OSCAR GRAY

“You are ready to go home now, Oscar. Remember to limit stress,” Gerald informed me as he handed me the final discharge papers.

I gave him a small nod. “Thanks, Gerald.”

He smiled. “I will leave now, see you soon.”

With that, he walked away, offering only a brief glance at Alicia—pointedly avoiding any interaction with her.

I exhaled slowly. A part of me was relieved to be leaving the hospital, but another part wasn’t sure how to feel. Being here, confined to a single room, had given me time to think—about everything. And now, stepping back into my world, I wasn’t sure I was ready for what awaited me.

Before I could dwell on it too much, Alicia spoke up. “Don’t worry, darling, I will pack everything.”

I turned to her, shaking my head. “You don’t need to, Alicia.”

She ignored me, already moving around the room, gathering my things as if it was her responsibility.

I sighed, rubbing my forehead. It wasn’t worth arguing over.

THIRD PERSON“Can you please pack an extra lunch for me, Miranda?” Diamond asked sweetly.“Why would you need extra lunch, Diamond?” Miranda replied, raising an eyebrow. “This is already more than enough. You barely finish your food as it is.”“Maybe just a little more today,” Diamond pleaded.“Not unless you have a good reason for this unusual request,” Miranda said firmly as she closed the lids of the food flasks.Tilda walked in, having overheard the kitchen conversation. She was curious as to why Diamond would ask for extra lunch.“I want to share with Shantel,” Diamond explained quietly.“Shantel?” Tilda repeated, surprised.Diamond turned toward her mother. “Mommy, please ask Miranda to give me more food today,” she begged.“Why do you want to share your lunch with Shantel?” Tilda asked, concerned. The request sounded oddly familiar. It reminded Tilda of her childhood with Kristie—always giving, always sacrificing, only to end up hurt. She couldn’t shake the worry that Diamond m

OSCAR GRAYI glanced around, but the room was unusually quiet. The lights were off, and even her desktop had been shut down. Had she closed and left already? I asked myself. But why would she leave so early? Surely, there were still tasks left to be completed. It was only when I pulled out my phone to call her that I noticed the time—it was past 7 p.m. I hadn’t even realized it had gotten this late.I sighed and quickly dialed Steven.“Hello, boss,” his voice came through.“I need that now, Steven,” I said, then hung up.Definitely, this will get her to forgive me.With trembling fingers, I sent her a text.TILDAI had just finished eating dinner when my phone beeped.“Mommy, it’s your phone,” Dixon said, bringing it to me.“Thanks, Dixon,” I replied as I collected the phone from him.I opened the message. It was from Oscar. It read: Can you come to my office first thing in the morning?“Who is it?” Miranda, who had been observing me the whole time, asked.I sighed. “Mr. Gray.”Immedi

TILDAI stopped by the door the moment I saw Lady Sheila seated in Oscar’s office.“You can come in, Tilda,” Oscar called out, not even glancing in my direction.“Actually, sir…” I began nervously.Lady Sheila cut in before I could finish. “Is she still here, Oscar? You should have fired her already.”Oscar flicked a quick glance at me, fuddling with the pen in his hand.“I can come back later, Mr. Gray,” I said, trying to excuse myself.“No,” his voice cut in, firm and clear. “You should leave.”I paused, confused. “I... I should?” I stuttered. He nodded, eyes returning to his desk. “Aunt Sheila, you can go now. I must focus on work.”Lady Sheila scoffed, rising slowly from her seat. “Hmph… You can’t possibly have her here after what you found out.”When Oscar didn’t respond, she slammed her fist on the desk. “Oscar! I am speaking to you.”To my surprise, Oscar stood and calmly took her by the arm.“I won’t appreciate any more interference in my work, Aunt,” he said as he led her tow

THIRD PERSONLady Sheila had barged in so suddenly that neither Tilda nor anyone else had time to react. The kids, who had been taken by surprise, looked helpless in her grip. Tilda had been about to announce them as hers before Sheila interrupted. Now, they weren’t sure whether to react or wait for Tilda to.When Tilda could finally muster her voice, she mumbled, “Aunt Sheila.”She wanted to give the news, but Lady Sheila’s sudden arrival had disrupted her plan. She was utterly confused and didn’t know what to do.Lady Sheila grunted. “You cannot use them to get to Oscar. I can see right through your scheme.”Oscar stood up. “You shouldn’t interrupt us that way, Aunt.”Lady Sheila retorted, “You are all blinded by her, but I am not. She’s only using the kids to get to you. I stopped her the first time—now she’s doing it again. Who knows what she’s up to?” She turned to Tilda. “These are kids, Tilda. It is shameful to use them for your hideous motive.”“That is not true,” Tilda counte

TILDAWith uncertainty, I leaned on the door as I watched Miranda get the kids dressed to leave for Monsieur King’s estate. It was today—I would have to reveal everything to Oscar today, even the fact that I wasn’t sure of the kids’ real father. He might think low of me or even push me away, but I wasn’t going to continue living these lies anymore.“Won’t you be there, Mommy? You aren’t dressed yet?” Dixon asked.“Oh,” Dylan stared at his phone. “Mr. Gray says he will come to pick us,” he announced.“No!” My heart skipped a beat. He couldn’t find out just yet. I already had my plans on how to go about it.“Are you changing your mind now, Mommy? We can cancel,” Dixon said.“Yes, Tilda, if you don’t want this yet, we would understand,” Miranda agreed.“No, I mean to... to tell Mr. Gray not to come over,” I stuttered.Their curious eyes turned to me, none saying anything.“Um, just tell him you’re already out and will find your way to the estate,” I explained. “He shouldn’t know you live

  • OUR MUMMY'S EX-HUSBAND WANTS TO CLAIM US NOW   CHAPTER 96 – THE MORNING AFTER

TILDAThe soft knock on the door jolted me awake. As I turned over, the memories of the night before began to slowly creep in, wrapping around me like a fog I hadn’t asked for. Then I saw him—Oscar—sleeping peacefully beside me, his arm draped across the sheets like he belonged there.I gasped.Oscar? He had spent the night here. Oh my God… I actually let him in.What about the kids? Had they seen him? They’d made it very clear that they didn’t want any man near me. How on earth would I explain this?Worse… I hadn’t even locked the door. The knock came again, this time softer, more cautious. Panic welled up in my chest. I quickly did the sign of the cross and tiptoed out of bed like a thief sneaking from a crime scene. Was it one of the kids? Were they still home? What would I do if Oscar saw them? I wasn’t ready to let out my secret yet. I could barely process it myself.Peeking through the door, I sighed in relief—it was Miranda. But still, Oscar couldn’t see her.She grabbed my han
