Tabitha’s POV

Evren doesn’t move for almost a minute. He just showers my cheek, neck, and ear with soft, dainty kisses, each one gentle enough to melt some of the tension in my body. I breathe slowly, letting myself settle into the warmth of him.

My hands trail up his back in quiet strokes, feeling the steady rise and fall of his breath beneath my palms. The closeness steadies me more than anything else. I trace the line of his shoulder, then his jaw, brushing my thumb along the curve of his cheek. He closes his eyes at the touch, leaning into it as if it means something to him too.

He catches my hand before it falls away, bringing my knuckles to his lips. The kiss he leaves there is soft, almost reverent, his thumb brushing over the back of my hand as if to ask without words if I’m alright.

I swallow, meeting his eyes. The tenderness in them makes my heart flutter in a way the nerves can’t drown out.

“I’m okay,” I whisper, giving his hand a gentle squeeze. “You can… you can move now.

Tabitha’s POVEach of them leans in to kiss me quickly, and then I step out of the car feeling a bit dazed. Jace waves his hand at me through the window before the car drives away, and off they go to the naval station.I hope they’ll be okay.I walk inside and immediately sense that something is off. The estate is oddly quiet. Too quiet. I mean, it’s not exactly a party in the mansion when the brothers are not around, but I notice that there are not even a single househelps in sight. No clinking dishes from the kitchen. Not even Tom’s steady footsteps in the hall.Where are the people?I move through the hallways, trying to find someone, anyone, but every corner is empty. Huh, that’s really weird. It’s almost as if the whole mansion is suddenly deserted or something. It’s unusual to get inside the mansion and not stumble upon a single employee. Usually, even if the brothers or Alpha Emery are not around, I’d see some of them trimming the garden or watering the plants, or gossiping whi

  • Navy's Sons: Bullied by Quadruplet Stepbrothers   105. Unexpected News

Tabitha’s POVWe stay there for a long while, just enjoying the cool water in the lagoon which is perfect after the scorching afternoon sun we had to endure before we even reach this paradise. Jace wraps his arm around my waist under the water while trailing a kiss on my shoulder.“Jace, that tickles,” I giggle when his lips find their way behind my ear, playfully licking it.“Hmm, but you like it,” he teases.“Says who?” I cock a brow in challenge.“Says these perky little nuggets,” he says and grabs my breasts, his thumb zeroing on my hardened nipples.I gasp in indignation and smack his hands away. “Did you just call my boobs nuggets?”Jace snickers. “No, I meant your nipples. They’re like a pair of tasty nuggets. Or sweet lollipops. I want to snack on them all the time,” he explains and puts his palm back on my breasts again as if it's his favorite stress ball.I blush. “My nipples are not snacks.”“They could be,” Reed says as he swims towards us. He cups my face and gives me a s

  • Navy's Sons: Bullied by Quadruplet Stepbrothers   104. Corinne

Tabitha’s POVBy the way her sons talk about her, I can tell that Corinne Aldair was a good woman. Reed and even Jace can barely say their father’s name without pulling a face, yet every memory they share of their mother comes out soft and just reminiscing about her is enough to put a smile on their faces. I know people usually become saints in stories once they’re buried, but I don’t think that’s what this is. Corinne feels like the kind of woman who genuinely left a warm mark on them. Her sons loved her. Watching them smile while looking at her tree proves that much.“Did she ever teach you guys anything interesting?” I ask.“She taught me how to aim a slingshot properly when I was four.” Luca grins. “And learn throwing knives when I was eleven.”“Oh yeah, I remember when she made us aim the apple on top of Jace’s teddy bear as a punishment when she caught him pulling some nasty pranks on the maids.” Reed snickers. “He almost cried when it was my turn to hit the thing.”“You were pl

  • Navy's Sons: Bullied by Quadruplet Stepbrothers   103. Go Home

Tabitha’s POVThe next day, after we ate lunch and lazed out in the living room, the brothers announced that they want to keep true to their words and use our five-day camping excuse to explore the forest. Seeing how there’s nothing really entertaining to do in the cottage, I agree. So I find myself in the car with them as we drive deeper into the woods. I ask them where exactly we are going but of course, they want everything to be a freaking surprise. The car bumps along the narrow dirt road, trees pressing close on both sides. I look out the window as sunlight spills through the leaves. After a while, we climb a small hill, and the forest opens into a wide clearing.Huh. This is new. I’ve never been this deep into the forest before."This is incredible," I say, my voice catching in awe.It feels like a different world. The brothers know so many places I have never seen. First the waterfalls, and now this.“What part of the island even is this?” I ask.“We are near the far north sid

  • Navy's Sons: Bullied by Quadruplet Stepbrothers   102.The mindlink

Tabitha’s POVI wake to the soft light spilling through the bedroom window. My eyes blink against it, and slowly, shapes come into focus. Four figures stand around the bed.“You should really stop fainting every five minutes or we’re gonna die from a heart attack,” Jace says, voice edged with mock exasperation.I let out a weak laugh and push myself up on my elbows. “I’m fine,” I say, my voice hoarse.Luca steps closer, holding a glass of water. “Here. Drink this,” he says, offering it to me. I take it gratefully, the cool liquid soothing my dry throat.“How long have I been out?” I ask, brushing a strand of hair from my face.“Just a few hours,” Luca says. “We were very worried about you. Do you want us to take you to the hospital?”I shake my head. “No, I’ll be fine.” I bring a hand to my head, expecting the migraine to return, but there is nothing. It is gone.I glance at them, hesitating. “So… about the mindlink. Is it true? Can I use it now too?”Evren steps closer, his expressio

  • Navy's Sons: Bullied by Quadruplet Stepbrothers   101. Mindlink 101

Tabitha’s POVThe brothers all take their seats around the table. I glance at the food in front of us and my stomach growls. The scrambled eggs are fluffy, the pancakes stacked high, and the bacon smells perfectly crisp. I don’t waste any more seconds before I dive in. The flavor explodes in my mouth. The eggs are well-seasoned and the pancakes are like clouds in my tongue and they’re not too sweet! Just perfect to start the day. The bacon is also exactly how I want it."This is really good. I didn’t peg you guys as people who could make something like this," I say, smiling.Reed raises a challenging brow at me. "We were raised by our mom who loves to go camping, princess. Do you think we bring some maids whenever we go camping?" he asks, smirking."You don’t?" I tease, raising an eyebrow as well.Luca snorts beside me. He looks amused as if his favorite morning show just started."This may come as a shock," Reed continues while cutting into his pancakes, "but we’re actually quite sel
