Alex left Anna in the room and went out to think about everything that was happening. After discovering that Anna was cheating on him, he had been so upset and promised himself that he would not have anything to do with her.

However, with the situation at hand, he could not just ignore her. Her life was in danger and he needed to protect her but the people she was up against were not people he could handle or take on his own. He needed to know more.
