It's been two weeks since you broke your ankle and you and Zack broke up, you're heading for lunch with Ella as usual.
"How's the ankle?" Ella smiles.
"Oh, you know, still broken." You laugh.
"Sorry, I just feel awful still for having Zack in our dorm a few weeks ago." Ella explains.
"It's all good." You smile back.
"Oh, looks like lover boy wants to join us for dinner." Ella giggles, pointing to Nate whose stood behind you.
"Wait, whose lover boy?" You ask.
"Nate, are you two not a thing?" Ella questions.
"No, he just helps with my ankle." You explain.
"Please, he takes every opportunity to talk to you." Ella laughs.
"'Whatever, you're delusional." You laugh, Nate and Kain come strolling over.
"Ladies." Kain nods to you and Ella.
"I brought you a sandwich Olivia." Nate hands you the sandwich and slides into the table next to you.
"Thanks." You grin at him and begin unwrapping the sandwich.
"You two are adorable." Ella smirks.
"Ella!" You yell at her.
"What, Kain agrees." Ella giggles.
"Don't involve me in this." Kain mutters.
"I told you before, we are just friends." You explain to her.
"Sure, anyway I'd love to stay and chat but I have lunch detention, later wierdos." Ella laughs as she heads to detention. Ella and Kain disappear leaving you sat with Nate.
"I wanted to ask if you wanted to go to the movies with me." Nate smiles at you shyly.
"When?" You smile.
"Tonight." Nate beams
"Sure, I'd love to." You reply. You and Nate finish up lunch and head out to the quad.
You and Nate walk across the quad together, a few students are whispering. Your phone buzzes, you begin to fumble with your crutches dropping your phone, luckily it doesn't smash. Nate scoops your phone up off the floor and hands you it.
"Shoot, I missed a call off Sam." You dial Sam's number and call him back.
Phone conversation:
"Sam, what's wrong?"
"it's mom, you need to get here ASAP."
"Where's here?"
"Hospital."
"On my way."
You tuck your phone back into your pocket.
Back to the story...
"Is everything okay?" Nate asks.
"No, I need to go to the hospital, my mom's there." You feel yourself tearing up.
"Sure." You hurry Nate to his car, he gives you a ride to the hospital.
"Want me to come in with you?" Nate asks.
"Best not, Sam will flip, if I'm not out in half an hour come find me." You reply sadly.
"Sure." You peck Nate on the cheek and climb out the car.
You rush into the hospital, to the reception desk, they point you down the hallway, you dash down the long hospital corridor, white everywhere, you finally come across your moms room, you dash into her room.
"Mom!" You sob.
"Hi, sweetie." Your mom smiles at you.
"What happened?" You ask.
"I went to visit mom, to tell her about Madison and she collapsed." Sam explains.
"Is her illness back." You ask, giving Sam a concerned look.
"I think so." Sam replied.
"Oh." You look between your mom and Sam.
"I called Tara." Sam blurted out.
"Why?" You ask angrily, she hasn't been in your life for months.
"She grew up with us, she should know what's going on." Sam explains.
"She chose to cut me out of her life." You give him a sad look.
"She didn't do it on purpose." Sam remarked.
"Stop making excuses for her." You snap.
"I'm not doing this right now, mom's sick." You hear the door open.
"Sorry I'm late, I came as soon as you called." Tara glances at you but doesn't say anything.
"How's she doing?" Tara asks.
"Not good." Sam replies.
"Oh." Tara looks sad.
"I think we should let her rest, should we go for a catch up?" Sam asks her.
"That would be nice." Tara smiles.
"You'll come to right Olivia?" Sam gives you a pleading look.
"Sure." You head to the hospitals cafeteria.
You hobble up to the counter on your crutches.
"Go sit, I'll get it." That's the first time he's had an ounce of concern about your leg, you give him a smile and head to a table, Tara joins you, once drinks are ordered so does Sam.
"How's things with you and Zack?" Tara asks.
"We broke up." You reply emotionless.
"Why?" Tara looks at you shocked.
"He cheated on me with Taylor." You reply.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Tara gave you a sympathetic look.
"It's okay." You give her a reassuring smile.
"So are you dating Nate now, I saw him in the parking lot on the way in." Tara asks.
"No." You dismiss the idea. Sam excuses himself to take a call.
"I reckon you and Nate would make a great couple." Tara smiles.
"A lot has happened since you left." You reply.
"I know, I'm sorry, I wanted to stay but my major wasn't available here." Tara explained.
"Any boyfriends on the scene?" You ask, curious.
"After Sam and I broke up, it hit me a little hard, but then I met Sasha and she changed my life, she's been great." Tara explained.
"What happened to your leg?" Tara asks, looking down at your cast.
"Taylor busted my ankle at cheer practice." You explain.
"Why did she do that?" Tara asked.
"Because she's Taylor." You laugh.
"Fair enough." Tara laughs.
Sam returns from his phone call, he seemed angry.
"Outside now, I need to show you something." You roll your eyes and follow Sam to the parking lot.
"Why is Nate's care here?" Sam snaps.
"How should I know?" You lied.
"If you're seeing him in secret, I swear I'll hurt him." You hear a whimper, you look to your left to see a dog limping.
"Are you hurt puppy?" You look the dog over.
"It's a wolf and why is it by the hospital?" Sam remarks, Sam glares at it.
"He's hurt." Sam explains. Tara emerges from inside.
"Is everything okay?" Tara asks.
"No, this wolf is injured." You reply sadly.
"Bring it to my van and I'll take a look." Tara smiles.
You hurry to Tara's van, carrying the wolf in your arms, the wolfs eyes look familiar. Nate?
"It just looks like a sprain, it should be fine in a week." She smiles.
"Thanks, T." You beam at her.
"You're welcome, maybe we could catch up tonight, movies perhaps?" She suggests.
"Erm..." You're lost for words.
The wolf hops out of the van and runs off into the brush, about five minutes later, Nate appears.
"Tara, Sam, Olivia." He smiles at the three of you.
"What are you doing here?" Sam snaps at him.
"I've been here the whole time, I was waiting for Olivia in the car." Nate laughs, Nate glances at you a moment. You notice his hand, sprained. How did he sprain his wrist?
"Nice to see you, I was just asking if Olivia wanted to catch up tonight." Tara smiles.
"We could rain check if you want." Nate suggests.
"Maybe she could tag along." You smile.
"NO!" Before you have chance to respond, Sam grabs you and drags you to his truck.
"You're going to stay away from Nate." Sam instructed.
"What is your problem?" You snap back.
"Him." Sam still raging.
"You killed his dad so I guess we are even." Your words pierce into Sam.
"besides the point." Sam locks the door and drives off.
"You could have let me say goodbye to Tara." You complain.
"Not when Nate's around." Sam snaps again.
"Nate has done so much for me, he's helped with my ankle so much." You explain.
"I don't give a fuck what he has done, you stay away from him." Sam accelerates faster.
"Stop the car Sam!" You try to reason with him.
Sam tightens his grip on the wheel.
"I said stop the damn car!" You scream at him.
Sam veers around a corner, he looses control of the car and you go plummeting off a cliff.
"SAM!" Everything goes black.
You wake up and try to turn your head but your neck hurts, you try to reach for your phone but your hand is in pain. I'm in so much pain, where's Sam? You try to call out. "SAM!" I have to get out of here. You think of something that makes you so angry, you finally did, you turned into a werewolf. You kick the glass out of the windscreen and climb out. You head out to find help. You only last in wolf form for a few seconds, the pain is too much for you to focus, you're hobbling up the highway. I don't know this area. You reach a small café out of town. You bump into a familiar face.
"We have to stop meeting like this." The werewolf laughed.
"Hi." You remark, he looks you over.
"What happened?" He asks, concerned.
"Sam crashed his car and left me there." You explain.
"Crap, let me make a call." He leaves to make a call. He returns a few minutes later.
"Your ride will be here soon, let me get you something to drink." He smiles and heads into the café.
You sit there, the werewolf brings you some water, fifteen minutes later you see a familiar truck pulling into the parking lot. "Nate!" He wraps you into a hug.
"Are you okay?" He asks, still having you pressed against him.
"I don't feel okay, a little dizzy." You reply.
"Let's get you to the hospital to get checked out." Nate grabs your hand and helps you into the truck.
"No, no hospital, just take me back to college." You insist.
"Ella can't see you like this." He replies.
"Please, Nate." You reason with him. Nate obliges and climbs into his truck, without another word he drives you back to campus.
"Rain check on the movies?" You remark sadly.
"Of course, come on." Nate replies. Nate helps you into your dorm, you see Ella sat on her bed.
"What happened?" Ella exclaims.
"Sam happened, I need you to go and get me some antiseptic please, take some money and go to the pharmacy, I'm gonna help her get comfortable." Nate explains.
"Do you want to take the spare bed. I'll sleep in Kain's dorm?" Ella insists.
"Oh, that's up to Olivia, do you want me to stay?" Nate looks at you.
"Yes, please stay." You smile at Nate.
"Sure, whatever you want." Nate smiles at you.
"Can you call Tara and tell her what happened please." You ask him.
"sure." Nate steps out, leaving you alone so he can make a call to Tara.
"There, she wishes you well." Nate comes back in with the antiseptic in his hand. "It might sting a little." He begins gently wiping your cuts, you try your hardest to keep your claws retracted. "It's okay, you're okay." He reassures you.
"Thanks, I'm pretty exhausted." You remark.
"Sure, lets head to bed." You and Nate both head to bed.
The next morning Nate's in your dorm, he grabbed you breakfast.
"How are you feeling?" Nate asks.
"I haven't heard from Sam, which isn't surprising, mom's still in the hospital, I guess I'm okay considering." You reply.
"I'll support you through all of it I promise." Nate kisses your head.
"Thankyou." You smile at him.
"You should rest but I asked Ella to grab the work from classes you're missing, I also spoke with the dean, they've gave you the time to recover." Nate explains.
"Thankyou, again Nate." You smile at him.
"I have to go to football practice, I'll see you later." Nate places a kiss on your cheek and heads out.
You've been back at campus two weeks; Blake's been avoiding you which is super odd since you were close before the holidays. “Is it just me or has Blake been acting strange?” Oscar asked. “I've noticed that too.” You replied, a little concerned. “Weren't you two close before the break?” Nate questioned. “I thought we were, he hasn't spoken to me since we came back.” You sighed, sadly. “So go talk to him, find out what's going on.” Tara encourages you to talk to him. Before you can reply, Zack interrupts. “Don't bother, I can assure you he won't talk, I've tried talking to him, I got nowhere.” “But this is Olivia that will be speaking to him, maybe she will get somewhere.” Tara explained. “I'll text him, see if he wants to go for a coffee, we can talk then.” You remarked. “Good idea.” Tara replied. He reads it but doesn't reply. “I think he's mad at me, he's read it but not replied.” You explained. “It's fine, let him sulk, try to catch him after our practice.” Nate smiled.
You've arrived at Nate's for the holidays; his mom greets you. “Are you two looking forward to the holidays?” she hugs you as you enter the house. “Sort of, it's my first one alone” You sigh a little, remembering Sam and your mom aren’t here for the holidays. “I'm sorry Hunnie, I'll make it as fun as possible.” She hugs you. “Thankyou.” You give her a soft smile. “Why don't you two head upstairs and unpack, I'll work on dinner.” She nodded in the direction of the stairs. You and Nate head upstairs. “So, our first Christmas together as a couple.” Nate beams at you. “You don't have to make small talk, to try and make me feel better.” You smile, softly. “I know but I also know it's hard for you right now.” Nate sighed sadly. “As long as we have each other I'll be okay.” You reassured him. “I wanted to give you a gift early, to lighten the mood a little.” He smiled at you. “Oh erm, I brought yours, do you want one now?” You blush a little, showing him the nicely wrapped gift
You're back in the frat; you find Nate for the long-awaited conversation. “Can we talk? "You asked Nate. “Sure.” He smiled; you grab Nate's hand and pull him out of earshot of the group. “I was wondering if you wanted to get back together, like end the break?” You blurted quickly. “I've been waiting weeks for that question, yes!” He beamed. “I’m glad that’s settled.” You smile sweetly. “Did you manage to figure everything out?” Nate asked, curious. “I'm pretty sure I did, I realised I'm happiest with you.” You smiled at him again. “And I’m happiest when I’m with you.” Nate wraps you in a hug. “Taylor told me about the pool party.” You remarked. “My mom organised it.” Nate replied, sadly. “And she didn’t invite me?” You stare at him in shock. “She doesn’t like you.” Nate replied, quickly. “Oh.” You feel a bit of sadness wash over you. “I'm sure you can find a way to make her love you almost as much as I love you.” Nate smiled, reassuring you. Nate pulls you close, it fee
You arrive back at campus; you rush to the football field to find Nate. He looks worried. Nate spots you and gives you a sweet smile, you wave to him, you head for a seat and watch the rest of practice. He jogs over to you after practice is over, he wraps you in a hug. “I was so worried, what happened, tell me everything.” He looked at you panicked. “Let’s go back to Beta and I’ll tell you.” You remarked. Nate follows you back, he quickly changes and places himself next to you on the bed. “Who's behind the messages?” Nate asked, eagerly. “Ella.” You remarked. “What?” Nate stares at you. “Taylor was blackmailing her.” You continued. “Oh, and has Ella apologised?” Nate asked. “Yeah, it's all good, I'm gonna kill Taylor though.” You added, just at the mention of Taylor's name your blood boils. “So, the messages should stop now?” Nate asked, concerned. “I hope so.” You remarked. “Maybe everything can finally go the way we want it to.” Nate moves closer to you, love fills his ey
You were hanging out with Nate in his room in the Beta house, you had the last two weeks to think about everything and heal a little from the death of your mom and Sam. “How's things been?” Nate asked, carefully, rubbing the bottom of your back. “Okay, if I’m being honest.” You smiled, reassuringly. “Did you figure things out about us yet?” Nate asked, sheepishly. “Not quite, I will soon, it's been a lot to process.” You smile softly at him. “I understand.” Nate replied, a little hint of sadness in his voice. You head into the Livingroom to be greeted by Blake and Oscar; Blake wraps you in a hug. “My favourite person, how’s things?” Blake beamed at you. “They’re good.” You laughed at Blake. Nate is staring daggers at Blake. Blake hasn't noticed, you pull away and sit on the sofa. “So, Oscar, where’s Tara?” You grin at him. “She’s just getting ready.” Oscar blushes a little. “Are you two dating?” You asked. “Yes.” He blushed harder. Tara comes skipping into the Livingroo
It's been two weeks since Sam's death and you and Nate going on a break, you're hanging out with Blake, Zack and Oscar. "So you want to throw a party?" Blake asked, grinning like a Cheshire cat. "Yup." You laughed. "And that's why you need us?" Blake questioned. "I need the best party throwers in the house." You smiled, buttering Blake up. "Always, well since you asked so nicely, how can i say no?" Blake smiled at you. "Okay, well, erm, can you get the beer, please?" You asked, sweetly. "Has princess not got ID?" Blake mocks you. "No, you have to be 21, douchebag." You laughed in response. "I'm not 21." Blake replied. "You could pass for it." You smirked. "Really? What are you saying?" Blake gave you a skeptical look. "Calm your ego, I'm saying you look old." You laughed, mocking him. Zack and Oscar laugh, you notice Nate is stood there. "You good man?" Blake turned to Nate and asked. "Yeah, i was hoping we could talk Olivia?" Nate smiled at you. "I'm a little busy bu
