"A human, special to a vampire? Let alone the vampire king. Ridiculous." Rayne mutters, as he rolls his eyes in disbelief.

"You don't need to be a prick, Rayne. Let's not forget she may not even be human now why don't you get me that information? Ryker replies, rolling his eyes.

"I can tell just by looking at her she is not fae." Rayne retorts and Ryker growls at him.

"I am asking you to check, now check. Despite what you may think we both know deep down she must have SOMETHING in her and fae, is the highest possibility." Ryker hisses and Rayne lets out a huff.

"You are lucky, you are my friend. I will see you in a few days." Rayne comments, before turning on his heel and walking away.

"I don't think he likes me very much." I mention after a few minutes.

"Rayne, can be an ass at times. Just try not to take it personally, okay? He doesn't know you like I do. You're the most innocent girl I have ever met. I don't think you have a single bad bone in your body." Ryker tells me with a
