Chapter 10

"WHAT are you doing here?" Callie growled at Clyde as she pulled him to the corner of their living room.

Clyde smiled, placing his mouth to Callie's ear, and whispered, "Obviously, to get your parents' permission to court you."

Callie locked her gaze on Clyde. "What?" she exclaimed, stunned by his boldness in facing her parents.

Clyde's face became calm, and he stiffened his posture. He had intended to dress nicely to impress Callie's parents.

"As I've already mentioned before, Callie, I will go to any length to prove that my intentions to you are genuine."

Callie immediately averted her face from Clyde when she felt the heat on her cheeks. Why do his sweet words have such an impact on her?

Clyde saw Callie's reaction and can't help but grin. No matter how much she tries to hide it, he can still see through her eyes and gestures her true feelings for him.
