapters. So far, I've been writing this book from the narrator's POV and I've not been writing often from Sharlynn's POV or Darren's. I've done that probably once and it wasn't for very long but now I'd like you inform you all that that would be happening soon ( for those of you who prefer that narrative angle:-) ) So, from here on, I'm going to be writing more often from Sharlynn's POV and that of the other main characters because I want to fully be able to show you exactly how they all reason and what happens in their head.
