We were calm as Johnson drove out of the government house. I don't know whether he was happy with the trip or not and I was not willing to ask him. What mattered more to me was that he was mine and not Julius. The time was after 3 PM and he may not want to return to work.

"Do you still have much to do in the office? I want to close for the day," he said calmly.

"Nothing much but I would like to pick up my laptop," I responded.

Without words, he drove to my office. He parked in the vestibule, got out of the car, and opened the door for me.

"I will be back," I said, and moved while he shut the door.

I walked to my office and shut down my laptop. I was about to put it into the bag when my door opened and he walked in.

"Hmm," I murmured and focused on him.

He walked to the couch, loosened his tie, and sat down. I dropped the bag and joined him.

"I'm proud of you, Johnson," I said the only thing I thought he would love to hear at the moment.

Johnson’s POV I held him tightly, right in the middle of his office, kissing him with all the passion he ignited in me. Reuben was desperate, his hands clutching at my shirt as if he feared I’d disappear. The way he loved me these days - fierce, unyielding - was both a wonder and a privilege. "My firstborn," I murmured, cradling his face. "Is there something you’re not telling me? You love me more than I ever imagined possible." He kissed me again, slow and sweet. "You keep proving I made the right choice. Thank you for choosing me." My chest tightened at his words. I pulled him closer, whispering against his lips, "You’re the best decision I've ever made. Thank you for accepting me." He rested his head on my shoulder, his breathing steadying as we stood there, wrapped in each other. After a long moment, I finally asked, "What did you want to show me?" Reuben lifted his head, his eyes gleaming with mischief and something deeper-something that made my pulse quicken. "This,

I pulled him close, resting my forehead against his. "Because you were there with me. I couldn’t have done it alone." He chuckled softly. "Well, next time, let’s just tell them from the start. My nerves can’t take another night like this." I kissed him lightly. "Deal." With that, we settled into the comfort of honesty and transparency and the peace that came with it. Suddenly, Julius' phone buzzed with a message. We turned to look at the phone which was on the candlestand. He picked it up at once and said, "It's from Big Brother."I was thrilled and adjusted. He tapped the message and began to read.Julius' POV Henry had been campaigning on our behalf concerning the project. He had been able to mobilize many people."Hello, Little brother. I hope you and Hendrick are doing well. I have received support from the following people and transferred it to you. Kindly contact and appreciate them through their attached contacts."I felt exhilarated and screamed, "Yes!" raising my two

"Pardon us, Captain," the broad-shouldered man said."Shut up," Philip said. The royal soldiers stepped forward and one of them yelled, "Get up and follow the guards,""Okay, Captain," they answered in trepidation. He faced one of the guards and instructed, "Ensure that they cut all the grass before His Highness comes in the morning.""Ha!" The other troublemakers screamed."Shut your mouth. This is what you get by being troublesome.""We are not troublesome, Captain. He led us into this," one of them said, pointing to the broad-shouldered man."Nonsense," the soldier cursed and ordered the guards, "Do as I said.""I got you, Captain," the guard said and searched the troublemakers for any weapon while the royal soldiers watched him. When he found nothing in them, he cuffed their ankles together with a longer chain, forcing them to move in sync."Move, all of you," he ordered. The soldiers were pleased and got back into their car.Hendrick was worried, especially about returning to

I glanced at him, a flicker of worry passing through me. He was right. Even with the king’s tolerance, there would be opposition but the determination in Hendrick’s eyes steadied me. "We’ll make it work," I said, more to myself than anyone else. Elara smiled. "With your support, Your Highness, it will." The rest of the visit passed in a blur of discussions - budgets, timelines, potential challenges. By the time we returned to the car, the sun was dipping low, casting long shadows across the land that would soon become a refuge. As Hendrick drove us back, I found myself lost in thought. This was more than just a project. It was a legacy - one that could change lives long after we were gone."You’re quiet," Hendrick remarked, glancing at me. "Just thinking," I admitted. "About how much this will mean to them." He reached for my hand again, his grip warm and reassuring. "And to us." I squeezed back, feeling a surge of gratitude for the man beside me. Together, we could buil

The PM was happy with us for showing him that respect."Most successful business owners feel that they don't need government and they are far away. Only criticizing our policies," he pointed out bitterly. I don't know how to respond to such a subtle allegation, which was referring to us - both of us were guilty.Johnson, in his usual way, must come up with something. I was happy with him when he began to speak, his posture relaxed yet respectful."Prime Minister, that perception is precisely why we requested this meeting. Distance can breed misunderstanding, and criticism, when shouted from the sidelines, rarely builds anything."He paused, letting the words settle. The PM watched him intently, his expression unreadable but attentive. On my part, I was proud of my man."We do engage with the policies," Johnson continued, a hint of earnestness replacing his usual detached tone. "Deeply. We analyze their impact on our operations, our employees, and the communities where we work. Someti
