CHAPTER 9 : An Ally?

“Enough!” The tension slowly dies when Hera breaks their conversation.

“Alpha Baron, you came here unannounced. I know you are fully aware that there is a rule.” She calmly continued. I couldn’t trace any hint of hearing in her face.

“And I’m clear since the beginning of my motive. I’ll bring that woman home.” Alpha Baron replied firmly.

“Unfortunately, we let her go this morning because she asks for her freedom. I hope you understand that simple sentence. Even a three-year-old kid would understand that, so please don’t make it complicated for all of us here.” Hera retaliated in full of conviction. She knew that Alpha Killian can’t speak nicely and if she didn’t interrupt their intense conversation then probably a war has occurred already.

“I believe that Hera was telling the truth, after all, she’s the most respected member of this pack.” It sounds like an insult to Alpha Killian that’s why when I shift my gaze at him, I notice how Hera was holding his arm tightly.
