Louis nodded, "I understand."

Louis and Avery didn't leave either; they waited for Hannah to come back as they had some questions they wanted to ask her.

Guy saw that it was about time and went out to buy groceries. With guests at home, he needed to prepare dinner.

The room in the attic was where Judy had once stayed, and Avery and Louis went up to the attic to have a look.

Pushing open the door, Avery looked at the furnishings in the room and imagined the scene of Judy lying on the bed, waiting for death in agony. Her heart felt heavy.

Avery said, "There's nothing more desolate than the arrival of death with no loved ones present."

Louis lamented, "Yes, not even being able to see the last face of one's dearest, how much regret she must have felt at that time."

Avery walked to the window of the attic and looked out. The direction was directly towards Birmingham.
