Erica's POV
I spent my break time with Eirin. We went to a nearby cafe and have a chit-chat, to know each other more."So why did you apply being a janitress when you can be a model somewhere?" she asked out of the blue.
"Model?" I asked narrowing my eyebrows.
"Yeah. A model. Duh! You're beautiful, Aila," she complimented.
I smiled a bit. "I'm not," I said as I looked down to my coffee. I'm maintaining the usual attitude of Aila Miller, the quiet, cold, and shy type women whose just a janitress at a successful company.
She chuckled. "Come on, Aila. You're way better than that look of yours. You want me to give you a makeover?" she asked.
I raised my head up and looked at her. "No. No." I immediately refuse, shaking my head wildly. If she gave me a makeover, the real Erica Roberts will show up amd my disguise as Aila Miller would be wasted.
"Why not?" she asked.
"I don't like makeover's," I shortly replied as I looked down to my coffee again. We need to talk about something else. Think, Erica. Think.
"Uhmm..." I looked at her.
"Yeah?" she asked after she take a zip from her coffee.
"Did you know why Senior Enril died?" I asked. I lift up my teacup and zip coffee from it. I can't think of anything to ask her.
She lean towards me and started to talk using a low voice.
"They say that seven years ago, he was killed by his own granddaughter, Erica Roberts," she narrated like she was telling a scary story.
I put down the teacup and looked at her. "Have you seen that Erica Roberts?" I asked like as if I don't know that woman.
"Nope. I haven't seen her yet, even in pictures. Other says that the Roberts family throw out all her photos after the incident happened. Photos of her were put down in social media and in news too."
I nodded slowly. It's a hood thing they put down all my photos. "Who takes care of the company now?" I asked like as if I don't know.
"Madam Rosett and Mister Gil of course," she answered.
I nodded again. "Who is the actual heir if the company after Senior Enril?" I asked again.
"That's a good question. It was Senior Enril's granddaughter. She's the real heir to the company. But, unluckily, she had committed such a big crime that changed her whole life."
I gritted my teeth as I clenched my fist. No. My aunt and uncle made such a big crime that changed my whole life. I didn't do it. They made everyone believe that I did it. They're assholes.
I pick up my teacup and take a zip again. "Some says that Erica Roberts---is dead."
I almost throw out the coffee from my mouth beacuse of what she said. "Dead?" I exclaimed.
"Yeah. Many people said that she died while being in prison. But there's still no proof about it," she answered. "People rarely receive news from Erica Roberts."
Who the heck made that gossip? I'm not dead! Gosh.
"But you know what?" I looked at her as she spoke again. "Those people who were quite close to Erica Roberts claimed that she didn't do it and that she was framed up," she stated.
That's right. I really didn't do it.
"Cause they say that Erica Roberts was very close to his grandfather and that she was actually kind. So they couldn't believe that Erica Roberts did it," she added.
As I was about to nod my head when I saw a familiar figure of a man, entered the cafe. I looked down to my teacup as I confirmed who it was.
Klyde Aero Morrison, of course.
"Hey, hey, Aila," Eirin whispered. I simply look at her to ask what she needs.
"That man." She pointed to Klyde Morrison who seats at the table beside us. "That man is an actual hotty. He's so handsome and hot. And he's also very rich. To be exact, he's one of the biggest bussiness partner of Madam Rosett and Mister Gil. He has the biggest shares, donors, and investments to the company."
Yeah. He's rich and good looking---but he's a bastard."He's a CEO of his own construction company too. I also heard that he has a nice body!" she shrieked in a low voice. "Can you imagine seeing him shirtless?"
Bleaargh---yuck!
"He's lookin' our way," she whispered.I glanced at him but when I see him looking at us, I immediately looked to a different direction. I've seen him already earlier, I don't wanna see him again. If he recognizes me, my whole plan and my entire life would be ruined. I won't let that happen because of some sort of handsome, hotty, billionaire guy.
I saw Eirin smile at 'that' Klyde with the words, "Hi sir."
A thought crossed my mind. It would be suspicious if I didn't greet him. I'm one of the employees, it is only normal for us to greet them.
I looked at him while gathering all my strength. "Good morning, sir," I greeted him politely and let out a coy smile. I noticed that his eyes squinted and his eyebrows furrowed a bit. Shoot! Did he recognize me?!
I immediately look at Eirin and made up a new topic about her life. She then answer my questions and we continued our chit-chat while I strive my best to act focus and not being distracted by Klyde Morrison's presence.

"[So how was you're first day?]" Silver asked, were having a phonecall.
"It was good," I answered shortly as I wash my hands here in the janitor's bathroom. No one's in here so no one can hear our conversation.
"[You found something?]" she asked.
I picked up my phone from the small shelf in here. "Not yet. I need to explore the building more and get familiarize here. It could help me to escape this building easily when I have my proof," I answered.
"[All right. Take your time.]" she replied
"By the way. Klyde Aero Morrison is here," I said in a low voice.
"[Oh shoot! Yeah. I forgot to tell you that he visit their sometimes. Did he recognize you?]"
"No. I have a strong disguise," I replied confidently though I'm not so sure. I suddenly hear footsteps coming from outside.
"Okay. Bye now, Silver. Someone's coming." With that words, I immediately hang up the phonecall and rush to the sink. Eirin and some other janitress came, they saw me washing my hands when they entered.
"Oh. Aila there you are," said Eirin and rushed towards me. "Do you wanna come with us tomorrow?" she asked
"Where?"
"Were going to celebrate!" They all chorused.
"Celebrate what?"
"Many janitress got hired this month---and I'm one of those---so were planning to celebrate it tomorrow evening at a restaurant," said Jessica, another co-janitress of mine here.
"Yeah. Why not?" I replied. I see nothing wrong with hanging out with them. Besides, I also need some fun, after all what I've gone through, it's exhausting.
"Alright. Let's all meet at the Arvo Corner tomorrow after our shifts," declared Eirin.
Erica's POV"Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" Klyde asked. I could see in his eyes that he's so worried.I shook my head. "N-no. He didn't saw me and he didn't approach me either." He exhaled loudly out of relief. We went inside his mansion. I tried to calm myself down while Klyde is doing some phonecalls with someone I don't know. He seems tensed and irritated."Erica," Klyde called, he's finished with his phonecalls. I immediately turn to him. He sat on the couch across me. "I have a couple of big news for you. Can you handle it?"I got curious because of his question but then I nodded."Let's start with the man that killed Madeline... Tiger has been tracing him for weeks already before you saw him earlier--- but he's just so mysterious. He goes around the city and different provinces using different names and sometimes different disguises and identities. He has three criminal records in his three different identities.""Why didn't the police arrested him?" I asked. "He's good at hi
Erica's POV"We will miss you, Aila."My co-janitresses hugged me tightly for the last time. I resigned today. It was for my own good."I'll pay a visit. And besides, we can still hang out some times," I said as we let go of our hug. They were in a circle form in front of me, all staring at me sadly. "Thank you, guys." For the first and last time as Aila Miller, I smiled to them."Take care, girl," said Anne. I just nodded to them before I leave the janitors quarters. I'm gonna miss them. I only spent a coouple of months with them but I had a great time. And because of them, I realized one thing... that I can be truely happy with those people who really accepts me even though they don't have the riches. As I was walking by the lounge area, someone held me by the arm and grabbed me to an empty meeting room. When I finally saw who it was, I rolled my eyes. Zoe."I know you're resigning but don't tell to anyone my secret. Okay?" she uttered firmly, warning me."What will I do to your sec
Erica's POVThe next day was normal to me. But my mind was completely somewhere else.Since Klyde insisted, he performed the DNA test between Alice and Zoe. Speaking of Alice, she's getting better now. And by Friday, I'm going to resign. All was going in our plan... except for this thing. While I was moping the floor, someone stood right in front of me so I looked up to him and saw Matthew. I was startled by his sudden appearance but I didn't show it. "G-good morning, Sir Matthew," I greet politely using the Aila Miller's voice. He was looking at me like I did a crime to him. "Come with me to my office." My forehead creased on what he said. "I need you to clean something there."Without any other word, he turn his back to me and started walking away. With my head crowded in thoughts, I followed him. When I entered his office, he was already sitting on his office chair so I started mopping the floor."Erica."My eyes went w
CHAPTER 22Erica's POV"I know I'm ugly stop it," I said lazily. He let out a chuckle and leans back to his seat."Ehem." We both looked at the waiter whose carying a glistening tray contaning our order. Well, Klyde ordered a lot and I know that this is just the appetizer. "Here are your orders, ma'am and sir." We watch him gently put the dishes on our table.Even though I really want to appreciate the beauty of these expensive dishes, I can't. I sighed heavily. I used to visit five star restaurants before and taste these foods with perfection. How I miss those good old days. How I miss my old self."Eat. You'll get prettier," said Klyde when the waiter walks away. I rolled my eyeballs again and started eating.I was in the midst of appreciating the taste of the dish when a thought popped up to my mind.Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait!!!Is this--- perhaps... a date?!?!I swallowed hard and looked up to him. He paused
Erica's POVAlice is just a young and innocent little girl. But because of my family, she grew up realizing that the world is dark and filled with cruelty."I need Alice's toothbrush," I said casually to Alisson. I've been here for the past two hours, helping Alisson take care of Alice. She's getting better but still needs some rest. That's why me and Alisson talked on the living room.I saw how her forehead knotted and shot me with questioning eyes, "Why?""For a DNA test," I answered as I sit on the couch, facing her. "I have an idea on who could her mother be.""T-that's a good thing." She smiled but it didn't reached her ears, it's almost a faint smile. Before I leave, Alisson handed me Alice's toothbrush and in return I gave her the new toothbrush that I bought earlier. I gave them both farewell before I leave and ride on a taxi and went straight to Silver's house."Does Tyler know a doctor who can perform a DNA tes
Erica's POV"At least now, we prooved that it's the real hard drive your looking for," Klyde mentioned as he handed me the glass of water.I immediately accept it and drink from it. After I cried so hard, Klyde managed to calm me down. I could say that he knows how to pampered and calm down a woman's heart. He accompany me to sit on the couch and assisted me. For the first time around, I felt that he's actually a caring man. Also, maybe enough to be trusted."I need to tell you something," I spoke, putting back the glass on the mini table in front of us. I looked to my right, facing him. "There's a witness on Madeline's death. And I know her. I know where she lives, and I know how she'd have been," I said courageously."Excuse me, Miss Miller, but are you talking about the woman who hides behind the boxes and witnessed the murder?" Mr. Tiger asked. We watched the video together that's why he knows.I gulped before I speak. "Yes
