Chapter 17: Punishment

"Isn't too bad to use the sweet rogue wolf, Marcus?" Noam asked Marcus as he opened another bottle of wine, while Marcus finished his third glass and took a sip before speaking.

"They didn't also have any mercy when they killed Ertha, Noam. So, why I should bother myself thinking if I am going to hurt her soon?" He spoke without emotion, but with a cold glare at the bottle in his hand.

"It's not Cassandra's fault that he have a rogue wolf blood. You have been so harsh on her." He responded and went back to drinking from his glass.

"Remember, she's not the one who killed your mate, Marcus."

"But she's a rogue wolf, and everyone with her blood should pay. She should suffer just like them!" Noam sighed, and put down his glass.

"Marcus," he said softly.

"I understand you're angry about what happened to Ertha, but you can't put the blame to all the rogue wolves. And who really told you that it's one of them whom killed Ertha? Are you really sure about it?" Marcus suddenly stopped.
