7. Noah VS Damien (I)

I watched in shock as Noah claimed that I was his girl.

“Your girl? And who the fuck do you think you are to come in here and decide? I warned you didn’t I? This is my school and I rule it.” Damien retorted.

Both men were standing shoulder to shoulder, face to face and glaring at one another. They were both intimidating and no one was ready to back down for the other.

Damien's father had a lot of influence in the academy whereas I didn’t know much about Noah. Since he resides in a mansion, he might be from a wealthy family and also a strong pack but I didn’t know much about him so I didn’t want him to get into any trouble because of me.

Damien Randolph is the most feared person in this school. Even the headmistress cannot do anything to him. There was already a lot surrounding me and I didn’t want anything else to happen because I had just gotten a second chance to continue in the academy.

I had no reason as to why the headmistress gave me a second chance but I didn’t want to take the opportunity for granted.

“Do I give a fuck? I don’t and I told you not to push me.” Noah let go of Damien’s hand.

He put his born hands respectively in his pants pocket as he kept staring at Damien. “You can be the son of the supreme ruler and I won’t still give a fuck about you. I have warned you, Astrid is my girl and if anyone comes for her, they’ve come for me. Don’t in any way, look at her, touch her or even try to bully her because I won’t hesitate to break every bone in your body and prepare for the consequences.”

I was stunned. The way he spoke was calm, soothing and also serious at the same time. I found it so attractive. No one has ever spoken to Damien or stood up to him and for the first time someone was doing so and for my sake too.

“What is your name again?” Damien asked.

I was surprised that Damien had not already thrown a punch at Noah because he was good at that. He would beat anyone that doesn’t do what he wants talkmore of someone challenging him.

I wasn’t the only one surprised. Everyone present was just as surprised as I was.

“I don’t have to tell you my name twice. If you don’t recall it then the safer it will be for you but let this be the last time that you ever touch my girl, is that clear?” Noah warned.

“What’s going on here?” It was Adriana.

She walked her way towards us and everyone circling us gave her space to come in.

“Oh hey Noah, it’s nice to meet you again.” Adriana said to him and seeing how she was reacting to him with a big smile on her face then she must know him or something about him at least and that won’t be surprising since her mom is the headmistress.

“What’s going on Damien?” Adriana asked again.

Noah took a hold of my wrist. I looked at him with a surprising look on my face. “Come on, let’s go.” He said to me.

Just as we were about to leave, I felt Noah pull away from me and it was only after I heard a loud crash that I realized that Damien had pulled Noah back and punched him hard on his face.

The impact of the punch on Noah left a small cut on his lip with blood dripping out.

Noah pulled Noah towards him and returned the same action, surprising everyone because unlike what Damien’s punch did to Noah, Damien fell to the floor after he was punched by Noah.

“Oh my goodness!” I heard the whisper of a female student.

“Did you see that?” Another said.

“ He punched him hard.” More whispers amongst students.

“Damien is on the floor. The new boy seems strong.”

And that's how people kept whispering. Damien stood up on his feet to retaliate but was stopped when our homeroom teacher Mr. Issac entered the scene.

“What the hell is going on here?” He asked.

Everyone in the classroom dared not say a word. No one wanted to offend Damien and I knew that this was the start of a big rivalry because Damien was never going to let this go and Noah doesn’t seem fazed in any way.

“I asked a question and I demanded an answer. What just happened?” Mr Isaac asked again.

“You better watch your back because I promise that I will make it hell for you here before I send you packing .” Damien warned before walking out of the scene, ignoring Mr. Isaac like he wasn't there.

“Were you involved in this?” Mr. Isaac asked Noah.

“Mr Isaac, don’t you think you should know when it is that you mind your business?” Adriana interjected.

Adriana’s words were enough to keep Mr Isaac’s mouth shut. He walked out of the room turning blind eyes as usual.

“And what are you all looking at? Fucking go mind your business!” Adriana shouted and everyone did as told.

Noah walked out of the classroom and I attempted to go after him but failed to do so as Adriana put her leg on the way so that I’d trip and I almost fell on my face.

Everyone burst in a fit of laughter.

“Always clumsy, aren’t you? Now what do I do with you?” She clicked her tongue.

“Once I find out that you have a hand in what just happened earlier, I will make you pay for it and you know me too well to know that I don’t bluff.” She smirked at me before walking away.
