Reassurance
I was woken up by my phone ringing. I swung up from my couch, realising I fell asleep with the book still in my hands. I jumped up when I saw on my phone how late it was. And, moreover, Enzo was the one that called me.
My eyes widened, even though I was practically still half asleep. My heart pounded, as I remembered that I was supposed to meet up with Taylor. Feeling how anxiety crossed my body I finally picked up.
“Rose, do you know how long I waited for you to pick up? You should be ready as soon as possible. According to Charles, who is already at the location of the restaurant, Conson is waiting for you. And we need ten minutes at least to drive there.” He scolded me and my heart pounded against my chest aggressively.
