Chapter 8

The next few days, I have been a nervous wreck. After getting home with Elios in Ren's hoodie, Saige has been jumping off the walls in excitement for me. She's already trying to plan out what our kids' names could be and just the thought of having kids with Ren made my heart flip but we only just met. I had to calm her down several times and bring her back to reality with the help of Elijah. But one thing I do thank her for is pushing me to text him later that night; we eventually turned texting into talking over the phone and we were up until two in the morning which I regretted because I had to lead training at 6 in the morning.

But a whole week has gone by and Ren had asked me out on a date tonight. Our relationship compared to how Saige and Elijah were is extremely slow paced; they were in bed within days of knowing each other and Ren and I have managed to give each other space which isn't something I wanted. I would often catch myself growing anxious when he would run er
