CHAPTER 5 - Informations

Erica's POV

I spent my break time with Eirin. We went to a nearby cafe and have a chit-chat, to know each other more.

"So why did you apply being a janitress when you can be a model somewhere?" she asked out of the blue.

"Model?" I asked narrowing my eyebrows.

"Yeah. A model. Duh! You're beautiful, Aila," she complimented.

I smiled a bit. "I'm not," I said as I looked down to my coffee. I'm maintaining the usual attitude of Aila Miller, the quiet, cold, and shy type women whose just a janitress at a successful company.

She chuckled. "Come on, Aila. You're way better than that look of yours. You want me to give you a makeover?" she asked.

I raised my head up and looked at her. "No. No." I immediately refuse, shaking my head wildly. If she gave me a makeover, the real Erica Roberts will show up amd my disguise as Aila Miller would be wasted.

"Why not?" she asked.

"I don't like makeover's," I shortly replied as I looked down to my coffee again. We need to talk about something else. Think, Erica. Think.

"Uhmm..." I looked at her.

"Yeah?" she asked after she take a zip from her coffee.

"Did you know why Senior Enril died?" I asked. I lift up my teacup and zip coffee from it. I can't think of anything to ask her.

She lean towards me and started to talk using a low voice.

"They say that seven years ago, he was killed by his own granddaughter, Erica Roberts," she narrated like she was telling a scary story.

I put down the teacup and looked at her. "Have you seen that Erica Roberts?" I asked like as if I don't know that woman.

"Nope. I haven't seen her yet, even in pictures. Other says that the Roberts family throw out all her photos after the incident happened. Photos of her were put down in social media and in news too."

I nodded slowly. It's a hood thing they put down all my photos. "Who takes care of the company now?" I asked like as if I don't know.

"Madam Rosett and Mister Gil of course," she answered.

I nodded again. "Who is the actual heir if the company after Senior Enril?" I asked again.

"That's a good question. It was Senior Enril's granddaughter. She's the real heir to the company. But, unluckily, she had committed such a big crime that changed her whole life."

I gritted my teeth as I clenched my fist. No. My aunt and uncle made such a big crime that changed my whole life. I didn't do it. They made everyone believe that I did it. They're assholes.

I pick up my teacup and take a zip again. "Some says that Erica Roberts---is dead."

I almost throw out the coffee from my mouth beacuse of what she said. "Dead?" I exclaimed.

"Yeah. Many people said that she died while being in prison. But there's still no proof about it," she answered. "People rarely receive news from Erica Roberts."

Who the heck made that gossip? I'm not dead! Gosh.

"But you know what?" I looked at her as she spoke again. "Those people who were quite close to Erica Roberts claimed that she didn't do it and that she was framed up," she stated.

That's right. I really didn't do it.

"Cause they say that Erica Roberts was very close to his grandfather and that she was actually kind. So they couldn't believe that Erica Roberts did it," she added.

As I was about to nod my head when I saw a familiar figure of a man, entered the cafe. I looked down to my teacup as I confirmed who it was.

Klyde Aero Morrison, of course.

"Hey, hey, Aila," Eirin whispered. I simply look at her to ask what she needs.

"That man." She pointed to Klyde Morrison who seats at the table beside us. "That man is an actual hotty. He's so handsome and hot. And he's also very rich. To be exact, he's one of the biggest bussiness partner of Madam Rosett and Mister Gil. He has the biggest shares, donors, and investments to the company."

Yeah. He's rich and good looking---but he's a bastard.

"He's a CEO of his own construction company too. I also heard that he has a nice body!" she shrieked in a low voice. "Can you imagine seeing him shirtless?"

Bleaargh---yuck!

"He's lookin' our way," she whispered.

I glanced at him but when I see him looking at us, I immediately looked to a different direction. I've seen him already earlier, I don't wanna see him again. If he recognizes me, my whole plan and my entire life would be ruined. I won't let that happen because of some sort of handsome, hotty, billionaire guy.

I saw Eirin smile at 'that' Klyde with the words, "Hi sir."

A thought crossed my mind. It would be suspicious if I didn't greet him. I'm one of the employees, it is only normal for us to greet them.

I looked at him while gathering all my strength. "Good morning, sir," I greeted him politely and let out a coy smile. I noticed that his eyes squinted and his eyebrows furrowed a bit. Shoot! Did he recognize me?!

I immediately look at Eirin and made up a new topic about her life. She then answer my questions and we continued our chit-chat while I strive my best to act focus and not being distracted by Klyde Morrison's presence.

"[So how was you're first day?]" Silver asked, were having a phonecall.

"It was good," I answered shortly as I wash my hands here in the janitor's bathroom. No one's in here so no one can hear our conversation.

"[You found something?]" she asked.

I picked up my phone from the small shelf in here. "Not yet. I need to explore the building more and get familiarize here. It could help me to escape this building easily when I have my proof," I answered.

"[All right. Take your time.]" she replied

"By the way. Klyde Aero Morrison is here," I said in a low voice.

"[Oh shoot! Yeah. I forgot to tell you that he visit their sometimes. Did he recognize you?]"

"No. I have a strong disguise," I replied confidently though I'm not so sure. I suddenly hear footsteps coming from outside.

"Okay. Bye now, Silver. Someone's coming." With that words, I immediately hang up the phonecall and rush to the sink. Eirin and some other janitress came, they saw me washing my hands when they entered.

"Oh. Aila there you are," said Eirin and rushed towards me. "Do you wanna come with us tomorrow?" she asked

"Where?"

"Were going to celebrate!" They all chorused.

"Celebrate what?"

"Many janitress got hired this month---and I'm one of those---so were planning to celebrate it tomorrow evening at a restaurant," said Jessica, another co-janitress of mine here.

"Yeah. Why not?" I replied. I see nothing wrong with hanging out with them. Besides, I also need some fun, after all what I've gone through, it's exhausting.

"Alright. Let's all meet at the Arvo Corner tomorrow after our shifts," declared Eirin.
