Ingrid Alessia's point of view

I’ve read this twice already pero somehow, binabalik-balikan ko pa rin. Maybe because I needed something solid to remind myself why I agreed to all of this. Two years.

“For the company,” I whispered. “For Dad. For the family name. For the goddamn legacy.”

I flipped the page again. Two years was enough time to stabilize our company’s finances, thanks to the Moretti name. In exchange, the Moretti Corporation who’s planning to expand their firm internationally, gets the perfect clean image, a stable marriage, strong family values, and one hell of a power couple.

I was a Corporate Lawyer for a reason. I liked precision, I lik

Ingrid Alessia's point of view Habang naka-set up pa ang laptop ko sa mesa, I was scanning the draft contracts over and over, baka meron pang ibang butas. Then I saw something, out of the corner of my eye. Si Niño na nakaupo sa desk chair niya near the window, nakatagilid 'yung phone niya just enough to hide his screen.

“Actually,” sabat niya, placing his tablet flat on the table, “Ingrid’s right. If that clause pushes through, hindi kakayanin ng timeline. Feasibility-wise, we’d be shooting ourselves in the foot.” “Or baka you’re both overthinking. Clauses like that are standard. Pulling out now would only make us look weak in front of them.” Sabay turo sa southern asian peps. I gripped my pen tighter under the table. Standard? Really, Silvano? That’s not standard, that’s a trap clause. Leonhardt stayed quiet, pero ramdam ko na he was caught in between, between my instincts as counsel and Silvano’s cold, ruthless logic. Umigting naman ang panga niya, a sign I knew too well. Naputol naman an

The conference room smelled faintly of coffee and bagong bukas na printer ink. Papers were already spread across the long table, projectors humming, and Rico hunched over his tablet like it was a life-support machine. Meron kasing idinagdag ang Southern Asian, kaya need namin mag review talaga ng todo and gather all the info needed. Halos imposible, diba? Pero kailangan pa rin nating subukan.” Si Clarisse naman na laging maaasahan, slid a stack of neatly printed reports across the table. “I already compiled the last three quarters’ data. “Good job,” Leonhardt said simply, scanning the first page without missing a beat. Niño leaned back on his chair, sipping

They're all wearing formal suits. “Sir, just so you know, their team moved up the presentation to tomorrow morning. That means we have less than twelve hours to finalize the projections,” mabilis niyang bulong kay Leonhardt, obvious na ang stress sa boses niya. “Calm down, Rico,” Leonhardt muttered, hindi man lang nadadala

Ingrid Alessia's point of view The moment I stepped into the boardroom, I immediately felt their eyes on me. I was no stranger to doubtful stares, but it still felt different when it happened inside my husband’s own company. “Alright,” Leonhardt started, nang makita niyang nakaupo na ako, “we’re flying out tomorrow for the Southern Asian partnership deal. Ingrid will be joining us as corporate counsel.” The air grew heavier. Even if they didn’t say it out loud, I could already feel what they were thinking: Why her? Isn’t she suspended? Silvano leaned back and crosses his arms. “We’ll be trusting someone whose name is c

  • Owned By Contract    Ch. 35: Interrupted

Leonhardt Dietrich’s Point of View Hindi ko pa man tuluyang naibaba ang kamay ko mula sa hita ni Ingrid ay mabilisan naman siyang lumayo at inayos ang suot niya. Perfect fvcking timing, I thought bitterly, habang nag-ayos kami pareho. Ingrid tugged her skirt down repeatedly, her cheeks still flushed. Her lipstick was smudged a little, my fault. And I didn’t even regret it. I cleared my throat. “Come in.” I said after I pulled open the door. When it pushed widely open. Of course it was my secretary. “I just need your signature on these urgent project documents.” “Could’ve waited,” I muttered, signing them without even checking. Pero hindi ang secret
